Have now gone from Illusion Rom to LiquidSmooth and now to SlimBean in the hope of working 4G and GPS, which SlimBean listed as working, but neither 4G or GPS is working on my device. Reverted back to NoWizAOSPMod Rom after and still didn't have working 4G or GPS, and I'm hoping I don't have to flash back to stock with ODIN. Any idea where I should start?

Wifi does not toggle on anymore. I need advice on how to get it working again. Advice doesn't have to be specific to the ROMs below - I can switch to whichever ROM will make the wifi on. Thank you very much!
What I did:
I was on JellyBam 9.2
Tried to get to Jellybam 10.0 and 10.1 . As per the jellybam instructions, before flashing 10.0 or 10.1 jellybam, I did factory reset, then erased /system, flashed the 10.2 CM.
For achieving this I tried various recovery images -> CWM recovery 6.0.3.1, then philz touch 5.11.2 (6.0.3.7), then CWM touch recovery 6.0.3.6.
In the middle of all this, I lost the ability to toggle wifi ON.
I'd like advice on how to get back the ability to toggle Wifi.
Am on Android_Revolution_HD-Note2_17.0 (4.1.2) but still no love with the wifi
Solved it....
It had Android_Revolution_HD-Note2_17.0
flashed recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.3.6-n7100.tar.md5
flashed cm-10.2-20130829-NIGHTLY-n7100
let the battery die overnight
charge and boot from cold
wifi was now working
no idea why this worked
flashed jellybam-v10.1.0_n7100
wifi is still working
In the future I would post in the forum for your device. From what I read in your post you have an n7100. Thats the international version. Gsm version. We have the l900 which is a sprint cdma version. Flashing roms or modems from here may brick your device. Please be careful.
sent from my Provari with a mini rda!
Hi all,
Just got my Note 2, and flashed 10.2 without noticing the known issue with the new opensource GPS. I read the fix in this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39761558&postcount=702
I have 2 questions:
First, I'm coming from the Sprint Epic 4G Touch (SGS II variant), where there were issues when flashing new ROMs where we had to flash back to a "safe" kernel. Just wanted to confirm that there are no such issues with this phone, e.g. I can flash directly from my current CM 10.2 installation, back to a stock ROM, and then directly back to CM 10.2 (just wiping data and cache in between each flash) without any additional steps.
Second, does anyone know if I can take the shortcut of making a nandroid of my CM setup now, flashing the stock ROM, getting a GPS lock, then doing a clean install of CM, then restoring the nandroid? Will the GPS fix survive the nandroid restore? I took all day setting up my new phone yesterday just the way I like it, and I'd rather not have to go through it again.
Thanks in advance everyone!
There's no sgii like issues. You can flash a tw rom then revert back to 4.3 without issue. I found you need to have a gps lock with Google maps to get it to work in 4.3 when you flash back
Hi, all..
At first before updating to cyanogenmod, my stock ROM can connect to WIFI. After rooting, it's still working.
After installing KITKAT CM11, my WIFI cannot find any network, I downgraded to JB CM10.1, still the same. What's the problem?
my wifi work very well on cm11
Hello, I just installed 4.4.4 liquid, and everything is great. One small issue, I cannot switch between 4G and 3G radios at all. Running on VZW Gnex with above build, same kernel, rooted, CWM touch 6.x (notsure), FK01/02 radios.
I dont' know what Rom i was coming from, but it was some version of 4.2.x AKOP. The handoff worked well there. This install i did a factory reset, and wiped dalvik. Suggestions?
PS> I can restart and whatever radio i had on at the time will work. I just can't swich off that radio without it failing.
PPS> I also read Wishka233's post about this issue from 2013, with no responses.
Hello,
My Note 2 was stock, and I decided to root it because I was having issues with the screen turning on and wifi sometimes not connecting. I used Odin to flash TWRP, installed a number of ROMs including Cyanogen and Liquidsmooth (currently on Liquidsmooth 3.2), and everything works fine now except that Wifi won't turn on.
I read that Kit Kat has caused wifi issues for some people, so I even downgraded to Jelly Bean (CM 10.2), but that did not seem to help. Does anyone know of any fixes for this or alternatively, any Lollipop ROMs that wouldn't have this problem?
[One thing I just noticed when I was double checking that I was on 4.4.4 was that the "About" menu shows my model number as GT-N7105 even though I downloaded the ROM for the SGH-t889. If that means I installed the wrong ROM, I can restore my backup of my stock ROM and start again if needed]
Thanks in advance.
Solved!
Just wanted to post that I figured out that if I install Liquidsmooth alone first, without adding google apps, the wifi worked. In fact, I may have just been stupid to install google apps since it appears that Liquidsmooth already had google apps...
But in any case, the wifi stopped working after I rebooted, so I installed Jedi ROM from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-2-tmobile/development/rom-jedi-source-project-4-4-4-t2895948, booted up, then went to recovery and installed the google apps for Jedi from the same link, and everything has been working great since then.
Hope this info is helpful.
