Thought I share this little bit of awesomeness.

Thanks dude. Oh and the link isn't broken btw

This version seemed a little smooth. I got it on the day it came out. I'm thinking they updated more than the cloud feature but memory optimizations.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

Great idea but would be better if Swiftkey maker just adds an option allowing to export the data to the sdcard so user can encrypt it, store it wherever the users want to, also allow for import this data. Not so keen on the data I'm typing stored on Swiftkey's server.

Does this new version allow user editable custom dictionaries? No idea why the devs thought that feature didn't need to be in the older versions.
Still miffed that it randomly forgets what it once knew. I have an idea. Prioritize user entered words. Problem solved.

New google music out

New google music .apk out if you'd like to try it early. And I know you do
Uninstall old GM prior to install.
Also, if you have trouble syncing with your online music try clearing app data, or just uninstall and reinstall and that seems to clear up that issue.
Looks sick. Thanks man.

Thanks for the heads up. I've got the new version installed, it's mostly a nice graphic update. One thing I did notice is that the "make available offline" option is no longer included, which kind of sucks.
Also, I was hoping that there would be some work done on the Music widget, which is frankly pretty lame. Unfortunately the widget looks exactly the same.

"make available offline" is still there- you might have to clear data or uninstall/reinstall
Perfect. Thank you.
Thanks for posting this. I used the beta sparingly but they have Linux support now I hope we get to keep this for free

I recently bought a 32 GB micro SD chip. Makes this a little unneeded. Checked it out any way. Didn't really notice a difference other than the UI looking a little different.

Version? Source?
What version is this? And where did you get it? I'm currently running 3.0.1.399. Is this different than the 4.0.1 ICS build that was leaked recently? I a curious why the file is named "Music2" (as opposed to 3/4). I'm extremely weary of installing something like this on my device.

Don't worry, it's legit. Straight from Android police, and yes it's the ics v4 that was released.

Is anybody else having a problem with album art? I'm using 500x500 or better images but the now playing screen looks like a 50x50 thumbnail stretched. Love the new setup though, landscape mode looks SO much better.

SwiFTP - Wireless File Transfer

Haven't seen this posted here so if I missed it, let me know please.
The original dev for this app no longer supports it but it has since been picked back up by another.
Itll basically allow you to wirelessly transfer files between your phone and computer. Uses it works for both internal and external sdcards!
Go here to download:
http://ppareit.github.com/swiftp/
Original project page here (no longer supported):
http://code.google.com/p/swiftp/
Makes things just a little simpler! Enjoy!
All credits go to both original and current devs.

Thanks for the extra option though!

Swi_FTP works on Android 7.1.2.
Swi_FTP 1.24 is eternally alive and only has 76.6 KB.
Works flawlessly on Android 7.1.2!
The successor to Swi_FTP is the now free FTP Server application, but swollen to 2000 KB.
It is a pity that this thread is remote from the main stream of information from XDA.

Uhhh that's illegal and not allowed on xda. Better change it before a mod catches it

Well I was hoping there was a free legal way to get it.... like taking a offer or a survey. Kinda like how akinator lite offer akinator pro to people who like their Facebook page or tell a certain amount of people about the app.... free doesn't always mean steal. Remember that

Did you leave the box checked that said sync with Google (OE something like that on the first boot)
And as far as tb goes give app to zip a try. Its a great app, and there is a free version that will do all you need. And the pro version is less than three dollars

LOL I love starting my morning with a good chuckle
I guess that it only working when an official ROM is installed. I tried more than 4 custom ROMs and all cannot get my apps back

Saving my apps to an sd card works for me. I also tend to modify roms via the android kitchen and while at it, place a few apps I need accessible prior to flashing (root explorer, etc).
Well, I've noticed that they don't restore all the time unless you use the same ROM. But even a stock rim misses the occasional app. Titanium Backup works great for me.

Remove your Google account, and just add it back for auto restore to work again.

Just a kick because if your apps don't start to auto restore and you want them to, simply go to Settings, Remove your Google account, and just add it back. Worked for me.

Google Now vs Robin?

Which one do you guys prefer and why? I personally cannot find any use of google now while robin is very helpful in my opinion...
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
I like both but its nice to see a new fully functional voice assistant
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
I suggest trying utter!
It is currently in beta but has a distinct advantage over other voice commands which is customizability and it can execute tasker tasks.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
I have not tried Robin but will give it a try. I like Google Now. The widget occupy's a 4*4 space on my home screen and it keeps me up to date with the local weather, my next appointment/work schema, how much time it takes me get to work and to get home. Every now and the I will be reminded with a picture and name that a friend on Google+ is having a birthday.
Other cards turn up and when I open Google Search!
The only voice commands I use are simple ones such as currency checks or a quick math problem.
I like Google Now.

Utter uses whatever voice engine you choose. So the misunderstanding part is usually due to the person not saying the command correctly. It has to be exact.

I find that I use Google Now a lot. I rely pretty heavily on searching for locations on my desktop, then having an estimated time of arrival listed as a card on my phone that I can easily set as a navigation target. The ability to pull my calendar events and tell me when I need to leave due to traffic is also quite helpful.

Tapatalk 4 beta is out ...

Tapatalk 4 beta version is out and so far I like it especially for being beta still! It's much more refined and it can do more than before. Enjoy...

It looks real nice but I can't seem to find myself to our sgs3 forum.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 2
None of my login info was remembered when going from v2 to v4. Thought that was the purpose of having a Tapatalk login. Subs didn't show up, had to find forums, unsub, then resub for them to show up.
Read markers still not functioning properly (read: at all).
UI looks nice. Lots of change. Seems a little clusmy, though.
It does still need work, but it is in beta.
Did it replace your older version of tapatalk? If not thats why it didn't haave you're subs.
Maybe you could try copying one of the data files from the old to the new version. I think the subscribed topics is stored in the .db file. If the database structure isnt too different it should work. Otherwise it may freeze and/or crash.
Anyway, im sure once its out of beta there will be a way to import your subscriptions or itll more likely just update like normal apps at that point.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Right now, it's a separate download in the playstore as Tapatalk 4. Was unaware subs were stored in a db file locally (doesn't make much sense) - although, it seemed to remember my subs, but wouldn't display them until I un/resubbed to them.
First time user not a bad app so far.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
It's a nice update to Tapatalk 2...definitely feels smoother and looks better too.
