Has anyone noticed that there are certain apps that are not supported on the Note 8.0? For example DirecTV GenieGO. Is there a way around this?

Hi all, trying to weigh up an Ouya and an Android stick (MK908ii). My requirements are as follows:
Smooth playback of XBMC,
Android games (Such as Fifa 14, GTA etc)
Frequent firmware and ROMs
Android root only apps such as ad blockers etc.
I've looked through YouTube to find a video of someone using the play store to see what the app compatibility is like but i can't find anything. We already have an MK908ii android stick for the living room also I know it can do all of the above, I'm just trying to work out if the Ouya can too.

I would say if you arent specifically looking to an OUYA just get whats cheaper
I have xmodgames side loaded onto my rooted Amazon Fire TV with Asphalt 8 installed but the game will not show in the "My Games" section. I've been unable to find any information concerning this online. Is there a way for me to use the mod on my Fire TV?

Settings - Applications - Manage Applications - Asphalt 8
You might want to load up FireDTV Launcher (search for it), it's a launcher that will show you all the apps installed, not just the "official" amazon ones.
Maybe i need to be clearer. I'm not having trouble finding my apps - side loaded or not - in the FTV settings. I'm having trouble with one app, xmodgames. It should show a list of games that i have that are compatible with it. On the FTV it doesn't seem to work as it should. I'm wondering if anyone has a work around for it.

Any chance someone had similar issues, please assist.
This tv is really great and smart, screen is amazing, has guest/professional modes, loads of settings and cloning options, networking access and etc. But...
As a simple and single user now, I want to have play store, or any other way to install some certain apps. (I.e. Netflix, plex, IPTV)
This model has some preinstalled apps (i.e. YouTube news, weather, but no market/play store and settings letting to install from usb.
I can't even tell android version. Seems like GB?!
Where do I start?
