This is for development purposes only and should not be used without knowing exactly what you are doing. I take no responsibility for your phone impregnating your wife or your mother by you using this.
Seems people want this - but no one has posted.
If you need a return the return to stock ODIN files you can visit AdamOutler's thread.
I downloaded this file directly from a stock, un-rooted, bootloader-locked AT&T SGH-I337 SGS4 utilizing Heimdall 1.4. Use at your own risk.
NOTE: You MUST remove the .txt extension from the filename. This is the actual PIT downloaded via Heimdall but in order to upload as an attachment to XDA I had to add the .txt extension.
ANOTHER NOTE: there is a possibility this will not work for you due to potential signing issues. YMMV

Ok, thank you. If it is like other phones have been, using the 16GB Pit file one a 32GB phone will at best get you a 16GB internal memory phone that started out 32GB...unless they partition internal memory different now.
Hello,
Thank you for posting this file.
I recently got myself in a jam by flashing a galaxy s3 rom to my s4.
I am looking for a pit file to replace the stock partitions, but your file got blocked by my stock recovery.
Secure File Check: PIT
Followed by an Odin Fail.
When you were using Heimdall, was it able to push the file past that download mode secure check?
Thank you for your time.
Wont let me change it to a pit file. There is no way to take out the txt.
Looks like this isn't working for everyone. Closing the thread

Okay, to make a long story short, I tried rooting my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 through Odin 3.07 with the prerooted.tar.md5 file. I tried it that way first, and it failed. So, I tried taking the .md5 extension off, and tried to root it again. And, it stil failed. Now, my device is bricked, from what it appears it is just a soft brick because I can still get to the download mode. Anyway, I was wondering if there is somewhere I can find the stock tar.md5 file that was on the galaxy tab 3 prior to me trying to root it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
James
That md5 file is just a checksum for the tar file you need. See if there's another larger file in the same directory

Okay, I'm not familiar with that term, so what does that mean in simple terms? Thanks.
James
Basically the file you tried to root your device with is not the right file, he is saying there should be another file in the folder you downloaded that is the correct file to root your device with. But as far as I know the 217s doesn't have an Odin root yet and you need to look in the q&a section for kingo root option

I'm in the exact same situation. I have the Sprint Galaxy 3 SM-217S 7 inch Tab and I flashed with a file made for the WIFI only device. Guess I will just have to wait for the scene to catch up with a recovery file or a tar.md5 file for the SPRINT tab not the WIFI only tab.
Without being 100% sure' but I think you can unbrick with this firmware:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?model=SM-T215&pcode=0#firmware
Check the specs of the tabs to be 100% sure though...

That's why it's very important to check and double check to make sure you have the right ROM before you flash it. I suggest going to Samsung's site and seeing if they have the firmware there available for download.
No luck so far with the Samsung website trying to find the stock firmware or sammobile.com. I'll just keep checking around weekly until I find a solution.

does any one have this pit file???

I'm trying to get you that file and I'll post a link if I get it.
Isn't the pit already set for stock roms? Of the four you say you used, were they official like from Samfirmware?
Also did odin say they were successful?

yes all stock roms were from samfirmware and flashing went smooth with odin
um pretty sure its not the rom problem
its partition problem
so thats why i was looking for pit file
or do you have this kernel file?

pit file is available here
http://www.dlgsm.com/index.php?dir=..._4.2.2/P5210ZHUAMH1_P5210ZZHAMH1_P5210ZHUAMH1
but unfortunatly um unable to download from this site
I'm not positive of the reliability of the source so use at your own risk!
Unzip the file to get the .pit had to zip it to upload it here.
Hope this helps. Took forever to find this file without having to pay for it.

The gt-p5210 pit seems to be impossible to find unless you speak farsi and want to pay a site in Iran for it.
But dont give up hope. I have a couple feelers of there and maybe I'll get a bite for you.
In the mean time you just might want to give the 5200 pit a shot. Cant hurt too much being you're in a bootloop already.
But of course I must say do it at you own risk.

@mohali256
You have not mention why you need the pit. The pit mention before was grabed from P5210 using the following command in terminal or adb:
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0 of=/sdcard/out.pit bs=8 count=481 skip=2176
once you execute, go to your Sdcard folder and look for out.pit.
This is a command many Samsung devices share. I am confidece that the output is correct. But no one has confirmed using it succefully.
In any case I sugest you use that command your self to get your own pit and compare with the one I posted in my original post.

4.4.2 Is a troubled game! You never can be sure what is going on if you change things in system!.
In a worst case a loop-boot can be as result of Lock boot failing dm-verify!
Google suggest Manufacturers to start enforcing on a limited population for testing!. Who knows maybe that is the root cause!
Just as some Galaxy S4, that got screw by Samsung!!!!. Bad weather is coming!
I been adding libraries.ko to mount my wireless hard drive. The libraries do not survive for long and they get purge of \system in short time. New Installed KO's never survive a reboot!
Even compiling the kernel act weird. I can not select all libraries. If I go and edit .config manually, when I execute make, a script revert back what I had change so that the lib.ko do not get build!!!
I have not double check but the wifi symbol at then top keep showing the something is downloading!
This make me think? Did you guys did not forgot to disable OTA updates?
Did you ever get this to work?
I have tried the pit file and different stock versions of the OS but I still keep getting a reset after the Galaxy Tab 3 screen and then it like acts like it's going into recovery and even if i have twrp it'll show it for a brief second and then reboot again.
I am about ready to throw this stupid thing in the recycling bin.
sorry to bother... i just tried to upgrade my Tab 3, and now it is stuck in an endless boot loop.
i've tried flashing my tablet with Odin 3.07 with the factory image, a pre-rooted image and also cyanogenmod 12.1 - all have appeared to be successful, but the result is the same - boot loop.
i've also gone through loading the 3 images on the MicroSD card and installing them via recovery mode. i was careful to wipe the data and cache partitions prior.
still, endless boot loop. i'd really rather not recycle this device... if anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated!
thanks!
just a heads up. i was able to fix my Tab today.
this video shows all the steps outlined. basically, install TWRP, clear all the partitions (on the internal storage), install your image.

Before you attempt an Odin + pit recovery have you tried the following:
1 - boot into recovery and do a factory reset
2 - flash the stock image via Odin by itself (please copy and post the results from the status screen) - then repeat step #1
If that doesn't resolve your issue....
It's very rare that a repartition is needed, as I'm not aware of any roms that muck with the partition sizing/data on the i317/i317m .... but depending on what the status screen says it may be worth an attempt. If you visited the link above, you'll see that I've temporarily pulled the files. I have a new files ready and am planning on testing the one for the i317 this weekend. I don't have a i317m so... if you want to test the file (which was pulled correctly from an i317m and is now sized correctly) - send me a PM.

Which non-stock rom? After flashing it are you able to get into recovery mode? Does this rom by any chance flash a modem.bin?
If a stock rom loads ok, chances are your pit mapping is OK.

Sounds to me like ur definitely not giving the roms enough time on the boot. Some could take 5-7 minutes for initial boot. The fact that stock works and EVERY OTHER ROM here doesn't... leads me to believe this. Patience is virtue

also, someone at your skill level should not be messing with partitions; you are just asking for a brick..
Not to mention the likely requirement of fully wiping the internal storage of the device...
Arbitrarily changing frameworks back and forth without wiping the file structure first will give you problems on boot...(boot loops)...
Additionally....once the rom is flashed...it may help to immediately go to recovery and wipe the device caches and data again...g

hello every one
as the subject says if you soft brick your phone for whatso ever reason( and you are facing Firmware Upgrade encountered an issue on display when turning on,
then this solution might be very helpful for you
i was on 4.3 with MJ5 boot loader, made the mistake didnt checked the phone info and tried to downgraded the firmware caused my phone soft bricked
the worst thing i realized i didnt made any backup( even the EFS back up was lost)
in short the story is..
i asked couple of people for advise,
i tried following to bring my phone back
* Samsung Kies( recovery Modes by entering Device Serial Numbers and Model Name) Result: Failed, this device cant be upgraded/restored due to custom firmware
* Odin: 3.09 + stock firm ware ( 4.3 from O2uk and then 4.3 3 Uk) Result: failed, error message, missing PIT File
* Tried to find PIT File online but there are few places you can get stock 4.3 Firmware Extracted PIT File to flash) tried here http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1927983, result failed
* then tried different firmwares ( European, French 4.3, UK 4.1 with and Without PIT file ( http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/) but failed again, the ODIN 3.09 was not helping out here
I was about to give up here but then steff advise me to try and flash rescue firm ware from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=32273406 link but only 2nd firm ware ( not the 1st or 3rd, ) for some reason the 4.1 rescue firmware link is down,( download from here : https://www.dropbox.com/s/qs9wigflyrwp8ip/N7100XXDLL7_N7100OXADLL4_N7100XXDLK7_FACTORY_XEF.rar)
Android - 4.1.2
PDA - N7100XXDLL7
CSC - MULTI XEF_N7100OXADLL4
RADIO - N7100XXDLK7
DOWNLOAD_N7100XXDLL7_FACTORY (2012-28-12)(
and steff helped me out with his drop box to upload the rescue firm ware ( https://www.dropbox.com/s/gfdh3mgbv34c3ti/N7100XXDLL7_N7100OXADLL4_N7100XXDLK7_FACTORY_XEF.rar )
any way by extracing the rescue firmware 4.1, and doing PIT file flash with Odin 3.09 didnt worked either, so as per advise i changed the Odin 3.09 to 3.07( download from ( Odin 3.07 - XDA-Developers)
i was successfuly able to flash PIT ( done this number of times , at first flashed rescue firmware with PIT File, failed half way cause the PIT was flashed but firmware couldnt went through, then flashed rescue firmware 4.1 alone
stopped half way, again started in download mode and flashed it went through and finally phone booted up)
* NOw the IMEI was gone, tried to enter phone engineering screen to update the IMEI from GPR Service Menu but failed
* i flashed MJ5 boot loader to see if it works fine failed again.
* Finally i was told to flash Stock 4.4 KK which will remove all bugs from the phone and hope fully the phone will boot with correct imei
downloaded 4.4 from this link ( https://mega.co.nz/#!2QRmCbyb!YkWs927BfvYxqL-vJiQHXkshqG3UtqHm4XIDbgLsEK0) fast download, and flashed successfully , which bring my note back to life
everything works fine
* I tried to flash 4.4.2 direct to see if it works( both with Odin 3.09 and 3.07 before flashing rescue firm ware but this didnt work either
* IMportant Points:
Avoid flashing any rom/kernal unless you are sure what you are doing
* always keep a nand back up prior to any flashing
* always read good enough before you flash
* and even if you read enough and something went wrong, use your phone for parts and pay for the charity at the end
i hope this is simple guide for you to sort your bricked phone from the error'' firmware upgrade encountered an issue please connect with kies''

@tnt4ever my problem is this...
Guys I have been experimenting with a lots of custom roms, but flashing them only results in emergency calls only. My imei remains intact but mobile network does not work.
I have tried flashing Wanamlite v3.9, Phoenix 13, Omega 17-18, tried changing modems, ariza patch, restoring efs via terminal emulator and note 2 tool kit.
Right now I am on XXDLL7 and DDDMG1 (patched using Zuluman's modem patcher and it worked!!!)
I have successfully flashed 4.4.2 dn3 v5 with patched kernel, but due to some reasons I prefer 4.1.2, and would like to use any of the four aforementioned custom roms.
Please help. Thanks.

Hey guys, sorry for the delay...
Dunno if the link provided by ibraahim is efficient for anyone having a problem, if it does, it's fine by me, but when I had troubles months ago (because I ticked "Nand Erase All" option in Odin, thus corrupting my bootloader and messing up my phone) I tried all the solutions from this link and, as tnt4ever well remembered to specify in OP, only the 2nd firmware from that link worked. That file was the only one to contain all three required files to re-write the bootloader and related stuff (param.img, tz.img, sboot.bin), along with the .pit file, for re-partition. Ibraahim's file is the one from the 3rd file from that link, so I remember it didn't contain all those files. But, I repeat, according to your phone's problem, that firmware could be just fine to fix your problem. For me, it didn't.
So, as OP stated, the links are not available anymore, but I have the file on my pc and uploaded (again) to my Dropbox, if anyone needs it. The problem is that Dropbox doesn't allow excessive file download and thus the file may become unavilable for download (as it did before). So, the one(s) who get to grab the file, is more than welcome to mirror it.

Btw, tnt4ever: didn't you already have this file, since you downloaded and tried it, so you could upload it somewhere?

Hello steff
Thanks for your detailed reply
As I said I am travelling at the moment
I do have the file saved in my pic you provided and I didn't get time to upload it
Any way I will do this in the first instance this week as I have to travel for work during the week and long week caused a lot of work delays
Thanks for the help but if you can advise where I can mirror it easily would be nice.

@tnt4ever my problem is this...
Thanks.

Hello Every one
link to my drop box in case required

@tnt4ever, I flashed the above ROM but I still have problem with imei.... it becomes 0049×××. What do you suggest now.
Actually I don't want to flash any 4.3 or above Rom. I do get everything working on 4.3 and above with patched kernel and modem. But I need to get 4.1.2 working without tripping imei or getting emergency calls only.
Can you please find a 4.1.1 rom for me. Please.

hello Ibrahim
i find it really funny but to be very honest once you flash stock 4.4.2( download and flash with doing 3.07) then your imei issue will be sorted
i used stock 4.4 for few days then i rooted the phone and went back on latest dn3 v5+ rom
anyway once you got your working phone then you can Do whatever you want ( rooting flashing any rom you wish)
