Copied from the N4 thread:
I just ordered this and hopefully it will work on our GN4:
http://www.ahappydeal.com/product-137289.html
If anyone have any experienced with it, please post your short review here.
TIA
Update:
I had this charger for less than a week now and all I can say it.....WOW and I will order 1 more for a car-mod.
It does require 5V 2A power inverter and it also charges my new G7 (2013)
Even my N4 has a thick casing, it was no problem with this charger compared to other Qi chargers. Placement is also not pinicky.
anyone have anything to add here? why shouldn't I buy this?

Yeah, I just bought a Nokia DT-900 from ebay for $24.99. It's a little more, but I trust Nokia over this brand over the long run.
It looks like I got the last one. The other ebay prices are a bit higher starting at around the mid 30 dollar range.
UPDATE: Just checked and it seem AT&T has the Nokia for $36.75 and free shipping ($49.99 at verizon and Amazon).

FYI - The Nokia DT-910 works with the N7 as well, only landscape though.

^^^ This. I ordered the samsung one for 24.99 and it came in yesterday. I'm quite happy with it. Its not huge but its not small either. Hard to miss the sweet spot when putting my N7 on it. Also, its a known brand. My old N7 charger has a 2amp out put so I use that power brick with it and it works flawlessly so far.
I want one that holds the N7 at an angle so you can set up daydream.
Just ordered a MWT03S from the website in the OP. Will report back when it arrives and I have tested
For those of you also interested in ordering, the "S" at the end of the model name means that it has that slick aluminum bezel around the rim. For $2 more, I think it is a great investment

This may be your best option at the moment. Though I read that it only works for charging in horizontal mode (or is it the other way around?).
But for $70, I'd consider one of the cheaper options and bills some kind of a stand myself that I can build out attach the qI charger to.
I don't want to spend a lot of cash on a QI charger especially since we don't yet know who standard is going to win in the end (QI or PAM, other? ).
Just ordered the DT-900, thanks for the heads up!

This one also comes with the 5V 2A adapter, making it the better deal if you don't already have one.
I grabbed the Nokia charger from Dailysteals, but it sucks. It barely charges my Nexus 4 if I keep its clear case on (30% overnight), and it doesn't charge my Nexus 7, even in landscape.

Just a heads up, I received the charger mentioned in this post, the 21$ from appydeal.. its total garbage, buy a hockey puck, place your device on it and pray. Will be just about as effective.
It does charge wirelessly but using it the nexus 7 is virtually impossible, you have find the exact spot to place their small puck to charge it.. and even then it charges at a rate of like 5 points per hour. its barely enough to keep at the same battery level with the screen on.
I also have the nexus 4, even with that device being so much smaller i still have to place ti down and shift it around to the exact spot to induce charging..
TLDR: trash, save your money, my guess is the OP works for the site in some way

While looking for a desk dock I found this one from Samsung:
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/galaxy-tab-accessories/EDD-D100BEGXAR-gallery
Looks like it does come with a separate power adapter, which is nice. Amazon doesn't sell that one yet though.
I was thinking about getting this stand instead:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CKVOOY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
Should be compatible with Note 10.1 I take it. $10 is hard to pass up on too.
Do you guys like powered desk docks or stands better? Thanks.
The EDD-D100 does not come with a new power adapter. You have to use the power adapter and cable that came with the Note 10.1. The EDD-D100 package contains only the dock itself.
The dock should be widely available as it was sold for the older Tabs already.
Thanks for clarifying that. Odd, can't seem to find it on Amazon.
Yes, that's strange. Amazon.de (Germany) has it, Amazon.com not.
I have the Arkon and it works great for the Note and my Nexus 7.

Viewsonic G Tablet
Galaxy Tab 10.1

Been using Arkon for a couple of days now. Sticky padding that tab rests on started peeling off. Probably gonna send it back.
Also got Samsung's dock but haven't opened it yet. Just thinking it might not be convenient using it as a main dock due to that connector. So, I think I'll keep looking.

Bump. I too am interested in this. Or even any good QI charger with NFC that will elevate my Nexus 5 up a little bit so I'm able to view the screen from a small distance. I've never used the Tylt Vu so I can't be positive, but it doesn't look like it angles the phone enough. It's also quite expensive without a promo code or something. I was really looking forward to the Synergy Home & Vehicle Wireless Charger despite its slightly ugly base but it looks like it didn't work out with the company. You can still "pre-order" it on Amazon as well.

Doing this with the TYLT right now. You're right, the angle isn't as steep as it could be, but I've had no problems seeing the clock. I'm really happy with this setup.
But yeah, don't buy it unless it's on sale... $70 is ridiculous.

This one has larger speakers, and is apparently more bass heavy. Dunno very much about the one you posted, but I know they both have adjustable micro USB plugs that can be oriented to work with the Nexus 5's "backward" USB port, which is what made me get one in the first place.

Nah I got the design and have access to a few different 3d printers in class. Post your results of what you get when it's done!

Found a guy on Reddit who has access to a printer in his lab. Working on details to get one printed! Will post back once it's all done and received.
That looks great!
I'm also curious if anyone's created a version like this for the car.
I just got my Nexus Wireless Charger recently and have been looking at different options on how to mount it to my car dashboard without doing any permanent modifications. This printed dock/stand looks like the right idea.
I got a quote for this thing this morning and they want $300 to print it because it's a solid model rather than shelled.
Something to keep in mind before you guys get your hopes up.
Might contact the creator and see if he can edit to make it hollow?

Thanks Weston, I found a friend local who has one and I'm getting a lesson on how to use it Saturday to print my own. Once I do that, a designer friend of mine are going to sit down and refine the design to clean it up and make the stand as stable as possible
I just had one printed by a co-worker and love it. The most difficult part is getting the cable through and it cuts 6-8 inches off of the cable which is already rather short for the official nexus charger. Just keep that in mind.

Looks like iOttie is taking reservations for their Qi car mount. Spoiler alert: It's $80.
http://www.iottie.com/Product/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=1058&ProductType=321
I was hoping for a $40-50 price point. So, yeah, I'm a little disappointed.
Yeah $80 is way too high especially when you can get more "Premium" Chinese Qi Car docks for about $45. I figured the price was going to be more than we requested when the "Rep" that had the iOttie post suddenly went silent. $50 was just the high end of Purchasable range. $80 is high even if there were NO other options on the market. Heck the OwlPad sold for LESS than that much when it came out...over a year ago. So yeah makes me feel the company is trying to fleece the N5 owners.
Hey guys,
We did not go quiet on the postings - we were just advised from XDA moderators that that kind of posting is not permitted within the forums.
We do appreciate the constructive feedback with regards to our product & pricing. We will pass that information onto our management team for more detailed review.
I would buy it for around $40-50 but definitely not at $80.
80? This is why I've refused to buy the tylt vu. I have zero problem shelling out cash for accessories but that's ridiculous.

80? Probably cost 15 to make at those quantities. I'll pass, thanks.
the air dock is better than this, and it costs less at $69, but even that's still way too expensive for this kind of thing. $80 is just ridiculous.

Other than the Air Dock which was a Kickstarter but now goes for $69 now and the OwlPad which has been out for OVER a year which sells for $57. There are others on Amazon and Aliexpress from $35-50 depending on quality. $80 for a plain old QI charger is just over priced. For $69 at least the Airdock has the Magnets for the N5 included in the design.
One thing to consider with a wireless charger dock for the car is how much flexibility in positioning it offers, cause most of the time, you'll probably need to put it where it can get some direct air conditioning. This Easy Flex Wireless, if it's like the Easy Flex 3, can be rotated 360° and put the phone hanging in front of the vents of my car.
Does anyone know if this will work with case on. I would get it but I wanna know if can have a case on my nexus and it will still work. If you know the answer please let me know. Thanks

It does, like any other Qi charger. IIRC Qi can do something like half an inch distance. In any case, it should be fine for any cases that are not battery cases or metal ones.
Not bad, but bouncy....
I pre-prdered this dock using the Facebook coupon, and it arrived over the weekend. I tried it out in the hopes that it would not exhibit the bounciness that the other wireless charging dock I ordered had.
I used my phone, both with and without it's TPU case (my phone is an LG G2) in this dock and on all but the smoothest of roads (I live in Michigan, so "smooth road" is almost an oxymoron) the bounce is very noticeable. There is just too much flex in the arm of the dock.
I have written to them via their facebook page in hopes that I receive a reply and hopefully a solution.
The pricing is now $69.95 on amazon

As long as you have the adapter you're good I suppose.
Don't buy the magnector. It doesn't fit flush into the charging port on the z3. U had to return mine and buy something off of eBay.

90% of what can be purchased on eBay doesn't charge at full speed and has an inferior magnet. I'd simply modify the adapter with a sharp knife or scalpel if if doesn't fit perfectly.
You can try but the thing that doesn't fit is the metal plate between the two charge connectors and I doubt you are going to be able to modify that. Someone posted a link to an official sony magnetic cable in another thread.

It "Fits" as far as the port snapping into place and charging. However, that's only the metal part, there's also the plastic from the charger that doesn't sit flush against the phone. This allows it to roll up and down and is very weak against this direction of force. So even when just picking up my phone, it slightly disconnects just enough that it stays on, but stops charging until re-seated. These are far from perfect, just acceptable...

Its a magenet, it charges my phone, is only a issue if I am trying to use it while it is charging which I don't. Works well. Personally planning to use a phone with a magnet stuck to the side isn't something I would expect to work perfectly as it is in the middle of the side of the phone and I would want to hold said phone.
you get similar adapter from ebay (chinese seller) for about 2$.
how can you pay 15$ for such a thing?! ....

Link please.
And what you're saying is the easy route... People might also say why pay 500$ for a phone when you can get one with almost the same specs for half a price.
You can really say that about almost everything.

But I am not talking about "almost the same specs" but "exactly the same specs".

One End is Micro USB, the other one is the magnetic charger.
Except these cheap adapters usually charge too slow to be useful. I have a pile of different ones lying around here and just one in ten works fine. The Magnector is actually reliable.
