cm10.1 and even cm10 really drains battery fast. depends on what u are doing w/ ur phone. if u really want to use 10.1, i suggest you use 3.0.x kernel. as far as i know, it's more stable than 3.4.x. try the following kernels and use the one that suits ur needs :good:
3.0.x kernel
HurtSky
Madridii
Skull
3.4.x
HurtSky
Skull
[KERNEL][✔ICS✔JB] CastagnaIT v11.0

On CM10 I get up to 2 days out of a charge (depending on usage) on Madridii kernel set to Smartass V2 and SIO as processor and governor.
I Just flashed a CM10.1 ROM today (Honami UI) and am giving Hurtsky V2.6 kernel a try. If it doesn't work out on the battery front I will be switching to Madridii again.

So I learned the hard way that I can't use Kings kernel with MIUI (completely froze my phone). What other kernels are out there that I CAN use with MIUI that will improve battery life?
Thanks in advance!

Whats MUIU?
Try Tiamats 4.0.3 kernel sbc or non sbc, both work fine. Using it right now great with MIUI..
ROM: MIUI-v1.5.20
KERNEL:Tiamat 4.0.3 | 2.6.38.6

Fusion Kernel v3.4 or Fusion Kernel v3.5 or LuPuS-JBv2 or which kernel is the best for CM10? Thx
Fusion kernel 3.4 Non OC is the best for FXP CM10 latest version.
Look at my signature for the link to the CM10 fixes.

i have try and it's true...battery life is lesser than stock...but it's very good performance kernel
I have used lupus and fusion 3.5 with paranoid android jb rom and aokp jb rom. and i agree with most above for battery/performance issue. if you want battery go fusion also it is no less in performance as compared to lupus (IMHO). :good:
it's better Fusion v3.4 or 3.5???
...and why?
from what users say on forum fusion 3.4 is stable for youtube issues while 3.5 has some issues with youtube. rest i havent encountered problems with fusion 3.5 . i think you should try both yourself for better experiance .:good:
Try Lupus v2 with Supremacy Script v2, battery should be better.
Arc Fusion + Supremacy Script v1 is smooth and has good battery (3 days on mine)
is arc fusion 3.4 can use for the upcoming fxp cm10 release or only current release ?
is the battery in this kernel good ?
Xperia Arc LT15i(anzu)
Kernel: LuPuSv9 OC @ 1.6GHz bfq governor
ROM:Ultimate HD Rom 2.0.3
Mods: Ultimate HD Mod 2.4, v6 supercharged[MFK+Die-Hard Launcher+NLN], Seeder Entropy Generator
Score: 5767
My RAM is still low even though I debloatwared it thoroughly.
Unless I installed UHD 3.0 or flashed .13 base firmware.
[Q]===I want to install either a CM10 based or a .13 firmware or more mods to improve performance. Any recommendations?
Only that I don't want the UI of CM10, and I can't find a stable kernel for the .13 firmware

Stick with a stock ROM then, probably best for users like you.
Personal choice, personal taste. This was discussed zillions of times.

I recently tried this ROm http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2295554 and I'm really satisfied by the performance but the problem now is in battery life. I wondered if there was another kernel that I could flash and would give me better battery life. Can anyone help , please ?

actually, battery life really depends on your usage. afaik, 3.0.xx for battery life and 3.4.xx for performance. try the following:
cm stock kernels by @arsradu: use cm10.1 kernels only. either 3.0.xx or 3.4xx
cm9-cm10.2 stock kernels
3.4.xx
Stock kernel w/ additional features
Phenom Kernel
Madridii Kernel V1.8
HadiKernel
HurtSky's Kernel
3.0.xx/ 3.4xx
Deka Kernel
HurtSky's Kernel

Hello guys so i open this threat just for people can comment what rom they are using, and meaby discust which one is better , so if u want to share with us your rom feel free to comment below
BTW hers my Rom : 4.2.2 beta 3 by acro- the most stable ever
I use growl v6 with kernel 3.67 madridi, super smooth and my battery lasts longer.
Pacman rom has every options that I need, but its unusable because of too much lags (maybe eats a lot of RAM).
Carbon is usable and smooth with 3.70 madridi kernel, but growl I think fits my needs.
Cyanogenmod 10.2 alpha 4 with stock kernel
Sent from my GT-I8150 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I've been using CM9 EOL + Hurky Kernel..
its so good.. good performance and battery..
CM9 eol odexed + latest stock kernel
CM11 by arco
CM11 by arco. This is the best rom ever.
I used to flash every single update Sir Arco dished out (CM9 -> CM10 -> CM10.1). I used CM10.1 beta 1 for a very long time. It's a great rom, the extra features and smoothness was great however my battery life was abysmal for some reason (I go pristine before each flash. It was great until RC8, but the battery life dropped significantly after RC9). I figured I don't use the JellyBean features much (Google Now is great, but it's a battery and memory hog for a low specced device such as ours) so I went back to CM9 EOL with Hurtsky's REV9 kernel, deleted the apps I don't frequently use like facebook, tango and viber, and now I have a super smooth device with a battery that lasts about 1.5 days with moderate use ^_^
hello
