I've done a ton of searches and come up mostly empty.
I'm looking for a notification widget to put on my lockscreen/homescreen. I'd like for it to display all of my notifications and I REALLY want to be able to change the widget's font.
NiLS Notifications Lock Screen is fantastic and has everything I'm looking for, but it doesn't let me change the font and I'm trying to make a really nerdy homescreen and I'd like all of the fonts to be the same. I feel like I could potentially make this work through zooper widget and tasker, but I think tasker is above my skill level. I tried using a font changer to change all of my font to the font I like for the homescreen but it's a really wide font and it's all caps, so everything else looks like a nightmare.
Here are a few screencaps of my current set up. I intend to pin the notifications to the bottom so they'll remain when I slide up to the other homescreen (with the weather/calendar/toggles).

Still a work in progress, for sure, but the notifications are the only thing that are really bugging me for the moment, as I want to have the status bar out of there, but I still want to see notifications.

If you spend a bit of time tinkering with UCCW (universal custom widget), you can build anything you want. Here is a thread where you can find many others have built. Maybe you can use them as a base for what you want.

This was my first idea for a theme. Which I'm making, in most part, for my girlfriend who I like to call Peach. The idea came from a signature picture I made years ago for her for a forum and I thought it would be a pleasant surprise to bring it back in the theme. I used that very siggy as the wallpaper and most of the colors picked out using the eye dropper.
This is very much so a work in progress. I'm looking for opinions and feedback. It's my first theme. The wallpaper I will need to change. The siggy was alot smaller than I remembered and I had to stretch it to fit. May recreate it. The clock and the tab at the bottom are not of my own work. They are from the Glossy Minimalism theme. (the theme I currently use.) I used its update.zip when I was figuring out where things were and creating. I do plan to change them both.
Edit: Peches is now ready for download but still incomplete as far as I'm concerned. I cant figure out why I cant get the notification bar (during/after pull down) to change colors. Clock still needs to be changed as well as menu tab. I also have plans to change the notifications, Edge and 3G, Battery and Signal icons. Enjoy and please give me feed back. If you think I should include anything let me know.

good start sir. something i would use. not too sure about font, but still worth using. wish there was an icon pack for apps commonly downloaded like chomp and my backup to match the rest of the stock apps.
I've been meaning to change my font for a while. Thanks for the reminder.
Looks good I like the story behind it.
The left side of the notification bar blinds me. Maybe instead of a white > peach gradient use a lighter peach to a darker peach? I just can't look at the status bars left side. The icons are nice and simple. Don't really have much else to say.

I'm feeling that theme good job..
when is it available for download?
Availablity?
Its still very much unfinished. So far I've made very few changes and the icons shown are the only ones I've done so far. I should have the rest of the stock app icons done by tonight along with a few other things. I'll make it available by tomorrow at the latest but again, its still unfinished as far as I'm concerened.
Btw, she loves it ^ ^
Dude, the font rawks.
Hi,
Puzzled with how and if one can add a widget to this bottom "tray" (is it called Rosie?)
So far, I understand that we have an opportunity to add an app or a shortcut to this tray. No widgets, however.
None of the widgets that I have installed would fit the empty space on the tray. Sense just doesn't allow me to draw a widget and leaves it on Home Screen.
I will explain why I need this opportunity.
There's a nice email proggy, Aquamail (please don't consider this post to be an ad whatsoever), whose widget (with the overlay showing the number of unread items) I would like to have in the tray and on the lock screen, as a result.
But the author says HTC doesn't offer any API for Sense, and it's just not possible to implement.
Please enlighten me about whether this is possible and whether you know any software that is able to place its widgets in this tray.
PS: Although the default "Mail" and "Messages" widgets placed in the tray (see the screenshot below) are actually no widgets but "apps", they still show unread items in the overlay, but it seems only HTC know how the heck to enable such apps to do this.

Thanks!
PPS: You can add a shorctut too, but a shortcut seems to be impossible to show anything in an overlay (the overlay below is just part of TC's icon, so don't get confused)
You want to add widgets to dock? Try Apex Launcher. It allows users to add 1x1 widgets in the dock. Apex Pro also has the option whereby you can choose apps like phone and mail apps(either stock or any other similar app from play store),place their icons on screen or dock and get number of unattended(unread mails, missed calls) displayed in icon's top right corner.
But placing widgets in dock in apex launcher will not display them in lockscreen. If you really want that, try any of lockscreen replacement apps like widget locker. Widget locker allows you to customize lockscreen, place widgets,icons...try it yourself
Thanks, I am of course aware of the multitude of third-party apps, but the reason to start this thread was to find out whether we do have this opportunity with the stock launcher and locker or we don't.
Guys!
Any chance to have some info from those who know for sure whether it's possible or not?
I saw this tweet from HTC today and thought that maybe there was finally a chance?
OpenSense SDK Update Available for Download
I use Nova Prime as my launcher on my Sprint Galaxy Nexus and have always wondered why there has been a lack of development on the "unread count" feature that is included with the Prime version of Nova.
I recently switched from the Tesla Unread Count apk to Missed It! 3.3.4 in hopes that Missed It would display notifications better.
Both options do just fine at showing unread texts or missed calls over the icons for my phone and messaging .apks but I wanted to try Missed It! hoping that it's ability to recognize and share notifications from any app that is able to display a notification in the status bar... would show a count over the app icon in the same way it does for calls or texts.
For example, I get Facebook notifications in my status bar, but I am looking for something that will display the same type of notification on the homescreen shortcut for Facebook on my homepage. Or Instagram notification over the Instagram icon on my homescreen.
I guess I am asking for help in finding the right way to put an app shortcut on my homescreen... and have a notification count show up on the icon of that app, plain and simple. I have a fairly simple 3 screen layout and I hide the Nova dock unless I need it. I've got a UCCW Google Now widget on a black background with a nexus logo which opens up my app drawer. I am slowly trying to minimize my homescreens and always auto-hide my status bar is the ultimate goal.... and I need help learning how to still get all the notifications I will need to see from my most used apps which is a very short list.
Missed It seems able to see notifications for any of the apps i need, but as far as i can tell it will only display them in an ugly widget format. Please suggest an alternative or suggestions(besides go develop my own app... I'm learning!) that could provide a solution to my hopeful set up.
Thank You very much in advance!
Mods, I hope this post is not breaking rules.
Please advise if it should be moved to Q&A or General.
And if I should delete and repost.

I'm not real sure if I am following you on your question. With the Telsa Plugin, it does show a count on the icon on the both the homescreen and in the app drawer. Nova with the plugin works really well.

Hello all,
I have been wondering whether what I am about to ask is even possible, but I really do hope that there is some kind of magic trick that will allow me to achieve it. I understand that it might sound foolish, but please hear me out, and any kind of help will be much appreciated.
So ever since I moved to the GSIII, I was immediately on AOKP 4.2.1, and obviously with JB 4.2.1 comes the whole newly redesigned statusbar, like the one below. Now I'm on 4.2.2, which is of course not much different than 4.2.1

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Now, I am a little unhappy with this statusbar, especially with the seperate tab for the toggles. I am probably much too used to the old design, but I feel it was simpler and faster. I know you can access the toggle section with a 2 finger down swipe, but the problem is, I hide my statusbar so I can't perform that method. Another pet peeve I have is the lack of the weather notification on the statusbar, like that in AOKP 4.1.2, shown below.
Please, is there any possible way for me to have the old style 4.1.2 AOKP statusbar, without having to revert to 4.1.2? Again, this may be a very stupid question, since I know it is an app or a modification but a part of the system itself, but anything that I can will be great. Please help. Thank you!
I'm not a dev but I think you're hooped my friend. I was originally like you and hatred it but now I have come to... Peace with it. I swipe down for notifications and up (nova launcher gesture) for toggles menu. The weather thing is an app or maybe a future addition to your favorite rom. I'm not sure if I'd switch it now if I had the choice. Hmmm
Sent from my SGSIII on Bell running Task650's AOKP
You can set a swipe shortcut so that when you swipe on the right or left side of the status bar it brings down the toggles, and when you swipe down anywhere else you get notifications.
Not sure if that helps OP, but that may help IAN1331 from using a swipe up feature of NOVA
I use Nova Launcher Prime, and I have a gesture (swipe down from anywhere not just top) to open the notifications tray. There is an option to open notification OR the new options panel. That way when you swipe down, it opens the old style one.
I think the old notification bar was better. I am shocked by the lack of my beloved, simple, and fabulous old toggle. :crying:
So I am sure this has been asked many times, I just cant seem to find it, lol.
I hate the digital square clock thing on the lock screen and from what I can tell and read there is not an easy way to change this. Nice!!
I am rooted, any suggestions on how to change this to a normal digital or analog clock? I am not sure why would there not be an option for something as SIMPLE as this?
I hear this changed in Android 12, but in 13, its a new "feature"?
The only way to change it currently is to leg l leave some kind of notification as unminimized. I know in another thread in this section someone mentioned a particular app for creating a dummy notification you can leave displaying all the time. Having a notification that displays on the lockscreen makes the lockscreen small as in screenshot below.
Now if you don't let notifications display on your lockscreen, then there's nothing you can do about it for now (until / if someone finds a way).

Thanks, will look into that. Any idea WHY this would be restricted this way, lol?
I just use the built in screen saver and have it set to the digital clock. Down side is that the screen saver only works when the phone is charging/docked.
You can try AODNotify or
Tasker can help you change the size of Android 12's AOD clock
A new Tasker project allows you to choose between the small and large clock designs on Android 12's Always-On Display.

With A12 Google removed a lot of the customization options we once had, such as setting a specific icon layout in the status bar and choosing a font style. Samsung still retains these features.
In A12 the lock screen clock is new, while in A13 there is supposedly new options being developed that will allow you to change the display format. It may also arrive in A12L.
Your best bet is to install a 3rd party AOD app to customize your lock screen or wait for a custom ROM.
