Mine is fine. Are you only checking inside a building?

Try this
Knock on Wood, I think I got the gps problems nipped in the butt!
I had to reset the tablet from system settings after having both updates installed, when setting up tablet (initial boot) enable all location stuff except for the new android 4.3 wifi location while off option.. Also make sure to disable backup and restore options while doing the initial install.
Now so far GPS has been working steadily ever since first initial boot, no need to reset and power up again and after trying it for an hour all gps apps back and forth its still finding signal sometimes instant sometimes 20 seconds or so but no issues like before this time...
Working like it should now! I guess a hard reset after all updates was needed to reconfigure things!

This topic is covered in thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2382355 as well with some more detail.
While hard resetting your device after the updates does improve the GPS situation, there is still a problem that keeps coming back to haunt us. Perhaps a moderator can join these threads together?

In this thread issues are being discussed as well. First thing you can do to reduce the number of problems is to master reset your phone. Please make sure you back up your data including the files on SD card. It took me two resets to make things stable but as you mentioned there are abnormality with the phone. We are hoping there will be an update soon.
On that note, you might want to discharge your battery to improve it as well. Recharged it from switched off and from wall socket. Good Luck.

Yes I did the factory wipe in boot menu like 2 or 3 times and had to clear cache in boot menu to get the camera working. It seems pretty stable at the moment because I did another wipe yesterday and unroot before hand ato fix it. And I havnt rooted yet bacause I want to compare hw it runs because it seems pretty ok at the moment so I might root again later to see if it starts happening again.
And thanks for the tip about the battery
Update....i rooted again but this time with gingerbreak and when I installed setvsel I enabled jit and jis made the phone alot faster! What is jit? What does,it do?

[Q] No GPS lock after KitKat update

I recently updated my unrooted phone to OTA Kitkat and in hindsight wish I didn't. The GPS that worked flawlessly in 4.3 is no longer locking with the satellites( at max 3 or 4 fixes) and Navigation has become useless. I installed GPS Status and performed the usual steps(reset, get xtra data) to get a lock but several minutes would pass by before a single satellite was found. This was done outside under a clear sky. Has anyone run into this issue after the update? Any advice is appreciated.
Not sure why that might be happening.
Especially on a unrooted device.
I assume you don't have a custom reovery or anything like that either correct?
I would first try going into the recovery and wiping cache and rebooting.
Sometimes if old data is held there I remember that causing issues on my vibrant a while back.
If that don't work you might need to try a master reset of the phone and see if that fixes the problem.
If you are worried about loosing app data you can get Helium Backup from the market and backup apps and their data.
Just needs a computer to trigger it at first that is running windows, since you are not rooted.

Thanks for the suggestions. Here's what I did since I didn't want to reset the phone. I downloaded GPS Test and went outside in the Minnesota cold and waited for satellite fix. After 13 minutes, the phone found 7 satellites. I hopped into my car and started google navigation and drove for half an hour from work to home. Everything worked fine all the way home. An hour later I wanted to see if the GPS issue was truly gone and to my dismay after waiting for 10 minutes it didn't get a fix. This is really a bummer that the KitKat upgrade did something to the GPS functionality that it's taking so long to set the gps location compared to the 20 seconds under 4.3
I will give another try tomorrow and then will probably factory reset and start anew.

Something is amiss in 4.4.2 GPS. I had the same trouble, although with GE 4.4.2 ROM and not the official OTA.
What I did was to restore my original 4.3 ROM (dbombROM) followed by restore of GE, wiping cache and dalvik cache both times. I can't explain why that helped. But it restored my GPS function. While I was not able to get a lock for many many minutes, I get a lock now within few seconds (10-15 seconds may be).
Note that when I went back to 4.3 ROM, the GPS did not work in 4.3 either, while it was working fine just before upgrading to 4.4.2... So, lot of mystery there! But try restoring 4.3 ROM and restoring 4.4.2 again.

Oh...you said unrooted. Most likely you don't have nandroid backups of previous ROMs. Sorry man!
I'd try the faster fix app: https://www.google.com/search?clien......1c.1.37.mobile-gws-hp..1.8.789.USXOSBGtK7o

Glad to hear that I am not the only one. This is my 3rd replacement phone already. The first phone was completely replaced because the battery was overheated and drained within 3 hours. The second phone was replaced because of the GPS locked issue. The third one which is the one I am using right now is having the same issue. I noticed the issue after I did the OTA from 4.3.
I also noticed that if GPS cannot be locked, pull down the menu, either switch off turn back on the airplane mode or the GPS will immediately patch the problem. It's just an inconvenient when you need to reach at the phone clipped at the windshield from the driver seat when cruising 70 mph without a long hand or worst... need to do that in traffic packed road.
I almost got the same issue before. I just rooted the phone and flashed the custom rom. Now it works

Build 13.0-20160207 "Unfortunately, Bluetooth Share has stopped."

Is this a known issue with the D851 and CM13? I keep getting a force close over and over and it won't stop unless I reboot the phone witch in turn disables Bluetooth. I can't seem to find anything about it other than one post with no answers. Here is a pic of the build causing the problem. Any way to fix this?
Same issue here. Seems to be caused by a commit to lg g3 update init in the cm changelog.
Interesting. I decided to drop down to 13.0-20160206 and Bluetooth works, however "Unfortunately, Bluetooth Share has stopped." message has only shown up once so far. Bluetooth sound in "Star Trek Timelines" is slowed down, like the bit rate is low or something. Have not tried anything else yet.

Looking at the changelog for the next potential nightly, it seems like it will be fixed. They added back part of that file.

Anyone flash 20160212? I not only have the bluetooth issues, but mobile data regularly drops out, requiring an Airplane Mode cycle to regain.
UPDATE: re-flashed, GPS is working fine.
I dirty flashed 20160212 and now my GPS doesn't work, but the Bluetooth messages have stopped on my D851.

CM maintainers Forget our Device is BCMD unlike their devices.. so they think if it works for them, it must work for all.......
Only the D851/D856/F400/LS990 use BCMD while the others use that wcn crap.
as for data. Leave that to CM to mess that up to............. I had to go and fix my Device tree for PAC that CM totally screwed up.
your data issue is more a apn-cong.xml issue.. if you want a fix to that.. go read the last few pages on my Pac thread. and I listed a fix for data issues..............
Nice. Thanks!
..
Had this issues on an earlier build fixed it by reflashing

A long hard road followed all of this. Lessons were learned, and in the end, nothing really gained. Except a working phone.
The entire issue started when I tried to flash SuperSU. Not knowing that CM didn't use SU. That began the decline. I ended up using the LG flash tool to put it back to an older stock version. It worked for a while, then I rebooted and it went to hell. Deader than dead. I shipped it off to a guy in Texas I found on Ebay to JTAG it. Came back just fine. Except I think whatever I did to it before then jacked up the charging. The phone wouldn't charge at all. Sitting on a charger for two days gave it about 5%. Come to find out, it was still under warranty. I shipped it to LG. They fixed it, returned it, and now it's on stock Lollipop, and I have to say - I quite like LG's interface. I've turned off a few things, installed Nova, etc. But at this point I have no reason to root or go custom. I did with my VZ phones because they were such nazis about everything. But I've got free tethering with Tmo. The phone works well. So, I'm sticking with what I have for now.

Verizon S8+ Bugs and Issues

Hi everyone,
I have 2 Galaxy S8+ from Verizon and here are my issues:
Past issues:
One of them did not come with the Galaxy Apps store (Not the plays store), and that phone also experienced the DQA issue
Current issues:
If I turn on Fingerprint gestures, the fingerprint sensor will stop working, this was an issue I had from the day I got the phone and has continued even through the updates. Here's a thread I made about it a while ago : https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8+/help/fingerprint-sensor-t3595614
My internal speaker has detached, or at least I think that is the issue, as sometimes when I am in a phone call and shake the phone just a little bit, it will either start making a weird buzz sound or completely cut off the sound. Shaking it again will fix it, that's why I think it's a physical issue. I haven't dropped my phone and just in case I ever do, I have a case and a screen protector on it, and neither of them (phone, case, screen protector) have any damage marks on them.
The Biggest Issue: Currently this is the most annoying bug I am experiencing is that whenever I go to lock screen and security in the setting app, it crashes the settings app. I also can't use the search function in the settings app, as it crashes the app withing a few seconds. The lock screen and security is the only menu in which I experience this, I am 99% sure this is due to me turning on Secure startup. I had it turned on a few days after I got the phone and it worked great, I had to turn it off once, about a month ago in order to get a quicker boot. After that I was experiencing issues turning it back on (meaning I turned it on, rebooted the phone and it would not work) , after some persistence, I was able to get it to work and it has worked and still works.
One thing to mention is that I had done the most recent system update, I am not sure this issue was caused by at, since the inability so search in the setting menu has happened prior to the latest update.
I have tried everything other than a full factory reset (wiping all cache, wiping apps cache, reset setting, reset network settings), which I refuse to do, It is absolutely unacceptable for me to pay this much for this phone and have so many issues with it, I have factory resetted my phone (Samsung's recommendation) in order to fix the first issue listed above, multiple times and it did not work.
At this point I really don't know what to do, Samsung support has been useless in this, I don't wish to replace my phone right now as I need it to much to even give up for one day, If anyone has any advice/fix other than factory resetting, I'll happily try it.
Thank you,
GGgamer16
Sounds like a factory reset is needed. I just tried all you mentioned with zero problems on the newest update w/ navbar options and experienced none of that. Speaker problem is most likely hardware related.

You try changing your WiFi channel? Using 5ghz or 2.5ghz? I use Wifi 100% of the time I'm home and never have any issues with disconnects.

Yeah I have tried changing channels. It didn't matter. I'm on 2.4 GHz.
I found a possible fix from another forum. I changed my wifi encryption from wpa2 AES/tkip to wpa2 tkip only last night and was rock solid after that point. I didn't have any more wifi issues... Just wanted to mention this change for other people. I usually got 5+disconnects every night. I'm gonna try just the AES option tonight and see how it acts.

GPS issues

So I have noticed when I am going on long trips that my GPS keeps bugging out on google maps. At first I thought it was maps being weird but now I'm starting to think its the GPS in the phone itself. I'll be driving down the highway and it will suddenly start pointing the other direction like i just made a turn. After about a tenth to a quarter of a mile it will correct itself. Over the course of a 200 mile trip it did this every few minutes. Sometimes it would think that I had pulled off the offramp when I was still cruising highway speeds. This and the camera issues are making me seriously consider selling this phone and getting something different...

In Google maps click your location (little blue dot), then in the bottom left hand side click calibrate compass. I was having the exact same issue until I did this.
I have tried doing the calibration and it still wont get better than "low" accuracy. Do you get better than low?
Mines medium right now. I remember when I was having issues it showed low too. I had to get out of my car and do the compass calibration again as for some reason it wouldn't move off of low every time I tried in my car.
Yeah it's terrible. Hoping someone else has some fixes
Same annoying gps issues here as well
Just happened today for the first time. No clouds or building, I was out in the open. Marker flipped 180° 3-4 times while I approached a stoplight... hard to know which way to turn.
Makes me think this might be related to the recent 10.0.6 update?

Yes, that is exactly my lips around a hundred and eighty degrees numerous times. Takes forever for it to get oriented and it still sometimes gets off the kilter. I have noticed this since 10. 0.4

The first time I noticed this issue was November the 8th when I was driving north for 3 hours. It was obviously happening where it would do that marker flipping around. This last sunday i went on another trip and was still noticing the issue often. It even caused me problems when I was walking around downtown Kansas City trying to find a venue. I had to ask somebody to point me in the right direction because the thing couldn't decide where i needed to go. I have reached out to the oneplus support and i'm waiting for further instructions from them. ... here... ill copy paste the email.

No, it will not wipe the phone unless you select that option to wipe data or factory reset.
Well i will tell it to just wipe the cache... i am pretty positive whoever was handling the support just gave me instructions to wipe the whole phone though. lol. im not doing that.
Edit:
Wow... so frustrating... When I tried to do those functions the thing asked for a password. It wasn't my pin or my normal password i use. I have no idea what it was asking for but it gave a forgot password option to reset the phone. I reset the phone.
Also... its that easy to reset this phone?
Ok... Well after resetting my phone completely booted up, installed the latest patches and now when I check the accuracy in the maps it checks out high. Hopefully it stays that way.

So, did you end up losing all your data?
I was never root in the first place. All my data is in the google cloud. I just had to go through the annoyance of setting up all my settings and icons since they didn't stick.
Well I know it's not 7T, but I had horrible GPS on the 6T and 7 Pro models both. Neither had ok accuracy, no matter what I did. It would lose GPS signal on street, in car, on foot. OnePlus is just super horrible at GPS, and I have no clue why. Like why it is not acknowledged and why they won't fix it.
My recommendation is to try a reboot and/or use Google Maps when this happens. I am a fan of Waze, I prefer it much over Maps (speed limits). But in Waze and any other 3rd party GPS app - it struggles to find me way more than Maps. That said, your GPS won't magically fix itself in Maps. It will be just a tiny teeny bit better. So like.. from super horrible bad it will go to christ this is a horrible gps. It may still help in a pinch.

Interesting, thank you, I will try that.
I mean in my testing, I actually put different phones next to each other and tested GPS Signal strength.
The 7 Pro basically has a much worse signal than any other phone I tested. It's dark orange/red. Every other phone is at least yellow.
Just install "GPS Status" from Play Store, put your phone besides whatever other phone and prepare to get shocked.

Hello,
Posting this in case others are still searching for a gps accuracy fix on the Oneplus 7t phone.
I may have found a workaround for the gps accuracy issues on the 7t. Fwiw, I'm using the Verizon version, on a HD1905, with the latest March update 10.0.0.HD65AA. I was experiencing all the same issues, and sadly the March update didn't seem to make any improvement. I've only had the phone for a few days, and was very disappointed w/ the gps performance. Tried everything including wiping the phone clean (I didn't realize the gps was wonky until I spent a couple days migrating everything over), and nothing worked -- it would immediately boot and have wildly wrong gps location, or the lock would seem to phase in an out. If it wasn't for the shelter in place order, I probably would have returned it.
After much trial and error, I found a workaround that seems to work. Even tested on our walk around today with Gaia and it correctly tracked our path.
1) put phone into airplane mode
2) reboot, and leave in airplane mode after reboot
3) run google maps, wait for lock, should be accurate
4) turn off airplane mode
5) test gps -- it should work better
If you reboot while normal networking is enabled, the gps would fail every time -- never accurate. But when networking is completely shutdown when the GPS radio is turned on, it seems to work as expected. Using the 'GPS test' app, my accuracy goes from 100m/ no lock, to approx. 3M 3d-lock, just sitting inside on my desk, and it maintains it. I'd say my old Pixel phone still has slightly better gps accuracy overall, but this is very usable now. And, I don't reboot very often -- phone is always charged, etc, so the workaround is doable for me. If I do need to reboot, just have to remember to use airplane mode first. Otherwise, seems to work as expected now.
Hope that helps someone.

I have also found a workaround, although it involves toggling the location settings on and off. IE toggling the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scanning on and off. Generally this works for me, although sometimes I have to reboot the phone
