I've downloaded this rom
[ROM][4.2.2][UNOFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 10.1 with Android 4.3 Features [03-07]
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2248654
for my Htc Wildfire S, there is an option for applying the electron beam animation (T.V close animation), when i tick the box it does not seem to work, there is no electron beam animation.
I've tried many things like re-flashing the rom and a factory reset however, this does not solve my problem!
Does anyone else have this problem and if they do have they fixed this and how?
Thanks
It probably wasn't implemented by the developer, you can request him to add the feature in the rom

Hi guys I have installed the android revolution hd rom on my gnex and wouldn't want to change it but it saw a custom rom lockscreen picture with a function I would really like on my phone:
With stock when turning the screen on in the lockscreen you can choose if unlock or open the camera but nothing else; I think it would be useful to have also a quick SMS sending option or phone app opening!
Is there a way to install it without changing rom?
I dn't want to use apps like Lockscreen widget...
First, sorry if this should be somewhere else, I tried to reply to a couple threads that related to this but was told that I was not allowed to do so.
Okay, I have been trying to fix this for a few days now to no avail. I have a T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2. When I got the phone, I rooted it, left the stock rom (because I want full s-pen functionality; none of the custom roms I tried provided full support), and flashed a couple jb files to change the battery icon/center clock/toggles/remove brightness bar, etc.). Everything worked fine.
A few days ago I decided to upgrade the firmware to have the multi-window support. I wanted to flash the jb files again to customize the notification bar toggles, battery icon, etc. However, after doing so, I get a system ui has stopped error message and I have no notification bar whatsoever. I tried some of the other jb files with the same result. The only other customizations I can find are supported by Android 4.1.2; however, I am at 4.1.1. I have looked endlessly for a way to go up to 4.1.2 or 4.2 but the only options I see for this upgrade are supported in India/Europe/etc. I cannot find a version to upgrade and stay with a stock rom. I have tried cyanogen which works for the Android update; however, does not fully support the s-pen. So, I'm stuck.
I definitely want to be able to:
have multi-window feature
have full s- pen support
customize the notification bar. (change color, center clock, circle battery icon with percentage in center, remove brightness slider, remove line underneath each toggle button, remove samsung clear notification button - basically the features that the JB themes provided)
keep root access
Not necessary, but would also like to upgrade anything above Android 4.1.1. I also like all of the customizations that cyanogen 10.1 offers; however, the s-pen support is a must.
If someone could help me I would be incredibly appreciative. I would like to know what to flash or what files work. I have used romkitchen before to customize an older phone, but can't find anything like that to keep the features I want. I would be willing to pay/donate if these files don't currently exist and someone would like to offer to make them for me to flash.:fingers-crossed:

[JB] EMUI_Roms (currently 525), (almost) no Huawei Apps - update.zip
EMUI 525:
+ 4.2 keyboard
+ Tint browser
+ File Manager (by ftp)
Stock Cam + Gallery
ADW Launcher (remove the advanced settings Wallpaper Hack> hook, then runs smoother imo)
Busybox (/ system / xbin)
init.d support
gps.conf (de - Pool [? extent to which the GPS is really what brings good eh yes])
sysctl.conf file
SD readahead cache = 1024 (default 128)
Build.prop:
dalvik.vm.heapgrowthlimit = 96
Region = de
Huawei-many apps (launcher, browser, weather, HiSuite, VoiceAsisstent [Chinese only] Backup [was buggy to 519, since not tested], and what I forgot)
I do not have superuser app in it (forget), but (which is actually important) ie su binary, install app from the store or in cwm flash.
Bugs:
° camera is partially only after restarting the phone, I look even if I can find the error. Alternatively take 4.2er Cam, to rename the Gallery2.apk first and then flash the camera as 4.2er update zip. Download Link http://d-h.st/aIy
If you install ...com/3.1.11/miuiandroid_hwu9200_ics-3.1.11.zip or http://tinyw.in/ZtyY
Most if not all of these ROMs will need the corresponding gapps package installed
Gapps ICS goo.im/gapps/gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip
Gapps jellybean 4.1 goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip

Build B512 has a HUGE battery consumption! Same goes with the previous B508, which was also very buggy. I did not find huge improvements from the 4.0.3 build with EMUI.
And there are several general problems, I really don't know if any ROM has solved those:
- there is no sync between the Gallery and Picasa,
- the phone is charging slower than with official builds, plus it gets very hot.
- the weather widget does not get a location
Anyone who does not have this problem with a specific ROM?

Only problem I've encountered was notification weather not getting location on other widgets it works fine the B525 build I found in the German forum is really good no charging issues but if you flash android 4.2 camera on it you get picasa in your gallery . You can't forget these emu I jelly bean builds are all beta so can't knock em really . I'd say b525 is 99.9 % functional , slight annoyances being like you said certain weather widgets not being able to get location but you can add multiple locations manually and another slight annoyance is in the notification panel I get an empty notification at the top which randomly appears and disappears but GPS for all other apps work fine ,Google navigation works and Google now is just great phone is smooth , fast and I'm at 37 percent after 9 hour's 57 minutes of use.
Hi kieranc88
Nice collection thanks.
These are from me.
http://www.android-hilfe.de/root-cu...scend-p1/353966-rom-ligux-4-1-stable-atx.html I dont saw any bug. Very stable. Deep sleep not work
http://pan.baidu.com/share/link?shareid=290163&uk=805681119 CM 10.1 4.2.1 -> It has some bugs, Apollo freezes, camera recording not work but deep sleep working.
You need to install Gapps or location will not work as it uses cell location, if you go to enable location services unless they are installed you will not get the consent warning
There is a new interesting ROM:
Unofficial CM 10.2 (4.3) for Huawei Ascend P1
Are there any roms out there that improve the performance of this device? I plan om selling the device due to it not being able to play 1080p mkv with sw render. Overclock to 1.5 didnt help so I want wondering if there was anything i could do before upgrading the the new ascend
This phone is only qhd and as such will never play 1080p plus I know of no phone that can play a full 1080p hd video using software rendering!

Hi!
I unlocked, rooted my good old wildfire s and installed Crossfire_v1.0 (its based on EU 2.26.401.3) .
Almost everything is fine, but i like to change the font-size for the "Notruf" / "Emergency Call"-Button.
At the moment it's toooo small.
How can i change it?
Thanks

Hello,
What version of Android is this ROM based off of? Are there any font size changing options within the settings menu?

I can't find any options within the settings menu.
The ROM is based on the stock ROM (EU 2.26.401.3)
Crossfire has added some nice features:
- Fully Deodexed
- Init.d support
- Int2ext+ enabled
- Adrenaline™ Engine
- Screenshot feature (use power + home button)
- Advanced Power Menu
- HTC flashlight app & calculator widget
Everything else seems to work near perfect.
Thanks

I'm not savvy with any other ROM other than CyanogenMod, but I'll still attempt to help you out. This CrossFire ROM you've installed, which version of Android does it run off of? Jelly Bean? Ice Cream Sandwich? Gingerbread? I ask this because the three mentioned have different ways of dealing with fonts.

It's based on Android 2.3.5 with HTC Sense Version 2.1
Thanks for your help.
From my knowledge of running Android 2.3.5 (HTC Stock ROM on the same phone), it should include options to change the font size. But I'll take your word on looking thoroughly through the settings menu in order to find your font size settings. With some ROMs, like the one I'm running (CyanogenMod 7.2 (2.3.7)), it may not include it.
I have a program that comes preinstalled on my CyanogenMod device called Spare Parts. Upon searching the internet, I found that it is available on the Google Play Store. It allows me to change the font size of my device. I don't know if it was originally intended for CyanogenMod devices but I recommend you give it a try.

Is it possible? status bar at the bottom? some build.prop tweak? I tried the xposed module but it didnt work
Not till date...long process maybe possible...wait for PA rom..that has integrated way to do it.
developers are like gods
It was possible on Pacman ROM by xenon92. It had PA ROM features in it such as tablet and hybrid UI. But then again it's AOSP-based not stock-based...
By the way. I encountered somewhere that Google removed tablet ui after 4.4+.. just saying for info
