I flashed PAC Rom which has built in Halo, I added apps to it, I fiddled around with settings in System, but no use. Please help!
I'm not even on the ROM but I can tell you that it either has to be activated (switched on) or your not doing it right?
Dont use cm10/aosp

Is it possible to add the paranoidsetting.apk to any aosp rom? I am running CM10 alpha2, and was wondering if it would work if i put it in the system folder and rebooted or if the ROM needed to be a PA ROM.
Thanks in advance
I doupt it since it modifies system files. You could give it a shot tho. Just Push it under system apps set permissions and voila

I'm pretty sure it won't work. I don't think CM has the framework to support it

Rom devs must incorporate aroma into the rom zips for you to use it. It's not something that you can use to install any zip.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda premium
Usually devs will put on the title of their thread that the ROM uses Aroma. I know there are a couple ROMs in the Dev thread that use it. I personally hate using it and I think just bloats a ROM zip.. but hey that's my opinion.
Thanks guys for your feedback I as appreciate it a bunch.:thumbup:

I'm just wondering how can you hate it when you have the control on what or not to install in the rom?

I can do that with a regular plain old zipped ROM also. It's called My Apps in the Play Store

I don't like it either because a lot of people don't use it properly and when you flash it, stuff gets screwed up. An example is the Wicked rom. It installs about 3 extra audio managing apps no matter which one you select.

Volume up/down (can't remember which one, pretty sure it is down) and power button since this is AOSP. And I think you mean you know there is no swipe motion.
Sorry, I just had to read that sentence 3 times to understand what you put.

Halo notification went open source. Does anyone know if we would be able to add this to a non rooted note2?

Well basically it needs to be built into a ROM that is being built from source.
So no, not at the moment.

Exactly. The only 4.2 ROMs are AOSP right now. So you get the lockscreen widgets, but lose multi window and wifi calling

Ok thanks so my last question is if I do find a rom I like it's there a way to switch between my stock touchwiz and a rom with 4.2 without always having to restart my phone and doing factory reset everytime?

Just wanna want say dual boot is nice. Weird thing is when I put any aosp ROM on the second ROM, I always get a huge CPU usage. Switching the rom to primary, I do not get that problem.
