Proxy integration for apps for free Internet usage - Galaxy Grand Duos i9082 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

Hi I am an airtel user. I don't pay for data, but instead I use proxy in my Grand.
The speed is equal to 2G speed.
Downloads at 17-30 kbps.
But the problem is it only works with default android browser.
If I get calls or msgs download gets failed. I feel bad when it reach some 500mb+ and fail.
Please help me to integrate This proxy with all the apps (like download manager and Gmail etc etc)
.
Thanks in advance.

I didn't understand that. How is it possible that u use Internet (3G/2G) on your phone but u don't pay for it?
Please share.

It's easy dude!!!!!
All u need is an Airtel SIM with zero balance (or less than 30Paise)
Mobile data activated!

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
(I always used Airtel so no idea of other SIM cards!!!)
Now,
Apn-airtelgprs.com
Port-80 are fixed for every proxy and homepage
All you have to find is a proxy and a homepage!
Google it!
Each month new proxies are updated for airtel (coz airtel finds and blocks the proxies)
Recent working homepage for airtel is 203.115.112.5 (use this homepage coz there are lot of other misleading homepages)
Now Google it and find a latest proxy and fill those in new apn settings in ur mobile
Fill only these leave all the other things blank!
Give any name for it and save!!!!

So this means all my data is being routed through a proxy server. Isn't that insecure? Giving access to an unknown server of your data. Integrating it to other apps will definitely increase insecurity. Example - using FB, Whatsapp etc on a proxy server isn't a good choice imho. You might say they use https etc, but not everything is encrypted, and not every site uses encryption either. If you are using this method just for downloading stuff, then kudos. But logging into sites etc... meh !!
I must be sounding paranoid, but privacy is a big concern for me.
But its good to know that one can use mobile data for free.

Will try once balance is 0 from last 3days trying to make 0 from 172 now 29 hope tomorrow is the day
If works big thanks to you
Am using idea 2g unlimted with 3g service don't know how after 2g recharge 3g working
Also there is idea sms trick but its not free you have to activate 25/100 sms per day pack for 10days & keep balance above 25 always for next 30days balance will not deduct after 10days & pack will be active for next 30days just for 25rs
If you're bsnl bb user using any FUP plan just don't let your router restart when you reach FUP you'll get full speed + make your billing date in mid of month so your FUP will reset 3times every month, 1st of every month , on bill issue date & last when bill payed

Do one thing!
Within this 19rs search as many proxies as you can for Airtel and write it down.
But don't leave searching when you find one working!!
Coz some proxies are meant only for browsing!!!!
And some other for both browsing and downloading!!!
Good luck:thumbup:

i see you are a filipino. and with that globe picture i assume you are a globe user. did you try droidvpn? just download it from market then
1 open droidvpn
2 go to settings
3 change udp port to 9201 and bind local port to 52
4 go back to the main screen and tap connect
5 if connection is succesful you will see droidvpn connected pop up
oh yeah forgot to mention. register your account here 1st coz it requires an account to work. dont worry its free to regisrter and use
http://droidvpn.com/signup.php
Just to add to the previous post, if you are using a free account with Droid VPN you can only use up to 100Mb a day.

sure2x..i can test
nd about the modding browsers you should be specific about that since IP's and ports u have are exclusively for globe and smart:highfive:
im using globe on my sgy so i can browse faster than using smart and its more free than smart.
my dl speed on uc can reach 190kbps
ip and ports are not the problem in modding servers.. we need someone who can trace http:// server inside smali folder.. hard for me cause i dont understand smali codes..hehe...if we find those servers then its easy to inject working fbt tricks for both networks..

Bypass Tmobile UserAgent Sniff and Tether

Found a solution to tmobiles user agent sniffer .
**Must be rooted for this to work * *
Steps:
1. Get TrevE Mod tether app
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=34037922
(you will not get a internet connection using any other tether app while using the VPN app)
2. Get Hotspot Shield VPN
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...id.vpn&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDNd
(was mentioned in earlier post but couldn't get it to work)
3. Start Hotspot Shield VPN and connect
4. Start TrevE Mod Tether app
Problems?
Hotspot Shield does not connect or you get error 1028?
Get Tun.Ko from market and install it
Repeat step 3 and 4
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...1bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5hZWQudHVuLmluc3RhbGxlciJd
Connected device does not receive internet?
In TrevE Mod tether app go to settings and select Device profile and select Generic ICS/JB wanl0 . Now select setup and select Netd-Ndc master . Check box that says send Nets Max client . Check box WiFi-Reloads driver 2 . Check Routing fix .You may need to change ssid too .
I am using Chrome with no user agent switcher and no longer get errors when trying to play youtube videos

Why would you need to keep the screen on . Are you using the tether app posted in step 1 ?
When my phone sleeps so does the tethering app..

T-Mobile can still tell you're tethering via user agent . It's only a matter of time before you get the text or have to use a user agent switcher. If you use the VPN your data is encrypted and tmobile can't snoop through your data .

So what if you set up a VPN through an NAS or router on your home network, and used the vpn software built into the phone. The S3 comes with two built in vpn clients, the native android vpn client, and the Authentec one in the app drawer pre installed by samsung. (does anyone have any opinion on differentiation between the two by the way)
I would test this myself right now, but havent set up the VPN capabilities of my home NAS, and wont be home for several days. But am really curious about this now.
I have in the past used a VPN through my old work work to netflix and hbogo and use my Play Music acount abroad, so I have high hopes for this idea.
Someone please test. I'm dying to know. I'll play and post when I get back.

Apps like opera, dolphin, and other browsers works fine... Play store, palringo and other chat apps says network connection error.... They seem to only recognise the first sim network connection.... But now since I'm unable to connect Internet through first sim it's sort of impossible to connect to those apps.... And u use Vodafone but it's not that because u tried with idea and bsnl too
And I don't understand why network auto disables after seconds of connection..... Should I try unrooting the phone??
Is your csc matched to your region? Sometimes there csc settings that are region specific and one of them is the modem settings.

OK thank-you let me try them... And although I have installed juice defender plus which could be the only one app that can interfere with network connection I have disabled automatic enable and disable in its settings so it couldn't be it and no other app is installed that could interfere with network settings

Does juice defender has permission blocking for other
This works like firewall revoking or not allowing certain permissions todo what they say like improving battery backup , performance bla bla bla
I don't use any battery improver app cause what they say they do we can do better + they eat battery keep running in background
If you follow some simple steps like set wifi setting to turn of when no data is being transmitted
Setting network schedule for nightmode so it will go offline if cell is not used for 30m in night & will work as usual for day there are many grab/google them

Dude seriously..... I just un installed the juice defender as per your suggestion and BAMMM.... my problem is solved... Although I have disabled every setting that controlled network settings it seems that app was controlling it without my permission.... Thanks for helping and a big thanks I was irritated with the problem for two weeks...

In 4.2.2 there is option but you need to toggle every now and then or apps like power schedule ,schemes
They do it better way
I mostly use inbuilt option as long as possible rather using apps

4.3mb ram usage of battery apps not a big deal.. But it saves a lot of battery by switching off mobile data automatically when not in use...

I usually see that they themselves drain a battery a lot by working in background. Switching off mobile data automatically is not a big deal

(Q) free wifi tethering

So I went to the (how to guide) here and it describes how to get it with the wifi tether app and being rooted... well ive done that mate.... and I check my t-mobile account and it still uses my 2.5 gigs of free wifi tethering.... is there another way?

If you already have a plan with free tethering what exactly do you expect from this? If you use data, it's going to show up on your account as being used whether you are tethering or not.
I don't expect anything I just thought the WiFi tethering would show up on on my data plan which is unlimited. My tether plan is only 2.5 gigs plan. It does the same as the stock hotspot tethering. Which in turn renders that app "WiFi tethering" useless. Its no big deal just asking the guide said he could use unlimited WiFi tether and T-Mobile didn't charge him for unlimited use... that wasnt the case for me....

It works for all data going in and out of your phone. And it all depends on which vpn you choose. A lot of free ones slow down data speeds to keep it free. Paid ones do not.

If your with Tmobile... use the my tmobole account app
Sent from my SGH-M919 using xda app-developers app
STEP 1
"STOCK ROM"
-download "1 click tether" from the market...this will force the internal tethering to turn on
OR
Run an AOSP rom, internal tethering is unlocked in aosp roms
STEP 2
once youve figured out step one, you should be able to tether, whether on aosp or tw ,it dont matter....only problem is, tmobile will soon block you because of your user agent on the computer
so you have two options...
1. download a browser on your computer that supports changing your user agent...chrome, firefox...ect...change the user agent to something other than windows...you can now use unlimited tethering on your browser.
NOW.....This will only give internet to the browser, not the computer globally...The only way to get global tethering on every program on the pc you'd have to set up a VPN...via the phone or via pc...VPN's are usually not free thou
My setup
-Running CM10 ROM
-Using the internal tethering option in the rom
-I use google chrome
-In google chrom i use this extension called "user agent switcher" https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/user-agent-switcher/lkmofgnohbedopheiphabfhfjgkhfcgf
-everytime i open google chrome i change the user agent to "safari on mac"
DONE
Yes try vpn hideman.
