[Q] SMS receive confirmation sound and status bar - HTC One V

Hello there.
I have a simple question. I set my SMS settings so that I get a devilery report everytime I send a message. However, is there a way to remove the confirmation from status bar? I would like it to be only on the sent text box. If you know what I mean, under your message box, there is that little postcard icon with a positive check, meaning that this message have been received. However the status bar notification + sound annoys me.
Is there a way to get rid of the status bar notification + sound? I use mONEv RC9.5 FX+

Sent Text Message Indicator won't Disappear

After the Gingerbread update, my Sent Message Indicator won't disappear after I press on 'Message Sent.'
I send a Text Message.
I get a sent message icon in top tray.
I get a 'Message Sent' notification.
I press on Message Sent notification but Icon in tray is still there.
I then have to Reboot, and the Message Indicator is gone??
Funny thing is when I receive a New Message, and I get New Message Notification with the Icon, I click on the New Message notification read the text message and the icon goes away.
So >>
- Sent Message needs a reboot to make icon disappear.
- New Message icon disappears as before.
On a side note, I was getting a Voice mail Icon in top tray also, and '3 New Messages' in the notification menu every couple of hours. That seems to have dissipated today, although I did get the voice mail message once.
Any ideas??

power saver in notification bar

hey
i hard reset the hox
after the reset the power saver appeared in the notification bar ( it wasn't there after the JB OTA )
first i really don't want it there , is there a way to remove it ? ( my hox isn't rooted )
second i noticed something weird
since the power saver appeared in the notification bar
when i get an email alert i no longer see the mail preview in the notification bar
i just see one line that says i have a new mail ( like before JB update )
also if i have a missed call in the notification bar there's no call back button in the notification bar
i need to press the missed call go the dialer and call from there ( again just like before JB update )
before i reset the phone i had both mail preview and call back button below the missed call in the notification bar
what can i do to make them appear again
the notification bar update is one of my favorites in JB
and now i feel like i'm in ICS again
solution!

Hi mate,
I honestly don't know how to get rid of the energy saver in the notification bar, exept rooting your phone . I just know how to turn it off so it won't show up on the homescreen.
About the expanded notifcations (mail preview and call back in JB), when you slide down your notification bar and swipe on the notification like you do to zoom in on a picture, you will get the extended preview of your mail or the call back/text buttons!
Good luck fella! :good::laugh:

[Q] way to disable sent email notification

Is there a way to disable/remove the notification that the stock email app gives when a message is sent? It looks like this
SENT: subject. It gets displayed in the status bar. I've looked through all the settings, but I dont see a way to turn it off.
I'm on JB Blu Kuban.
Thanks,

[Q] notification bar question

Hello! Just got the unlock version a couple days ago and I am using lightning launcher; it is awesome. My issue is with call and text notifications, how do I make the fire phone display that I have a new call/text or missed a call on the status bar. This is really frustrating, hope someone can help me.
I don't think this is possible without replacing the systemui file. The only other option would be to use omega status bar, or super status bar, which are basically status bar overlays.
So I did install omega status bar but it still wont show call or text notifications in the status bar. Can you tell me how to set it up? Even the app icon itself is not even showing that I have recieved a call or text.
I think you will benefit from reading the tips and tricks thread that's created. Member jondecker76 and myself branch out on a lot of helpful tips to use this as a daily device.

Problem - Notifications - The notification bar doesn't keep a log of icons of notifications. For example, if I get a KIK message it drops down, previews it, and vanished. Unless I open up the notification panel there is nothing to remind you of this. This bothers me as I often don't review them straight away and forget it even happened.
Solution- Notifications - I've toggled all the options regarding notifications in the settings. My original complaint still exists. This was a HUGE set back for me with this device. Luckily, with a lot of trial and error, I found an app that works well for me. It's call NotifierPro Free. I configured it so a bar drops down and stays under the status bar. I also configured it so these notifications remain until I swipe them away. This has been a HUGE help in allowing me to adapt to this device.

Running into the same issue, have you found a work around? I know this thread is old, hopefully the original poster will reply or someone else.
