ok ok..lets start by saying, I TRIED EVERY ROM COOK APPS I COULD FIND ON XDA BUT. They just didnt work out for me...!!

I downloaded the SDK from M$ website and did exactly what VivaErBetis said about "How to extract the files from an image emulator".
And thq him for that, because that worked out for me!...
but now..I have the extracted files and I cant seem to convert the files to a .nb file.. again; i tried every rom-cook apps...
can somebody help me out?! If it works out for me I would like to post the dutch wm6 rom here, I guess alot of people would appreciate that..

its just the wm6, u dont have any hardware drivers and oem apps specific to the hermes....
what about the XIP?
the kernel?
module addresses in the ROM?

I too was just learning this stuff about a month ago but the wiki, doing searches on this forum, and google searches helped me figure out how it all works. It's not too bad once you get the hang of it.

Seeing people like this just scares me. We all know that he will find some tool posted online somewhere and he will end up frying his pda. I've been interested in cooking my own roms for a while now, I'm taking it step by step, understanding what I'm doing before moving forward.
You can usually tell someone is rushing through things by saying they have "Searched" the wiki. Its more like Studying the wiki and any forums related to DEVELOPMENT. Thats where you will learn this stuff.
By the way, whats wrong with the Hermes Upgrade Forums where this type of converstaion should be taking place? If you couldn't tell, this forum is where the "releases" and "support" happen for the Roms that the chefs bring to us.

Hello guys,
I recently bought a device named "Zune HD", a windows CE based pda/media player made by Microsoft.
The windows CE version is the 6.0, and I want to upgrade it to WinCE 6.0 R3 .
Its now that I need help:
-What I have to download first?
-Will it destroy my Zune if I upgrade to R3?
-Am I able to do this or it won't work anyway?
-A little step-by-step tutorial should be nice
