I don't know other Xperias but mine is showing a weird behavior when displaying grey colors. When display is showing gray colors it somehow show "little waves" horizontally across the screen and they appear to move horizontally too, it seems to be like a flicker problem... I don't know if my xperia s has a display hardware problem or this happens on every xperia s phones.
Please post your feedback
I have the same thing... Flickering when i go to Battery diagram, on the gray bacground. I think that is normal, or maybe not...
A friend just bought an Xperia S and also noted the flickering on grey colors, it seems to be normal on this phones

ok, for some reason when I have my keyboard open, the color of my screen is normal. but when I close the keyboard (switching to full touch), the color goes back to normal.
now, when I say the color changes, I really mean the contrast. A yellowish tint appears on my phone
my Epic just started doing this. would anyone know why it's doing this? and is there a fix for it?

you probably need to proof read your post but i would say that if the color is changing at all and has a tint on it.. maybe the ribbon or whatever connection connects to the screen is loose and changes when you adjust the keyboard--likely has to be fixed at the repair shop.
unless you downloaded some sort of weird app... but i dont think so
well, I did break one of my sliders stoppers, but I don't think that has anything to do with it
blah! I'm about to go get the GS2
I have a question... when i open setting-display&gestures-brightness then the brightness window popup, the background become grey.. i slide the brightness panel tu highest and when i see the grey background, i see some kind of shaking grey when i put the device close to my eye under room light.. when i see from distance or in dark room, i cant see the shaking background... is it normal because i see it too close to my eye/under room light or is it some kind of backlight flickering issue?
hmm.... tried the seachbutton? This for example http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1592157 and this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1597448
Had the same problem with my One X, have sent it back for replacement. Phoned HTC and they said it was faulty and should not do that.
search the forums! there is one major thread about this
Found Soloution contact me for help
fixed one today.
I recently created a topic about my hox because it sometimes shuts down and it has problems with the battery, i'm going to send it to repair, but before i'd like to know if i'm the only one having this problem:
during the transitions between the pages of the home screen i can see, in the case of the black textured background, some strange shades of yellowish color (really hardly visible), while with the black and white htc background the issue is really annoing, i can see the screen "blinking" in some areas, i don't know how to describe it, a sort of soft color flickering wich creates a strange effect. With other backgrounds there are no problems... should i report this problem too or is it a sense common problem? thank you...
Hello,
I have found similar threads, but nothing seems to fit for my problem. If there is a thread for this topic, I hope the admins can move this to it.
I bought my Tab S 8.4 two days ago and was very happy with it (except the Play Store error DF BPA-30, which disappeared by now). The problem appears when I use the tab in the dark, after the second night I finally found out why: When the brightness goes below ~15 percent (automatically or manually) the display gets a dark-greenish tone. Full black and other strong colours don't seem to be affected.
A good example is a game I am playing: The red/blue/violet "nebula" turns into a dark green mass as well as the row at the top of the left. When I move around, the green mass "wobbles" too.

Is this normal?
Thanks for your advice!

I don't know if it's normal but I got the same thing. Since I keep my brightness low due to my sensitive eyes, I see it all the time. I have a 10.5 btw.
I haven't posted about it because I figure I may be more sensitive than other people.
Try this: if you have an LCD tablet or phone, place it next to the S on a table in a room with light. Turn OFF both screens. Move around so you are looking at them from different angles. With mine , about 45 degrees off axis, the S screen is clearly tinted a deep green (or if you prefer, the light reflected from the screen is green.) The other screen is black.
Same problem here too...

In my Tab S 8.4, the problem starts only when i shut down or restart the tab... On starting, the Samsung logo doesn't appear on welcome screen and then the display shows a homogeneous greenish hue, more identifiable in low brightness and auto brightness activated devices.. After a few restarts or shutting down the device for 5-6hrs, the display becomes normal on restarting... Interestingly, if you take a screenshot of the greenish display, the picture is perfectly normal when viewed in a normal device or laptop, thus making me believe it to be a display problem, most probably a manufacturing problem...
Hello,
I have one issue with this mobile. Every time I am scrolling black text on white background or white text on black background I see green ghost or green auras around the text. It’s quite annoying. Its help when I change color temperature to more red, pink or blue, but it’s not very satisfactorily solution. So, my question is: Is that normal for that kind of display or something goes wrong? Could next update of firmware help?
Thanks for any answers and sorry for my English.
I do not see this behaviour on my phone... could it be a HW issue? Or something to do with the display resolution settings? I have left all display settings at their defaults.
My problem with display was solved by new update B130, but I have one more but smaller - I think that my touchscreen is not that sensitive it should be. Sometimes there no response on tap.

Looks like a hardware issue. Your phone must be still under warranty so you can take advantage of that.
