[MOD] SRS Audio Effects (Only android 4.0) - Fixed TrueBASS Distortion

For All NXT 2011/2012
Hi guys, Here is the almost real SRS Audio Effects by BPaul.
I did some fixes and port to our NXT devices. (Working on ALL Xperias and even other phones)
I also fixed TrueBASS distortion which everyone found in BPaul's initial release.
Importants
In some roms, sound enhancement will not work, clearbass may be missing, eq changed, other effect not available.
Using WALKMAN player, EQ Preset don't work. SRS Panel will not take effect immediately, you have to restart WALKMAN to take effect.
Using Google Play Music, no such problem. *Perfect*
Requirements
1) Android 4.0.1 or Higher, On 2.3 won't work, don't try!
2) Remove apps to avoid conflicts
-- 1. Remove /system/app/MusicFX.apk (SRS Panel has the same package name and will replace this)
-- 2. Remove /system/app/DSPManager.apk (If you have here)
For advanced users (If you modify audio_effect.conf)
1) Remove hearing protection lines (just libraries section)
2) Remove bundle lines (just libraries section)
For Normal users
1) Just flash or use all the files in the zip
Flashing other audio mods will replace this audio_effect.conf, so dont flash other audio mods.
Instructions
1) Flash srs_mod_for_nxt.zip in CWM (If flashing fail, extract to system manually)
2) Settings>Sound>Music Effects>SRS Panel
Do not install other sound mods after this, you will lose your SRS.

- SRS WOW
- SRS TrueBass (Fixed original BPaul's distortion)
- EQ Presets and 1 User slot
- SRS Panel (Patched MusicFX)

I'd prefer V4X(For the loudness) + AC!D(For the Bass and Treble Quality) Sound Mod.... Crystal clear,Super Bass,yeah right.......

Both are good, srs effect can't settings much but very good.
V4a settings alot, if u know how to play with them, u can get better effects than srs.

There shouldn't be MusicFX app installed.
Its now SRS Panel.
Did u read instructions?

I dont promise this SRS will be the best, its the same as SRS from old times, i just make it happen on our device.
Downloads updated
Fixed something in audioeffect.conf
Those who were already using it now, re-download and flash and overwrite previous srs.

Yes, u hit the point. About fix.
Its possible, i know how but i cant make it happen.

If you are very scared that anything goes wrong, you need to backup your rom. Normally it doesnot require a backup..Like I said in my first post it works on any device and any rom..Have a great sound..

My choice would be definitely pure X and you will definitely need it in every rom you install once if u get it installed on your device...

What problem did u encounter? Don't Just say "Its Not Working". Post you problem and get help.

I guess it's not working for me? I didn't feel different after flashing this mod. Bass effect wasn't noticeable strong. I'm using light force rom with latest version of Beoffla beta kernel(without any tweaks in the Beoffla sound setting menu).

I guess boeffla could be the only exception to this mod. Coz it's not that much easier to replace boeffla tweaks that comes along with kernel I guess!!!!

Hey man, It can cause conflicts if installed over other Audio Tweax or MODS...For More Info,Read The OP..

Cm10.1 uses dsp manager and i think it conflicts with this mod
When i go under music fx, it show nothing,like a dead button
Should we freeze dsp manager before to install this mod?
Also dsp manager sometimes crashes..

No, I don't think this mod clashes due to dsp manager. Because it replaces default audiofiles of any ROM except for those having audio tweax that come along with kernel like boeffla and other modded audio libs. Anyways, Delete or freeze mods like dsp manager etc and related files inorder to make sure safe working of the sound components.

Installed in my S III and here is my observation: The mod will not only remove n7 music player's SRS feature but also overrides its equalizer settings. the deep bass in my n7 music player is now gone.

Your HtcMusic.apk doesn't work for Sense 3.5 some buttons are missing, etc.
But thanks for the Beats icon, I've modded my HtcMusic.apk with it and it looks wonderful! With Beats lockscreen it looks like a real Beats phone

If its still distorting, it means
1. You didnt install the MOD properly
2. You didnt configure the settings in the DSP Manager properly
3. The pair of Headphones/Earphones you use are not able to reproduce proper sound.
Coz this MOD has been tried on my phone with the settings i mentioned with XB 21EX, XB 30EX, MDR XB400,and my friend's NWZ-WH505, Sennheiser CX 275s, Skullcandy Ink'd. And it worked fine on ALL of them.

Yeah, Viper is good too. But a lot of advanced settings that many might not understand. Plus, it has a slightly higher battery drain.

The speed is got by an app called Internet speed meter, available on Playstore for free. The paid version gives you more features.
The system UI is got by using Rizal Lovins Xperia theme for CM11.

I used Internet Speed Meter from Play Store for indication, The theme is a Xperia CM11 theme by Rizal Lovins..
BTW, better you use Xposed network speed indicator, as this app always runs in the notification bar to keep from being killed.
