Did you just Flash a new Rom? Is it Error code 67 ? Turn on WiFi. Then update PRL / Profile. If that does not work, call Sprint. Have them reset your Data connection. Do not tell them your Rooted. Also be on a Sense Rom with working ESPT, if you decide to call them.

Thank you I sold the phone to a friend when he took it in to sprint to turn it on they couldnt get the data going. It's rooted with a custom Rom that was a fresh instal.

Since no one has posted an updated zip for this when I desperately needed it..
Here you go. Oh and I've added the Virgin Visual Voicemail as well. I've only tried it on CM10 ROMs and it works so let me know if it works for other ROMs.
Installation:
Flash it in recovery. DONE.
For folks who just flashed a completely fresh custom ROM, I recommend using VMD710MMS+VisualVoicemailFixWITHOUTMMSapk.zip.
For folks who already have Visual Voicemail, then use VMD710MMSFixWITHOUTVisualVoicemailMMSapk.zip.
The MMS.apk I included in those zips are really kind of pointless but oh well.

> Updated Visual Voicemail. Should work now! :cyclops: I recommend flashing the last one without the MMS.apk. Only use the other one with MMS.apk if MMS is still borked. If none work, then dang..
Credit to brooksyx for providing the base fix
** THIS MMS FIX IS NO LONGER WORKING **
Here's a link for Visual Voicemail T.6.0.0.48 tho: https://app.box.com/s/sm80o9sbr4bf10dcc2m4urs24f1r62ja

Ran into the issue of not being able to see any MMS sent to me, until I sent out an MMS. Weird. It would say I had 3 messages, would go into the thread but nothing was there. Sent an MMS and bam they showed up.
Re: [FIX] Virgin Mobile Updated MMS Fix
Mms works great, but I'm not getting any voicemail notifications. I'm on CM10.1 WFTN.

Try it and let me know! No harm in trying if your MMS isn't working already. Use the one without MMS.apk and Visual Voicemail
Updated OP. Visual Voicemail should work now
Mms fix without MMS.apk works on miui in case anyone wants to know. Awesome jobs thanks

If you don't already have the APK for VVM from the JB update, I've attached it. I've tested it on my phone and everything appears to work perfectly. Disregard this if your update already includes the JB version of VVM, I only tried the original.
I believe it already does
Do you have 5.3.3.22 or 24? I noticed that after flashing your fix I had 22, which didn't work for me, but reinstalling 24 did work. Might not be the case for everyone, but if it's not working for anyone else then they should try installing the 24 apk in case it fixes something.
With these files, could I install Jellyverse 3.0 (TW Based Custom) on a Virgin E4GT then install this to make the sprint custom rom work with MMS on virgin?
Or is this only for AOSP's?

Ive tried this and it doesnt work. You need to manualy change your apn setting by using phone dailer or some other short cut.
Open dailer ##3282#
But you will need you msl code also. This is how I have to get it to work
Would be nice if someone could make one that would work with tw based roms... wink...wink....

I've been running Xylon Rom for some time without any data/internet issues. This morning I unplug my phone and there is no data service. I can make/receive calls and texts but have no data/internet service.
I spoke with AT&T about my issue but they were unable to resolve it and recommended I get a new sim card.
Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks
Did you check your APN? Maybe try rebooting the phone. It shouldn't just disappear for no reason.

Just a trick for future issues...
Go into your APN settings and create a duplicate APN of the one you use in a new location. Then dump the APN's you don't use.
Xylon is clearly a CM variant build, and contains 3-4 extra APN's already yes ?
Dump the ones you don't use, and leave the one you do, then create the duplicate.
That way, the system only has the correct APN to use, and will still function if it reverts to the alternate APN......g
I have a solavei SIM, and have for quite some time, never had any issues. All of a sudden I can't send mms, I've tried all the apn's and even factory reset, all the way up to odin the phone all the way back. I still can't get mms to work. Someone please help. The phone is tmobile s3, locked, never had any issues, not rooted.

Sorry, never heard of solavei....
If it just happened randomly, then it's probably on the carrier side. Call and see if they made any changes recently that could affect this. Otherwise, I'm just not sure.

I don't I'm puzzled by this. I had someone look into it for me. The only thing they could come up with was my phone is T-Mobile kicked do they can't help me.. yet they're a T-Mobile mvno

I'm actually wondering if it could be T-Mobile's fault....sorta. with all of their recent changes and network upgrades, couldn't it be possible that some important things are now different, but your carrier has no idea about it as they may not have been informed? Or maybe something like this wasn't expected. It's just a guess of course, but I know the primary apn changed in markets where T-Mobile deployed LTE. Maybe other things changed too?
I know you said you tried the different apn's, but try the file linked below. Rename the current apns-conf.xml with .bak and copy this one over. It's in /system/etc/ I believe. Then reboot and see if it helps. It's all I can think to try right now. But this has only the new T-Mobile apn. All others are removed.

I'm using Solavei just fine make sure you APNS are setup properly and that you save and select the apn to use. Dont just press back. You can download the solavei app to set up your phone if you still cant figure it out.

That kind of sounds like it could be an account problem, just a guess though, but it would make sense. Maybe go to a local store and ask.If you can try one of their SIM cards in your device.

If you're stock, not rooted, there's not a lot you can do. Chances are it's an issue on the carrier side still. Have you tried your SIM in another device? Tried a new, or someone else's SIM?
Sent from my SGH-T999V using Tapatalk 4
Well I can still send mms if I use a third party app, without having to use Wi-Fi.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk now Free
Usually a stock sms/mms app sends via the carrier, so it goes over a secure line through their servers....or something similar to that. Hard to explain. 3rd party apps don't care about your carrier and just send over the internet, be you connected via WiFi or mobile data.
Sent from my SGH-T999V using Tapatalk 4
Oh ok, that makes sense. But I'm about to cry. This has been frustrating. I've even been as far as going odin using the official tar and updating ota.

I know, and I understand the frustration! But those are some of the very reasons why I think it may back a carrier/account problem.

Fixed it! Had to modify the solavei apn. Basically mms proxy had to be black, had to change authentication type to none, add the ,supl, mns, admin, hipri whatnot. Basically even though this was suppose to be imei specific, it was incorrect.

the wifi tether for root users is not working with the liquid smooth rom just released, but the optimus DE rom works just fine as well as stock. tried reconfiguring it all different ways and mimicking the optimus rom settings I had that worked just fine. not sure why it works fine for one and not for another. any ideas?
just so everyone knows, I'm not a total noob at this. I've had a Samsung nexus S 4g forever, had it rooted for almost 2 years. great phone, moved up to the optimus for its hardware capabilities, but have had some issues with configurations on certain apps. great phone so far, the lg firmware makes it a little difficult to play around with. I've tried wiping davlik, pulling data from my other rom and everything. I went from a 4.1.2 rom to a 4.3.1 rom. i'm wondering if the 4.3 doesn't support the wifi tether? I use the crap out of it and haven't ever been billed for it. its awful handy, and sucks not to have it. tried the trevE mod version too, with the exact settings off my other rom it always starts with errors. if I turn it to NetD it works properly but doesn't show up when I scan to find it. not sure whats going on here?

I think most CM/ASOP ROMs have tethering built in. That's why the app doesn't work.

Stock ROMs you have to pay for. Or root and the app.
CM/AOSP depending which one, have a free hotspot built in. I think it's usually in settings>phone or roaming. Somewhere around there on the settings.
