problem with touch screen, need help fast :(

Hello,
I have big problem, i changed registry entry in HKLM\DRIVERS\TOUCHPANEL\PreassureThreshold was about 6000 and i use 1200 now my screen does not react ((
How can i fix it?? pls i need fast help
you have to do a hard reset.
playing in the registry can be danguorus.
but with hard reset you set back your registry too.
Can you still navigate by using your hardware buttons?
If so, you could start the touchscreen calibration:
Press the windows-icon-button, use the D-pad to move to "settings", and press enter/center button. Go to "system" and then to "screen", there you can choose "Align Touchscreen".
Hope the names are correct, I'm using a german WM6.
And I hope this helps...

thx guys but i have made hard reset, the real problem was that my ppc had a digital blokade, and i could do nothink cause to unlock it was need workin touch screen all stuff deleted, no back-ups (( its my first ppc
Now i know, play with my ppc can be dangerous :]
No playing with your PPC isn't dangerous!!
Playing without a proper backup is dangerous!

Stuck on Align screen (tapping works)

I just resurected my xda IIs from the grave and upon start I come to the Align screen stage. I follow the directions as usual but it just keeps asking for the taps over and over and over. It never passes the same five steps. I've tried different ROMs but they all stop there. Could it be caused by the little internal battery being dead? Is my digitizer crap? Is it martians? Are the forces of evil combining against me? Am I doomed?
I'd like to see this old guy work again.
Thanks for any tips in advance.

hard rest then hold the 2 buttons next to the volume slider only and press the rest button on the bottom using the stylus.this should take you to the 4 color screen with 3 options to be set
1st one leave as NO just press the top button
2nd option as yes by pressing the bottom button then press the top button to goto the 3rd
3rd option change to yes again by pressing the bottom button
then press the message button on the front that looks like an postal letter
this wil reset the options saved kind of like resetting a pc bios to manufacture defaults .
then try again to do the alignment.
I had similar when I flashed pdaviets rom to my blue angel and that resolved it
Thanks for the reply, unfortunately I broke me screen tinkering with it so I'm not able to test your idea.
I started with two LCDs one with a bad digitizer and one with a broken screen. I touch the digitizer off the one a replaced the other so that I had a working screen but then I had the problem listed above. Before I saw your response I thought I might have some dirt or something under the screen causing it to not work so I took it apart but I guess I was just a little too rough this time and cracked the LCD
I'll have to find a new LCD if I plan to resurrect this phone.
Thanks anyways for the help

I´ve tried everything with my XDA III PH20B1 - no camera model -, but I never get the 3 options screen. Just the 4 colors and bottom right the radio version R 1.10.00.
Is there any other way how to make my O2 XDA III boot after the WM6.1 upgrade ( from 2003se) ?
I have the same problem (I have already reply in another thread...), I am still trying to fix it. I suspect from the backup battery, since before I hard reset my SX66 all programs lost their configuration when I turn off and on again my SX66, and when I tried to realign the screen the align cycle repeated forever. Then I tried hard resetting, reflashing to various OS's and I can not pass the initial calibration screen.
Please keep me posted if someone have found the way to solve it.
Thanks !
no need to upgrade or delete anything from bios, this is not a cause of motherboard and software.I removed the motherboard and essembled in a working screen phone.there is no problem all ok,its not a problem with backup battery too. Then i changed working phone motherboard to cant align phone but same as before it dsnt align. Therefore in my investigation its a problem with the touch or screen.
its not a problem with screen cover too.
If any knows the exact solution for align problem screen ,please post it.
eway - press the power/stand by and leave for 15-30secs
then pen reset, press [cam] + [rec] as the 4 colour screen comes on and change 2/3 - as previously stated countless times - press [mail] to reset - this will reboot your new rom.
touch flo user manual is a little allusive
but, soo much too test, soo little time

post a link, please!!
How to bypass Align Screen?
If you have flashed a proper rom/ hard reset your device, there could be some dust on display which won't let the align screen pass. This is a real annoying feature on WM platform. But guess there are always ways to bypass software related issues.
The display can be cleaned by patting a small amount of water on it, and then running the water along with a visiting card on the edges of the screen. This will take off all the dust on the sides, and will let you pass the align screen easily. You can simply wipe the display propely with a glass cleaner.
If this doesn't help then :
When your phone says align screen, connect the phone with computer and get it detected in Active Sync. Next, you could be able to access Tree/Files on your phone. If you are able to do so, then go to startup and delete files directing to Align Screen, if I remb it was "welcome" something. Delete the file, and there won't be any align screen.
or
You can always go for an easier method. Download Code Factory's Remore Screen Alignment (http://www.codefactory.es/en/downloads.asp?id=108). And simply enjoy.
In both of the case, active connection with Active Sync is important. If you are unable to connect your phone, then I believe there ain't any way other than changing the display.
Hope it helps.

O2 Flame
Hello everybody,
I've got a serious problem with my 2 years old O2 Flame: sometimes, when I reboot my pda, I can't realign the screen. And when I can do it, after a while, the left of the screen doesn't respond, or, when I click on it, it's another part of the screen that answers! I flashed the bios already: nothing changed.
@Gerd
Did you try Remote Screen Alignment?
Sonny
wow, that tool is awesome. My digitizer is cracked.

This is for HTC Wizard, but it should work.

Am I the only one who hits the power button with the keyboard extended?

I've searched but I can't find any one else complaing of this problem and it's driving me nuts.
When I extend the hardware keyboard to type, my finger often rests on the power button turning the screen off. Does anybody else face this problem? Is there a registry hack to disable the power button with the keyboard is extended?
Thanks
jejeje
Same problem!!!! so frustating!!!
No you are not the only one; I also have this problem; when writing message I touch the power button accidentally a lot and the only solution I could come to was to be more delicate and careful when writing
Regards,
Yep, same problem here! A really silly thing to miss - there's not particular reason to not have the power button on the right at the top rather than the left.
all the time....
very frustrating,
..then I try to open it, wait a fraction of a second, click it again for fear of not having pushed it enough the first time, ... and I end with the sleep mode on the phone , .. so I click it firmly for a third time finally opening it..
timewaste...
same here

Happens to a lot of people. Don't know how you search but:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=535229
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=520834
same here
me too
Add me to the list.
Which makes me wonder, why didn't they place the power on the top right?
Well at least I know I'm not the only one. Still hoping someone smarter than I will find a way to disable it with keyboard extended
@vdKarel I would have found those post had I spelt button with two t's (#)
I wasnt having that problem until today actually. lol. funny you bring it up. After discovering this, i did find it a little inconvenient where the power button is placed
happens some times. probably the power button would be better in an other place
I do it all the time as well
I use it a lot (pages and pages of word documents written on it in the train) and it doesn't happen...
When I hold mine with keyboard extended, my left index (which is the one which could hit the power button) is folded, so it hits the left side of the keyboard "block" (no power button here) then goes under the screen "block" and holds the back of the keyboard "block", it doesn't press the left side of the screen "block" (which has the power button).
Do you guys have your left index extended for it to be along the left of both the keyboard "block" and the screen "block" ? I don't see how else you could be hitting the power button...
PS : On my TyTN, this allowed me to turn the PPC on and off with the left index tip with the keyboard out, this avoided waiting for the screen to rotate when I knew I'd wand it in landscape when I trun back on.
This only happens to me after ALMOST completing a 900 word e-mail . . .
You're not alone, and there are fixes for this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=553784
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=563592
For the Tilt 2, this doesn't happen. I don't know if it's because of WM 6.5 or something AT&T implemented or what, but the power button has no effect when the keyboard is out. I actually want to find a way to enable that because at times I want to put it in sleep mode while open.
Why do you have your fingers extended?? I never have this problem in my TP2!

um.. to hold it securely?
ummm, not to sound like a smart a$$ but this has been covered n many threads previously...i believe that if u search for "disable power button" ull find ur answer...its a simple .cab installation that disables the power button when the keyboard is extended...hope that helps and good luck

Rebinding sms/email keyboard keys?

Anyone know if its possible to rebind the sms/email keyboard keys somehow?
As an ssh user, I miss the control and tab keys on my touch pro. I'd rather rebind these 2 useless keys into something far more practical.....
Thanks!
Yeah I really want an Escape key for the same reason.
What SSH client are you using? Putty? My Func key is weird in Putty, when pressed it stays on even after another key is hit, and you have to press it three times in succession to turn it off.
token2shell, it's the best one i've ever found for wm.
http://choung.net/Token2Shell/Mobile/
Just tried editing the eT9.Rhodium.0410.kmap.txt files in \windows but no luck, changes didn't seem to take effect even after a soft reset. Tried modifying all the files as well as updating the registry.
Found the info here:

You're right, it's way better than Putty. Thanks very much!
Incidentally I tried the remapping with AEBplus but couldn't get it to work.

[Q] Replace/clean hardware keypad

Hi guys,
Few of the buttons on the hardware keyboard are not responding properly. Some require a hard press, some tend to write the character more than once when pressed. I suspect its dust disturbing the button press. I tried cleaning it by dis-assembling the phone, only to find that the keypad is just glued to the body from the outside (yes glued). Couldn't find any screws that i could remove to get the keypad out.
can you help me with this?
Thanks.
didi you manage to solve your issue? I'm having the same problem
I've had this problem as well, with certain keys showing up more then once when pressed.
Your best bet would be to downgrade and send your device into htc for repair.
