Hello all. I am having an issue with the new Nexus 7 just as with the original. WiFi works great, web browsing Netflix , speed test shows 25 down. But if I try to do anything Google related like YouTube or hangouts play store it just doesn't load. I don't know what to do my router is relatively new and I only have this problem at home. At work its the same router and same ISP and it works just fine. And WiFi works great on my S4 and if I do tethering it works fine.
Are there some special settings for these Asus devices?

I have tried different settings with our WiFi, even setting it up as an open connecting. Problem still persist. Anything Google related just wont load. Images on the play store, youtube, Hangouts wont update. Idk what to do.

All of a sudden I cant download apps on wifi in the play store...it works fine on data though! Check it out in the pics...I disabled wifi and bam, started downloading...enable it and It just stuck at "downloading..."! Any ideas?

I'm having the same problem. There is a guy who mentioned in general as well.
Just downloaded and installed several apps over WiFi. No errors.
1. Google Play is working over mobile data for you - Not likely a Play issue.
2. Downloading over WiFi is working on two separate WiFi networks for me.
Probably an issue with your WiFi connection.
Or there's a slim chance there's a problem with the regional Google server that serves your WiFi, but the server that serves you over mobile data is different and is working properly. Not likely.
it works now....wtf?? idk what happened but that was weird
I was facing the same issue with the wifi network at my office. Browsing, Youtube etc were working perfectly. In in router configuration look for DNS server settings and select the box "use auto assigned DNS server". Save & Reboot your router. This worked for me and its downloading & updating apps from the Play Store over wifi.
Check your routers' firewall settings!

I recently had the same occur to me. All of a sudden my app updates weren't downloading anymore, gave error 403 and failed.
Turned out to be a setting in my routers' firewall: blocking cookies on the firewall prohibits the Play store from downloading!
Weird, but as soon as I turned off the cookie blocker on the firewall in my router, my apps updated again!
Hi guys,
Recently I've just noticed a weird issue, while using Google Voice Search over WiFi sometimes, actually very often, the search after issuing a voice command just hangs in Recognizing without returning any result.
If I switch from WiFi to 3G then Voice Search works instantly.
And is not like the WiFi is not working, the webpages are loading normally.
Has anyone noticed similar issues?

I just checked and mine worked fine..interesting..

Haven't noticed any difference in voice search between WiFi and cellular.
no difference whatsoever.. may be fault apk?
Works just fine on my Wi-Fi.
I've had the same issue, cards works fine, locations services too, but voice search just gives the constant "recognizing..." response.
After a few seconds it says: "Can't reach Google at the moment. You can still use the mic to place calls. Say "Call" and a name or number"
But switching to 3G works perfectly, only issue is on Wi-Fi.
EDIT: Y'know what? I just tried clearing cache and data, and eventually re installed Google Search, and it seems so have solved the issue, so give it a shot.
My son has had months of issues with the Netflix app basically 'hanging' on trying to load titles, profiles, etc on his nexus 7 wifi 2013.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there any fix? I've tried clearing cache/data/uninstalling. Seems to just keep having issues and not working. The same account works fine on my phone.
Thanks
I am having a problem with the wifi in my house and my Verizon Note 4. Some apps load very slow such as YouTube, Inbox/Gmail, Instagram, and Google play music for example won't play music at all. I also sometimes don't get hangouts notifications on time. Fairly often I have to open the actual conversation thread for the messages to show up. The weird thing is other apps seem to work flawlessly; Falcon Pro, Reddit Now, Pandora and Google Plus all work with no issues at all.
It gets even more frustrating....
My nexus 7 (2013) and my girlfriends HTC One (M8) work fine connected to the same wifi network.
The issues on my Note 4 all go away when connected to the wifi at my girlfriends house or when on 4G at home.
This leads me to believe the Note 4 just doesn't like my wifi here at home. I feel like I have tried EVERYTHING... Forgotten the wifi connection, made sure all the advanced wifi settings are correct, reset my router, I have even factory reset my phone but nothing has changed.
If anyone has any ideas please help. It will be greatly appreciated!!!

I also have some wifi issues. I can maintain connection with the wifi, however, the connection 'degrades' after the a couple of seconds to minutes and after the phone goes to sleep. I tried the following:
1. Airplane mode on and off
2. forgetting wifi and resigning in
3. rebooting
4. factory reset
5. router firmware update (Verizon fios Actiontec m1424wr).
No success... I've connected to other wifi sources (at verizon store, public restaurants, and mobile hotspots) and it would maintain a reliable connection like usual.
I'm getting a replacement Note 4 from Verizon. If that doesn't fix it I don't know what will...

This probably won't solve your WiFi problem, but maybe while you are at home you can use the "download booster" function? If you have unlimited data, of course, because it will use your 4G if I'm not mistaken(?) s:
After trying numerous things I finally received my replacement Note 4. Turned it on and connected... no wifi issues at all. This meant that it was not an issue with my router and instead isolated to the actual phone itself.
Very happy that this worked, though unfortunately it isnt the quickest fix. I suggest turning it in for a replacement if all else fails
After installing the App and restarting, uninstalling and reinstalling a few times still not working. I can launch the App just fine browse the collection but once you load your Movie it will launch like it's about to Play but won't. The Vudu Movies and TV screen will show and then will sign me out of the login. Anyone else use this App or have issues.
I didn't know I had an issue until I read this post. I checked it out on my phone, and Video is not playing. It starts loading and the the app restarts.

I have the same issue as well. Usually don't watch movies on my phone but just tried and it doesn't work. Hmm.
Sprint G4.
I contacted VUDU about the issue and this was their reply:
Hello,
*
We are currently experiencing issues with the Lollipop software. It appears that the issue is affecting playback on all devices with this software, due to a clash between the software and our VUDU app. We are actively working on a release that will remedy this bug for our customers.
*
I have done some playing around with the app and noticed that after a few tries, it will eventually work for me. I also noticed, when I un-installed and re-installed the app, I had success with playback the first few tries. Nonetheless, there is an issue with the app that we’re looking to resolve. Just wanted to supply a bit of feedback from my personal experience.
*Vudu support
So, it looks like there's a bug, they're aware of, and working on it. Until a fix is found, playback will be hit and miss.

Ok good to know I have 2 G4 and both have that issue but didn't have another phone with Lollipop software besides them . I'm on Tmobile I haven't forced tried it though. Flixter App works fine though.
my other issue is Netflix now. Phone #1 worked with Wifi calling Phone #2 doesn't after go back and forth between Netflix and Tmobile and did everything we can think of still nothing now Phone #1 doesn't work either with Wifi calling.
It does work with Wifi calling but it has to be set to Cell instead of Wifi Preferred (unless no cell service) option. Which is stupid since it worked before and on my Note 2. Tmobile then tried to say something about the Wifi calling feature demands more data or something and that's why. After Master resetting phone's etc a few times I find the issue to be when you first Log in to Netflix and Google Services wants a update. Since it did work on both after the Master resets but it will force the update on it's own.
I wasn't aware of the lollipop issue with VUDU, but like mentioned by BDestroyer8418, Flixster does work.
I double checked on the Netflix, and that plays fine as well.
As long as I was checking on these, I went ahead and verified HBO Go, Showtime Anytime, EPIX, the CW, and FXNow. All seem to play fine.
I rarely watch any of the services on my phone, since I usually just push to the Chromecast. So, as long as that all works, I will be content (until VUDU comes up with a solution).
LG-VS986
Netflix starts video playback almost immediately on my wifi. So, I don't have an issue there.
I can still use vudu with my phone and chromecast without issue, so at least there's that.

The problem is Tmobile Wifi Calling for Netflix. I'm not not sure if other carriers offer that feature Tmobile has. They add it in Tmobile software on Devices. They might have it but not sure you guy's would know for sure.
For Vudu doesn't seem like it matter's what Carrier your own most likely No unless you can force it work temp til they update it. Since Tmobile, Sprint and Verizon users reported the same Restart Loop.
Sprint has wifi calling, but it doesn't matter if I have it on or not, I have no issues with Netflix. So it may be just isolated to t-mobile.

So after looking around some more I found this http://www.reddit.com/r/LGG3/comments/32kowb/tmobile_lg_g3_lollipop_with_wifi_calling/
Looks like same issue on Tmobile LG G3 on Lollipop with the Netflix problem with Wifi Calling. This is most likely Tmobile problem then ? Something in the Wifi Calling feature.
