Currently using CM 10.1 on my Note 8.
Running great other than there is not option for Haptic Feedback for the Nav Buttons. (Menu & Back)
Does anyone know of an app that will enable this or give me some options?
Thanks

yesterday i saw my friends galaxy s.when i press any icon on screen it vibrates.is this not available in galaxy w.i am not talking about key board.but talking talking about general touch on the screen.any help?
Our SGW hasn't such a setting, but anyway it is not good for the battery life ;-)
There is no hepatic feedback feature on the Galaxy W from what I know of. Hopefully some developer can add this option.
When I use thumb keyboard I have haptic feedback. So it is possible.

Is that possible to enable haptics feedback when pressing the soft key, mean the "option" and "back" key?? I couldn't found any setting to enable it.

Read again the first post. Question was about haptic feedback in system, not in keyboard app. And yes, SGW has vibration device, so it can support haptic feedback, but there is no support in the system itself, we have haptic feedback only in some apps.

Once again, our SGW hasn't such a setting. See the posts above.
Our phone has the hardware capability for haptic feedback but Samsung has not included it as a system setting. So it only works in specific apps that have implemented it.An example is when you long press a shortcut in the app drawer or homescreen.

So after getting S-OFF I flashed CM 10.2 and noticed that there was no menu present in many apps. I know that you can modify the home key for double tap to show menu, but I'm wondering what the status is on the menu overflow? I know the setting exists, but it wasn't working for me. Anyone have any insight on this?
AFAIK there's an option to enable the overflow dots in the UI settings, or maybe its by the Hardware Buttons settings...

Yeah I enabled the option, but it still wasn't working for some reason. Anybody else have this happen?

It happened on liquid smooth but on 10.2 I had the menu.
I had the menu button show up on mine after selecting the option in the rom.
Just purchased Tab Pro 8.4 and noticed there is no Haptic feedback when using the Back and Recent Apps Buttons (right/ left of home button) There is on my note 10.1 and note 10.1 (2014 Edition)
Anyone know how to enable this? Feels werid cause I usually hit the buttons without looking at them. And k always think I'm missing cause no feedback lol. Any help would be awesome.
Is this happening on your tab pro 8.4 also?
If someone else can confirm if haptic feed back is working for there nav buttons. I would appreciate that. Cause its not for me
What I found is
On my, note 3 and note 10.1 2014 Edition
In settings /device /sound there is an haptic feedback checkbox for softkeys (nav buttons)
Unfortunately on my Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, no such checkbox exists
Anyone no of a way to turn it on without root?

Nope, no haptic feedback on stock keyboard. Nor option in setting to enable it.

They may not have included the motor on the 8.4? Try going into settings and clicking the search button then search for vibration, any results pop up?

You can get haptic feedback on the Google keyboard, so it's there. Also try a long press on the soft keys, it will vibrate.

Hi all,
i have an M8 with ViperRom installed, S-OFF, rooted.
What i want to remove is the haptic feedback when i double tap to wake the smartphone (and in any case where the motion gestures are active).
How can i remove it? I don't use the haptic feedback for calls, texts so is ok if i will remove it for everything not only motion gestures..
Enable haptic feedback for capacitive buttons:
This could work on all Samsung devices, but I have only tested on my Sprint S4 mini.
*This requires root.
*This requires xposed framework.
I searched around xda and other places to come up with a solution but couldn’t find one.
And even after downloading both the free and paid version of xposed additions, I still couldn’t force haptic feedback on my capacitive buttons.
But then I found an interesting setting in ES Task Manager (version 1.4.2).
If you open it, then hit the menu button, then choose power optimizer, then choose the “other” tab, you’ll see a haptic feedback on/off toggle.
I toggled it on and BOOM, haptic feedback on my capacitive buttons!
So to backtrack, I first went to xposed additions and chose both my capacitive buttons (menu and back).
Then I checked the “force haptic feedback” option for each one. Then made the change with es task.
This makes me think that ES task manager has access to something xposed additions does not?
So again, not sure if this will work on other Samsung devices, but it worked on my Sprint S4 mini (on KK 4.4.2)
Hope it helps you.
