This is a VrTheme Zip that I put together to remove Google grey/gradient...it also includes a few pieces of Candy.

Anything is possible....lol this is Def a work in progress...and very tedious. But I'll look into trans status bar next....hopefully a custom rom drops soon with this stuff baked in...

Thanks for doing this - it fixed my problem.
I used Zip Themer the other day and then used the APM mod.
The APM mod reset the lockscreen to the original icon.
So I reflashed my zip theme and it broke the APM mod... (nexus would reboot when I hit the power button.)
I did have to re-create my lockscreen with zip themer before it worked. (the old version just broke APM again)
Hope that made sense.. Thanks

Yup makes 100% sense....here's the fix
Apply Dark candy mod then make a new zip themer update zip after this mod is applied boot into recovery and flash new update ZT zip and will be all good. So basically start clean ...
Flash Dark Candy mod then build up from there with fresh Zip themer zip MADE after mod was installed....IF U FLASH A OLD UPDATE ZIP IT WILL NOT WORK RIGHT. MAKE A NEW ONE AFTER U FLASH THIS MOD....Hope that helps.

I installed the dark menu, and lost my soft keys, and lock ring. Re-installed said soft keys, and lost my dark menu.

No worries ...lol the trick is to make the ZIP THEMER zips after u HAVE installed Dark Candy. ..
So flash DARK CANDY
Then use ZIP THEMER TO make a whole new update zip for Lockring and Softkeys and it will work fine...AS U CAN SEE FROM PICS U CAN HAVE ALL THREE IF INSTALLED CORRECTLY

Edit...another way of explaining is use the Dark candy zip as a starting mod point and mod from there.
If u use old update zips from Zip themer that were made b4 dark mod wad flashed it will break DARK mod and

They are my pet hate in any theme on any device. I think it it sums up just how lazy google are when designing a GUI.

I get the wallpaper and many things like statusbar themed but no luck with any of the app icons. i tried by clearing dalvik and cache and also by restoring thru theme restore package but no success.
On checkrevo 3.1.1 with speedmod kernel.

So sorry, i understand now. what i meant was that after applying the zip i got a new lockscreen wallpaper, new battery icon etc, and the icons u hav shown in the picture. what i thought was that my app icons would also get changed.

I've just downloaded the zip, extracted it and had a look inside.
It would appear that when I've dragged and dropped the drawable-hdpi folders across, the framework res folder didn't take....bugger.
I'll sort it out when I get home in a few hours.

This is a theme I put together for Darkside Evolution called Touch0Color, it is a work in progress and would love some imput and help if anyone is interested in themeing it with me. Very nice indeed. I've been running the stock ICS theme for a while now, and it's really starting to irk me. It's really so blah now as there is no real distinction or colors. Sort of like a plain black and white TV to me now. This brings a lot of color and flavor. Thank you.

If you're going to be updating, New "menu icons" (your own or like phone candy) would be cool.
One mild "issue" - though I love the blue glass buttons, the black type (on the buttons) is hard to read

Get stable first!
Just a heads up to anyone trying this mod....
Ensure you have a working booting phone before you apply this mod.
I jsut did a fresh clear of my phone.. factory reset, erase cache, installed Darkside, then installed this mod before booting... no statusbar.... Had to start over.
Something to consider
Just flashed this theme and all I can say is wow! you have put some serious time into this bad boy. My phone looks off the hook awesome!

I am quite new to modding/theming (so go easy) but I have managed to put together a few mods and thought i would share. The install script was given to me by lichti & kufikugel so all credit goes to them for the install method, Most of my work includes other peoples images/scripts etc, all I am worthy of any credit for is the list below.
edited all .9.png's (trancparency etc)
resized & recoloured some Icons
edited some xml's ie. Battery percentage, lockscreen text colour etc
full red theme
full darkblue theme
other minor bits and bobs
and of course I put them all in the right places (I hope)
My mods will be in two sections.
section one will be named "base-mods" as these will be rom & rom-version specific and named after the relevant rom and version.
You will only be able to install these mods first (before any other mods) as they will install any chosen mods by installing a new framework-res.apk, SystemUI.apk, settings.apk or any combo of these apk's.
section two will be named "any-mods" as these will be able to be flashed on top of any other mods without erasing previous mods(these only swap things like images etc).
Always perform a backup before flashing any mods and install at your own risk. (ok that's my ass covered )
I will take requests but please be patient as things take me a little time. If you notice anything missing or wrong with any of my mods then please let me know and I will try to fix asap.
if any apps fc after install wipe cache & data for that app in settings/apps

2/ reboot into recovery (or use cwmr app)
3/ flash which ever base-mod you want (this must be flashed before any other mods)

6/ flash all your any-mods in any order one after the other
7/ reboot rom
8/ ENJOY

I love that someone is taking the time to tweak rasbean. Could you do these mods in a red color? That would be fantastic.
Also not sure if this would be something you could do, or if it's something that would have to be implemented to the rom itself, but I would love to be able to change the nav keys. Such as getting rid of the recent apps button and adding a permanent menu and search button instead. Thank you for all your hard work!

Yup confirmed working for me on odexed.... I posted a zip to edify with on stock odexed.... in lockring thread I'll move it over here also.
Make sure ur installing correctly. Watch the video and read installation process. And it should be all good. I would say use flashable but it will break DARK CANDY AND APM ...gotta use ZT to have both ....

It's the ZIP to edify with...the first step is to update edify .. choose that zip should say success when done ...then hit back and then +theme choose mod zip then build ... If u want to do two or three mods at once...lockring and softkeyz hit + theme again then choose another mod zip.... Then build

Is there a flashable zip back to stock?
I like them but on my home screen there's too much "Black area" where the keys are. The area of black reduces within apps but on the home screen it's larger than it should be.

No its actually tinted status bar.
But do as you wish.
Translucent status bar is way different from tinted.

i saw all of ur comments ,
the app i use is Tinted Status Bar , it is very well usable and functional
it is available in Xposed Repo
U must enable the module for it to work
if u dont see it working for few apps , u have to manually add values,
it might look kinda weird n tiring job
but it is very much worth it !!

Firstly nice job! but the theme kill the battery. I check the battery usage and org.cyanogenmod.theme.chooser use %44 of battery

i just checked mine , it doesnt do so , maybe it is a problem with ur rom ?
