I know there's alot of ROMs here with hybrid properties, but I've always loved pure AOSPA

How about a CM10.1 without the bugs such as low microphone volume and low speaker volume and make it as smooth and fast as touchwiz. I remember when CM was super smooth now it lags behind.

These are the bugs I found
If you can fix anything here that would be great!
1. Video camera does not work I tried different camera apps also and it still didn't work.
2. If you plug in headphones every thing still comes out of the speaker.
3. The mic does not work in any app except the phone.
I am still testing but that is what I found so far.
Thanks again as always, but are there any 4.2 ROMs available yet?

It's in the General section for now. But it's 4.1 so it probably isn't compatible since the thread title says 4.2+

Same as my 4.1+ package but modified to work with 4.2+ ROMs.
Using it for 2 days working great. Makes the Alpha 2 ROM snappy and smooth.

Pure vanilla AOSP

I dont know about anyone else but I would love to see a pure vanilla AOSP rom. The way google intended it.i guess like cm but without all the extras. I had that on my g2x stock and my s2 thanks to eugene373. So I was hoping some would wipe one up here for us. I would but my skills dont go that far. Just thinking out loud.
There's root box in the original dev section and if you look in general there is a beta super nexus ROM.

I guess then cm would be the best. I mentioned root box because it doesn't have quite as many tweaks as carbon, or Ls, or then other aosp roms in our section.

sweet. I did see the supernexus thread but since it wasnt in dev section I didnt look at it. I will have to check it out after I post. And when you say the dev is compiling now are you refering to the supernexus dev or is there something else in the works? And thanks for all the quick answers.
hey thread is locked it says that there is a official build out. Build 4 but I cant seem to find it in any of the dev sections. So right now I am trying out the test build but I would like to use the latest one. It was a few days ago that the thread was closed. Am I missing it. I checked the first two pages of both dev fourms.

Ya I'm almost positive of that. Its way too incoorperated within the system for someone to make a flashable zip I think at least. I'm guessing there is a ROM out there close to cm with it though. I'll see if there is and where its at maybe get someone to port it over to our device.

Hellfire is based on CM and has HALO in it, I haven't played with that ROM in forever I used to test but there was more development and a ROM I was more into that needed a tester so I jumped on that one instead. I can say his Roms that I did test had very little issues when the release was dropped. Check it out in the Dev section, not original.

Agreed definitely excited as well. Been on this phone since 2.3 and it's amazing the support and dedication the devs have put into this device. 4.3 was merged pretty quickly it will be interesting to see how easily 4.4 merges with all the custom roms. But I am sure given enough time this will be a great update given that it is built to run on as little as 512mb!!! ram I have a feeling KK could be amazing on even our aged devices.
In the mean time I'm happy our 4.3 roms have matured and are virtually a bug free pleasure to run (ymmv). Thanks again to our hercules devs!
