Three times I have experience with "random" freezes.
Twice on lockscreen and one in stand by. In both situation was phone hot like a hell. Someone another have "enjoyed" this?
I own this device only for two weeks, so this situations are realy sad!
Which firmware do you use? I had similar overheating issues with XXUAMG5-DBT ROM with additional battery drain issues, so I reverted back to XXUAMF5-BTU, the factory firmware.
I use factory firmware shipped with my S4 mini, no customization (I9195XXUAMF7).

Did you try any other firmware? If not, have a go with MF5. However, I didn't have such issues with MF7, apart from battery drain ones.
Currently I didn't try any other firmware. There is no other firmware version for my Region and I don't have experience with flashing Samsung and what are differencies with in regions.
When did you experience this? If the device is hot like hell, then you were probably using it while playing games for extended periods?
I never experienced this though on my MF5 firmware.
I have the same problem on my stock s4 mini. I have TIM brand version: 9195XXUAMH1.

I have also the same problem. I own this device for 7 days and it freezed for 3 times. Crashes when i am not using it.
i have also experienced another strange problem: When I open or close Wifi, it lags!!! For a few minutes (3-4), you can see the screen, and when you trying to give a command it's sooooooo slow.......
Baseband Version: I9195XXUBMJ7
Wtf, I did had another serie of random restarts and crashes.
But now today my phone was felt ****ing hot also toghether with a crash, I set it off for a while restart again using.
Then 5 hours later I'm calling with a friend, phone falls completely out and now it doesn't react anymore,
when I connect my adapter to the current it doesn't react anymore :s
Any idea or people who has had that?
(edit) First I tried 3 times with removing battery and back in (without result)
then I did get out the battery now for 5 minutes , I did it again in the phone ,
then I connected the adapter with the current and it was loading again :'o
Would it be safe to use it for some days ? Or should I better retour this to samsung in the first place?
Or contact them first?
Greetings
Since last firmware update , all this probs are fixed here.
(I did also a master reset 3 weeks before that update)

Have you tried the latest release of the ROM
I have that problem on an older version of the ROM, but you do not need to hard reset - it takes a few boot attempts, but removing the battery and rebooting and pressing reset and rebooting after a while it does load back into the ROM
Let me know if this problem is in the latest release or an older one as I intend on upgrading to the newest to see if the problem is gone

Yea well I only got the freeze inside of windows a couple times, but I get the welcome screen hang every reboot
Might flash to the new ROM using MTTY and see what happens
BTW - there is a MTTY that does not require all the stupid code this and code that and USB drivers bla bla--- it just runs right from windows and takes one flash using the romupdate utility to complete
just make sure the new rom is sitting on the storage card ready for the new flash as the phone will just stop at the splash boot screen as it now has no OS on it

MEMO
I've been using the Memo Memory and Graphic Tweaked Rom for a few months now. Now using Memo 2.6.2, which works great. There's also been great feedback on bugs through the forum, which have all been removed.
Memo: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=649841
And the fast-MTTY (which is called Task 29, the formatting task) also works fine for me, you can find all info in this thread:

Hi before you plan to cook xda ROM . I will recommend you to try out Hong Kong Official ROM, I tried out a lot and compare different Official ROM here is the result :
The PROS that found in the ROM :
1st - Guaranty fast and stable official ROM compare to sea, O2 and also UK ROM
2nd - Receive GPS signal quickly compare to the other ROM
3rd - If u tried SEA ROM u may found out the weather unable to update frequently
4th - Google Maps Integrated inside the ROM .. which SEA ROM dont have
5th - If you using Chinese words then it is too bad for SEA and other country ROM no integrated so you need to install CE-Star inside .
This is why I recommend u Hong Kong Chinese ROM as it comes with Chinese program . You dunned to install!!
The CONS that found in Hong Kong ROM that is :
1) No WINRAR
2) It would be hard for those people who cant read in Chinese. Although I not really like Chinese ROM but after I tried it . I really satisfy with the ROM .
Give It a Try Download Different Official ROM from Touch Diamond From Various Country Website you will notify which 1 suit you the best.
You may consider the above options that I given and try it =) you may saw a huge differences.
Lastly , I wont recommend some of the ROM that posted in xda
1st - Drain battery tremendously , dry your battery life even faster than official ROM
2nd - Very lag + not as good as what your expectation, cannot reach what you wants sometimes or even worse design
3rd - 3G Video Call not Function In Certain ROM as they want to the ROM even LITE smooth and faster
HONG KONG LATEST OFFICIAL ROM - RUU_Diamond_HKCSL_CHT_2.03.832.2_Radio_Signed_Diamond_52.44.25.24_1.08.25.20M1_Ship
Hello guys!
I have recently purchased Galaxy Nexus (White), the performance is flawless, the only issue I am experiencing with Stock 4.1.2 is that during calls my phone just reboots, by during I mean after 2-5 minutes.
So my question is does anyone have this issue? Does anyone have idea how to resolve it? Does this bug persist in custom ROMs? Or is it a hardware problem (I highly doubt there would be because in normal state it never reboots)?
I have found numerous users reporting this issue in Nexus S sub-forum but I have failed to find any relevant answer regarding thus issue in Nexus' forums.
Information regarding my device:
Baseband Version: I9250XXLF1
Build Version: JZO54K
Hoping for a positive reply!

I have the exact same issue, I mean i had if I may say, since 2 days I'm in safe mode because of this and no reboots since then.
I'm calling it with another phone continuously. If the phone seems ok in the next one day in safe mode, then some app can cause it and have to manually uninstall one by one to find the faulty app.
Hope it helps, You may try safe mode also.

Anyone else?
*Sorry for MAJOR bump*
For all those looking for solution, the issue has been resolved by flashing CM10 nightly! Which means that there's some bug in the JellyBean OTA and not in the hardware.

Why bumping such an old thread. Anyway. Just flash the factory image via fastboot. This will wipe everything stored on the phone but will iron out any issue (most of the time). This is always recommended with a second hand nexus.

Hi Guys,
I have switching roms in these few months. Recently, I tried to use back the stock rom N7105XXUFOB2. Everything went normal until I found 2 problems:
1. imei is blank with /01 when typing *#06#, but baseband was shown and I can still get the network. (My mistake for not backing up the efs folder)
2. GPS not found, tried with google map and waze but same issue. Tried with gps status also to no solution. (No satellite at all)
Then, I went for customs rom, GPS works and network works as per normal but with imei blank and baseband display. Anyone got idea on how to resolve it?
Appreciated if anyone can help.
Where did you get the stock ROM? Is that the latest stock ROM for the phone?
I found these stock ROMs: https://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?exact=1&q=GT-N7105

I have forgotten where I downloaded it. But definitely not sammobile as it requires user login.
Below is the version I use.
PDA/AP Version: N7105XXUFOB2
CSC Version: N7105OLBFOD1
MODEM/CP Version: N7105XXUFNI2
Region: Singapore (singtel)
Are you saying that the stock rom I am downloading is not genuine or somehow corrupted?
Is that possible that imei blank, baseband still around and mobile signal works as per normal? Because I am facing it. lol.
By the way, in 4.4.2, is there anyway to do screen mirroring to samsung tv? Firstly, it mentions 'Unable to Start Screen Mirroring because of Hardware Issues'. Then I checked online and edit build.prop file by adding in “wlan.wfd.hdcp=disable“. Then the hardware issue quote is gone but the tv screen is blank.
I would flash the latest stock ROM from updato.com.
I'm not sure how you can get any cell or data service from your carrier without success valid IMEI.

Ya, it is very weird. But just to confirm again. If I reflash the rom from the website you mentioned, Is that possible to fix the blank imei issue? I think it is going to be 50-50.
I have tried googled this issue, I found some said to change imei using mtk tool, does it apply to galaxy note 2 as it mentioned works for Mediatek devices and not sure about others?
Just a friendly reminder that XDA does not permit any discussions related to changing an IMEI.
Flashing the latest stock ROM will sometimes being back the IMEI.

Understood. I found the same rom in updato, just wonder why some roms with same android version but different pda version so late? (Eg, France (Orange) (FTM), N7105XXUFQH1, 4.4.2- 17 Sept 2017)
Is it just because the rom is being updated late in updato?
Different ROMs for different regions and carriers. Not all ROMs have the same languages too.

Understood and thanks for your explanation. For stock firmware, do you have problem doing screen mirroring to smart TV?
Unfortunately, I can't comment on mirroring because I haven't had a Samsung phone for a while.

Oh I see, never mind then.
The problem on the stock firmware is that manufacturer has already abandoned the phone. Therefore, many apps have been discontinued and that's why the screen mirroring is not working. But I trully love the stock camera app compared with custom rom. :crying:
Now I'm using custom rom and will continue monitoring first.
Anyway, thanks again.
I think the note 2 has decent hardware and could probably run 6.0 with no problem but Samsung would sell fewer phones

Ya, you are right. I am not using custom rom resurrection remix nougat version. The camera is not as smooth as the stock camera which is sad for me. My wife did complain to me that the phone with this rom was lagging, which led me to back to stock firmware.
But now I am back to same rom so far is ok, only that I need to make sure the phone can run smoothly and I will be happy to use it. Cheers.
Hi there,
i`ve got on of the first Samsung Galaxy Watch (D9D6) 46mm from 2018.
Like many other users i struggle with the heavy batterie drain.
(Over-night about 20%)
I´ve tested many different watch-settings, soft-reset, hard-reset,....but nothing gets me more then 2 days usage.
In my opinion this is a failure that comes with the latest FW-update from may/20.
Before the update the battery lasts about 4 days.
So i would like to know if its possible to flash an older FW.
I´ve read some posts here but haven`t found anything where i can download an older FW to flash ist using NetOdin?!
Modell: SM-R800
One UI: 1.5
Tizen: 4.0.0.7
Software Version: R800XXU1DSL1
Knox: 2.4.0
TIMA: 3.0.0
Would be great if someone could help me getting the watch back to normal.
With best regards
hagen
I had similar issues when I just bought my GW 800 in Dec-19, the first week the battery lasted 6 days with Tizen 4.0.0.4 and Firmware R800XXU1CSG4. Then there was the update to Tizen 4.0.0.7 "R800XXU1DSL1" and battery would only last 2,5 days, could not figure out why this happened. I noticed that when I flashed the 4.0.0.7 firmware again, it was back to 6 days. The moment I manually rebooted the watch, it went back to 2,5 days? So I decided to flash the 4.0.0.4 version to see what would happen, and got back the 6 days of battery. When I now reboot the watch, battery performance slightly goes bad to 3-4 days. So currently every now and then I factory reset my watch and don't reboot it anymore, only then I have a consistent battery consumption. If you do a search on the firmware number on the internet, there are a few sites were you can download the 4.0.0.4 version and flash it via Odin.
Hello @braas000,
thank you for the information. Never tried not to reboot the watch after factory-reset. Where have you downloaded tht FW? Many Pages looko like scam und not very trustworthy.
Have you flashed the 4.0.0.7 also via Odin or OTA?

Dear braas000,
Having the same problem + barometer problem despite some parts replacement from samsung !!! better to do things ourselves
I feel like Samsung want us to through out our watches to buy the GW3 ! may be not but I saw that many users are complaining about the same problems without any action taken by SmSg.
Any way, appreciate if you can share both files, the old FW to enjoy the battery life of the watch and the DSL1 in case if I'll need to get it back to the repair center to not avoid the warranty.
I appreciate it in advance and I'm sure that I'm not the only user to thank you for that.
Cheers,

Hi Hagen,
I've done nothing with the FW, I found a problem with the Altimeter / Barometer sensor, so I've disabled the related widget, disabling also the heart sensing by making it manually and I got almost 4 days now.
Going through many forums, looks like the new version of Tizen is power consuming... Therefore, I just force myself to be happy with 4 days.
Hi guys. I need your help
I bought this phone a year ago. It works fine at first, but then I'm not sure since when, the phone keeps losing signal and says "No service".
Network is up again when I restart the phone, but if I leave it for a while, it loses the signal and nobody can call me.
Is there anyway to solve this problem?
