The CyanogenMod team has announced in a short Google+ post that work on CyanogenMod 10.2 (Android 4.3 Jelly Bean) has started, but no delivery dates have been given.
Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is Google’s third Jelly Bean version, an update that was officially announced yesterday despite having been discovered for a few months now, and brings several improvements to Jelly Bean.
According to the CyanogenMod team, there’s a “cm-10.2” branch into its “Github” but there are apparently plenty of errors to sort through before going forward. The team advises not to build it yet:
4.3 Status Update #1
All AOSP repositories have been merged into our Github and branched to “cm-10.2″.Do not build it yet. There are a multitude of build errors that we are working through. We will put up another status update when everything has settled down.
No ETA.
We’ll keep you updated on the progress of CM 10.2, but while you wait for this popular custom ROM version to come out we’ll remind you that a stable CM 10.1 version is already available, complete with a couple of

Hi,
I started seeing 4.0.4 available in some ROMS. I have been running 4.03 on AOKP for the past couple weeks, but where is the official release of 4.03 ??
I monitor this site every day: http://code.google.com/android/nexus/images.html
Why dows people flashing 4.04 and 4.03 here and there but Google dont release officially those builds??
Thanks.
4.0.4 isn't in any ROMs, modaco is a hybrid and CDMA might have some deodexed versions of 4.0.4
4.0.3 is tagged in AOSP, so we can build that. The only 4.0.4 ROMs will be for CDMA Galaxy Nexus AFAIK, and there can't be a source built 4.0.4 ROM until it is tagged and released in the AOSP tree.
4.0.3 was released on the Nexus S and found to have a few issues so it's been pulled. Because of that, it would appear Google thought twice about releasing it on their flagship dev phone so are holding off until they get a nice build - rumoured to be 4.0.5 but nothing confirmed so far
The latest OTA update is up to 4.02 only. All other versions are unofficial leaked/custom ROMs.

4.0.3 isn't leaked. It's in AOSP repo, yes it's in custom ROMs but you can compile a AOSP 4.0.3 only version as if it was a OTA.
just to underline what's already been said;
you can build 4.0.3 tag from aosp;
you can also build from aosp master branch: this is the bleeding edge branch of aosp. in other words, in terms of the android dev tree, master has all the latest fixes (and "features") of ics.
Sorry to come in all noob and stuff. Just a quick one, what's AOSP?? = /

I am running cm10 on my galaxy s3, the d2att version which is for AT&T. Since the Jelly Bean update is being released in the US now, and should be released by att soon, is it expected that the d2att CM10 will see a very stable update shortly after its release? The reason being that the developers will maybe be able to fix any bugs in the current roms since they will have the official release to pull from. or does it not work like that? thanks!
The CyanogenMod merger of the 4.2 code base in in progress, and they will not promise any dates at this point in time. From what I understand, it seems to be moving along well.
They tend to post progress updates on Google+ at regular intervals.

Just had this thought this morning and thought I'd post it.
I'm very loyal to Slim Rom, even did some testing for some releases in my Samsung Captivate days. According to their web site they are tidying up their last version of 4.1.2 and are already working on bases for their 4.2.1 ROM. That said the first rom that boots and works from any team with 4.2.1 is getting flashed . I really hope it's the Slim Team, but more then likely it will be CM I think.
I flashed 2012-12-04 Nightly and they seem to still run 4.1 ?
This is not a whining thread, I am just confused... why are they still releasing 4.1 Nightlies when many other phones already got 4.2.1 nightlies.
GNexus doesn't have 4.2.1 nightlies yet.. right?

Yes CM 10.1 which is 4.2.1 is not official yet, however, you may like to check this "Unofficial" thread
You will need to wait some time for the official CM 10.1 update

Just a question, how come they continue to release the CM10 nightlies? Why don't they completely focus their efforts on CM10.1 rather continue working on an out dated version?

because they want to get CM10 perfectly working but they are already working on CM10.1 but just not for the galaxy nexus that's why you need to checkout the unofficial nightlies but if you want to get the new camera and apps of 4.2 you can flash the gapps on your device running cm10 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_k2UTkZ4xic

As you’re making your way down the list of things to try with your newly acquired tech toys, one thing you’ll undoubtedly get around to is flashing a custom ROM. Those looking for aftermarket firmware now have one more Android 4.4.2-based option, as the AOKP team has just finished incorporating Google’s latest and greatest into their nightly builds.
Currently, Android 4.4.2-based nightly builds are available for the Google Nexus 5, Nexus 4, Nexus 10, Nexus 7 (2013), Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy S III, Galaxy S 4, HTC One, Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia T, and Xperia V. More devices will be added to the nightly list as soon as they’re ready. The AOKP team recommends a full wipe when installing the latest JB-MR2 nightlies, but users on unofficial builds released after December 10 may be able to get away without a full wipe.
Head over to the AOKP Downloads page to get started with the latest builds. Then once you’re ready to get in on the discussion, proceed over to the XDA forums to get in on the discussion.
