today i restored my nandroid backup using CWM and it failed to restore data (system restored successfully).
and now i tried to restore all the apps but its not working.
the app shows restoration completed but i cant see any app in the app drawer.
does anyone know the solution?
Edit:

I backed up my files with TB in ILWT. I then flashed Andromadus A-12 ROM. I then tried to restore files. TB runs through the restoring process and says it "finished restoring", but the apps are not there, and when I go back and check TB, the apps are not installed.
What gives?
Has anyone had any succesful restores on cdma gnex using titanium backup when I tried to restore my apps got an error missing md5 file havn5 tried it in a while but scared to because I would have to reflash a backup
I've no issue with titanium restore. I flash every week since the nexus came out. Brought my backups from the thunderbolt.
Are you backing up user apps+ system data or just user apps?
User + data only, never system apps + data.
Today I was restoring user apps via titanium backup in my new ROM JB Soucery.I selected the batch to restore, after 20% it got stuck.after that I can't restore any user apps.it says restoring but doesn't restore. What to do???
Hi guys, having an issue trying to restore my CM 10.1 backup, everything will restore apart from data, I've checked the MD5 sum and the data backup is fine, I can manually extract the data backup without any issues it just won't restore through TWRP. Anyone any ideas?
it once happened to me, I'm using CWM
I just mounted data from mount and storage then started an advanced restore then data only.
so why don't you try "advanced restore"
if it doesn't work, it won't harm anything
I've just restored my data from the backup using titanium so now everything is recovered. It's just strange that TWRP wouldn't restore it.
Good to know
update to the latest TWRP (if you haven't) , it might be a known bug.. since the data is not corrupted nor missing and the md5 is correct
all we can assume is that it's TWRP fault , right?
anyway, restoring with titanium doesn't restore all the settings if I remember right, or does it?
Hello, I have CWM for long time but that's second time when I used it to restore my stock firmware with apps from a backup made before changing a ROM.
I was using Cyanogenmod 12.1 and before it I did backup of my stock firmware by CWM.
The problem is, when I did restore from a backup, It restored system well, but ... not exactly data.
System booted well, but I don't see any of my apps. Hovewer, when I check in App Manager, I see many apps that i HAD installed but they are shown as 0,00 B weight and have "android" icon.
Memory of my phone is filled as same as when I did backup but apps don't show.
How should I use restore from backup to restore entire system well?
Go to recovery and wipe data, cache and dalvik. Then use advance restore option to restore data and cache.
Now data should work but I recommend using folder mount or sd fix to modify the sdcard restrictions on stock kitkat.
