Flash original recovery and boot and relock..and aflash firmware again
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
And if flashing the firmware doesn't work you make a full wipe in the custom recovery, flash back the stock one, relock and run the ruu again.

Hi there!
I know there are a lots of questions like this but I'm just so stupid. I tryed to flash with Custom ROM with Clockwork recovery while I have S-ON. (My bootloader is "RELOCKED" if that plays some role). Now I'm stuck on the HTC logo. Can you please help me I'm so despered. Thank you.
Best advice runn the RUU to go back to stock, then use the AAHK TO ROOT your phone then you can flash a custom Rom.

Thank you for the answer. Yes,but the RUU uses the adb so it doesn't work when there is no OS. I tryed to mount system, cache and data through the clockwork recovery but the error this time is that the RUU can't get information for the battery and the "Charge Only" mode. So that's not the way.
Did you relock the bootloader manually? How did you unlock it, using AAHK or via www.htcdev.com?

Yes it was relocked using htcdev.com but that was not so important. The bootloader just need to be locked no matter Locked or Relocked. The problem was that I had CWM Recovery installed and when the Bootloader checked every zip (PD98IMG) it was just going back to the menu with no errors. So I flashed an oryginal "Android system recovery (3e)" and the installation began also with no errors.
Ok, so find the right PD98IMG for your device and flash it from bootloader. Doesn't need recovery. You should be able to find links pretty easily in Google. Which country are you from and which carrier?

Thank you. I already did it , but my point was that you can't install PD98IMG without the original recovery.

That is wrong. You don´t need recovery to install RUU's. Those are flashed in hboot. If the file isn't working then or the RUU you are using is not the correct for u or the file is not renamed ok. But again RUU's don´t need recovery at all.
I have several problems. I have htc one v primou cid: HTC__038
First my phone got stuck in bootloop. I had recovery before and wiped everything. But now i dont have and i cant flash it :/
I cant flash or erase something with fastboot .I can only relock and unlock bootloader. When i try to flash via fastboot i get ( Remote image update error ) <- Big problem<- since i cant flash recovery i cant install another rom...
So i found my only option from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1674226 was to extract rom.zip from Ruu and rename it to PK76IMG.zip and put it back in sd-card but i get error (my hboot is 1.18.000 ) and only indian ruu i found on internet was 1.17.0000 there are no INDIAN ruu with hboot 1.17.0000 , i cant find it...
Btw i found right stock indian rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2005968 but i cant do anything with it because i dont have TWRP recovery to back up that stock Indian rom.
Can someone help me about that error while trying to flash recovery ( its not about recovery ) i tryied several recoverys for htc one v from ruu and i tried from indian ruu also but i cant flash :crying: . Is there solution for this problem ? Is there INDIAN RUU with hboot 1.18.0000 ???
Is there a way to downgrade my hboot to 1.17.0000?
Please help

i tried to relock my bootloader on htc one vx. now it says it is relocked and says security warning and only boots up into fastboot mode. tried everything i knew to and it still boots right into fastboot. any ideas?
I think you have to return to full stock first and then relock.

you can either try to Run the RUU which will flash stock rom, or can unlock again, fastboot flash twrp recovery flash JMZ stock Rooted rom then relock
i ended up having to do the ruu thing and it worked. thnx guys
hi,
I just want to ask some noob questions, as I don't play around my set so much.
1) First of all, do I have to be on stock recovery to check for updates also ?
2) I rooted my phone using Hasoon's Toolkit and installed TWRP Recovery (didn't install a custom rom yet, on stock 4.1.1), but made a backup before flashing recovery. Do i have to flash stock RUU to come again to stock, or I can flash the backup I made before flashing the recovery ?
3) How i can find my stock RUU, my CID is TMOB_005.
Regards,
Kashif Rafiq
100+ views no reply, no one is ready to help ?
Can anyone with same CID confirm, whether update recieved or not ?

You can receive OTA updates if you have the following; stock recovery, stock rom, locked or unlocked bootloader.
I don't know where the RUU is for your CID but I'm sure there is a thread with it in somewhere.

Since u haven't flash a custom Rom you are stock, u just need to flash back the stock recovery and wait for tmobile to release the update. No need to relock.
Sent from my HTC One X
I have downloaded stock recovery for my CID (TMOB-005), will executing these commands in fastboot mode restore stock status
fastboot flash recovery nameofrecoveryfile.img
fastboot erase cache
I have stock 4.1.1 rom already installed.

correct
And just to answer your other question, save the backup you made in twrp onto your computer in case you need it later, this is your nandroid. Then if you install a custom Rom and need to go back to stock at some time you just need to flash the boot.img from your backup and then flash your nandroid in recovery
Now go get the cakes
i've flashed the stock recovery, but after flashing when i try to go into recovery it shows red triangle with exclamation mark

is this the stock recovery, with no options of backup and restore (i haven't seen this before) ??? strange
anyone with CID TMOB-005 confirm whether update received or not ?
Nothing yet, we'll be one of the last carriers to get it as always...

Can somebody help me find stock recovery for my htc one x please?
CID : HTC_058
Software number : 4.19.1136.3
Please.. I found so much stock recovery on internet but confused with all that.
Didn't try any of them coz i'm afraid it would brick in case i flash the wrong one. Do I need to extract from RUU? If i need to, how can i know which RUU to download, i mean WWE or Asia or something. Thanks

Find any 4.19 ota file. You need a recovery that starts with 4.19 (any) it's inside the firmware.zip file. Forget about a ruu, there is no ruu available.

I can't find any ota for 4.19. But I found stock recovery for 4.18 here. [http://android-revolution-hd.blogspot.com/p/android-revolution-hd-mirror-site-var.html] This won't work.. right?
You can try.

Will it brick if something goes wrong? I'm still S-ON.
Nope
I flashed the 4.18 recovery instead and enter into recovery but I was very shocked when I found red triangle. I got myself out of this by pressing vol down+power for several seconds. After soft button light flashes, I can successfully boot back into device and apply the OTA update. Volla! Update goes smooth with stock recovery, bootloader unlocked and I am on latest version now. Thank you!!
