Hello guys...
Earlier today, i decided to remove my SD Card when i realize theres a weird hump on my back cover... When i remove it, i was quite shocked to see my battery ALMOST off the Place where u put the battery on.. I got quite scared and imagined what would happen if this continues... (Explosions) Every time, i Force FastCharge ON when i plug on to the wall charger to charge.. Yes it does charge faster but i don't exactly know if that is the real problem or.not... I also wanted to buy a new battery but since i live in Singapore, there aren't as much shops that sells accesories for the Galaxy Wonder. So are there any solutions on how to debloat a battery or smth

how old is ur battery btw? ur phone will not function well and its very annoying, coz it won't last long. the fact that it's already bloated, just replace it asap coz it may dmg ur phone. idk know if it's related to fast charge thing, but same thing happened to my battery a few months ago using fast charge (usb charging only).
google search, there r a lot of cheap battery for sgw but whether its reliable or not is questionable.
oem battery in sillypore cost S$58/pc @ samsung service centre.
i was looking for one a few months ago, found a compatible battery at www.battery.com.sg but out of luck was not in stock.
i think they should have stock by now, they have a shop at sim lim square on the second floor (closed on sunday).
i dun know the price, i presume it will be cheaper than oem and have better power @ 1800mAh. :good:

u have three options;
1) buy oem battery.
2) buy from battery.com compatible battery (fake or not).
3) buy from web site (all made-in-china, some claims >2000mah but same size which r not possible. reliability in question).
your choices, oem or fakes.

Bro, I bought a netbook from Sim Lim and my dad used it for 6 years and we only had to put a reserve battery... I think you are safe. Singapore is a clean country after all. Anyway, the Samsung shops sell the batteries at 55 bucks so I just bought one non-original one from a pasar malam, which is supposedly made to last for 6-7 months. This is my second month using it and I don't see any problems... good luck bro and brofist to a fellow Singaporean...

As I posted already many times. Do not use FastCharge. Those batteries are designed to be charged with about 0.7C max. Which means 0.7 x capacity. So for the SGW this means 0.7 x 1500 = 1050mA max. Faster charging will kill the battery sooner or later.
So yes, it will get bloated also. The same way like stressing it a lot at heavy usage.
And this is also the reason I do not enable FastCharge in my kernel.

When it´s not charging nothing should happen, but if it´s charging and the battery can´t hold it then yes, the battery can explode. It will build gases inside the battery till the case can´t hold them and they evaporate as a big bang. This can even happen after the charging.
Some years ago I´ve seen some pics made by a rather mature man whose phone exploded in his hand. His hand was in half between the middle fingers. The kitchen full of blood. He made the pics with the other hand and I guess he was under shock while doing them, so he didn´t feel the pain.
So better charge it normal. This is better for you and your battery.

I was woundering too. It was not just one pic but several pics. But well he made some and posted them in a forum with the whole story. Just can think of he made them to sue the company he got the phone from in the first place and finally also posted them to warn others to what can happen.
About a week ago there was also something about a girl in the tv news whos smartphone exploded in her pocket due to a overheating battery. The litium burned into the skin and she needs the skin to be transplanted.
It´s simply not worth to deal with fast charging and bloated batteries. Batteries, phones, cars or houses. Everything of them can be replaced but health can not.
I believe phone shop in Johor got selling Wonder battery
UPDATE: funnily, the phone started to give false info abt the battery for some reasons.. Like, when its 65%, it auto shutdown and then i have to start it back up and was shocked to find it 1% and well, shutdown again... Is this normal for this kind of battry?

Please not again about recalibration and /or whiping battery stats. They get whiped on each reboot and so also the battery gets recalibrated. Calibrating is nothing more than collecting statistics about which app you launched how often. The background processes and so on. And this all is collected in the battery stats which gets overwritten on each reboot so you see the current statistics in settings-> battery.

Oh well then your battery is already toast. I´m having here some old Li-Po batteries for flashlights which are doing the same. Charging like normal but doing 5 minutes max. Some even can´t do for just 1 minute. They are just paperweights now.

No that is terrible advice. Charge cycling Li-Ion batteries destroy them, not increase battery life.
@OP: The only thing you need to do is make sure you let the phone charge for 7-8 hours after you put in the battery. After that, no conditioning is required. However, if at a later date you notice your Vibrant is not properly reading the battery (i.e. it goes from 100->90 really quickly, but goes from 90->80 more slowly, etc.), you will need to calibrate the battery to your device by completely draining the battery and charging it. Take note that this charge cycle will not increase battery life -- it will only make your Vibrant read the battery properly.
BTW Would it be possible for you to take picture of how much fatter the battery makes your phone?
Where did you buy this battery from? Looking to get my hands on a good one.

Vibrant BiONYX 3.1/ brama
I got it from ebay and it fits perfect. If you have patience you can order through the seller below. Im in north florida and it took almost 3wks to get to me. Theres also another seller from US but he wants $30 for the exact same battery. He claims that the batteries from china are crap, he is lying. This is the seller he orders them from.

Greatest investment ever. I might be able to take pictures tomorrow. Currently my battery is at 40% and have been running for 1day 3hr 17mins as of this post. And an app im using batteryleft from Eugenes r11 stats time left is 11hrs.
Under battery use through the settings. Displays at 60%, Voice calls at 40%, Cell Stand by is at 20% Phone idle at 5%, and I made a mistake leaving wifi on all day.
Size is really a personal preference. I adds the needed weight to the phone, and makes it extremely easy to hold. The Vibrant with original cover/battery would slip out of my hands when it was naked and the rubberize battery cover solves that.
I use my phone for music in my car and at work through default music app/slacker/pandora and now I can lay my phone on its back and the speaker is not blocked.
Ive had all my friends, coworkers etc look/hold it and they all like the way it feels and that it fits perfectly in your hand. All in all, im someone who is always playing with my phone and now I getting a little more then double the battery life.
My usually day:
20+ 5min phone calls
Playing angry birds throughout the day
20+emails
15-20txt
web surfing/tapatalk/xda app
watch some youtube
listen to music at work/car 3-4hrs
wasnt connected by wifi was on for most of the day
My Main reason for getting the extended battery-3g on ALLDAY
extended battery+r11 great battery life.
pictures, sorry there from my girls iphone4. Bic lighter for size comparison. Most people who consider phones bricks feel like moto razr to me. Not for folks that wear skinny jeans lol. BUt as big as it looks its truly not that bad. I will probably buy an extended battery with every future phone I buy. I was one who always thought ext batteries were ugly but now I am a believer.
If you dont have the patience, this is the same battery but always us sellers have to make a profit. He orders from guy above. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130448289815&ssPageName=STRK:MEBOFFX:IT

Have anyone tried this yet? Planning to get one but is it really 1700mAh... about 20% more than original battery... should last throughout the day

Don't do it. Usually those off brand batteries are complete junk. Even if its cheap, its a waste of money.

I haven't tried the 1700 mAh ones, but I do have 3 of the standard size ones that I got off Ebay for a few bucks each. I'd say they probably have 80-90% of the capacity of the stock battery. I think that's pretty good considering the price. If I needed an extra battery, I'd consider trying it out.
Get a standalone battery charger and always keep one in the charger, so that when your battery dies, you can just swap them out. That way you never have to plug your phone in with the micro usb cable and risk breaking the jack.

I bought those for my first mt4g and you are right, the capacity was only about 80 or 90%. I sold them along with my first mt4g. em2 very interesting find as aware that TB used 1400mAh battery but not same size as our MT4G. Far as stock size battery goes I am aware of the current Mugen Power 1650mAh being better than of that Seidio Innocell 1600mAh. The link you provided is 2x1700mAh for $35 which is still better than current MP1650mAh for $46. Do you have any information regarding the company that built the battery? I don't want to buy 2 as I just need 1 as I don't plan to take off my case to replace it. If you be kind enough to provide some testing for us folks we would be grateful or ill have to go with MP1650mAh as I am not big fan of Innocell.

Well first of all I need detail regarding the battery itself as I want to check the company out. Which would determine the build quality and durability in long run. Far as the test goes stock 1400mAh vs TB 1700mAh I would like for you to first fully discharge it and recharge it so its calibrated. Then have blacklight 100% bright and CPU running highest that you can handle. Have wifi, life wallpaper, widgets on. Then pick a HD video and let it play till your battery runs out to 1% and shuts down. Make sure you record the data along with time for result. When you compare the duration of both B(1700mAh)-A(1400mAh) you will get the time elapsed. I know thats alot to ask but I really do want to put this test and compare it with MugenPower/Seidio Innocell, thanks.

Hey, I realize this is a lot to ask, but I really need some help fixing some things around my house. I have a hole in the drywall in my master bathroom. Could you come to my house in Atlanta, GA and patch it up for me? I'm out of drywall patches, but fortunately, there's a Home Depot that you'll pass on your way here. Also, there is a stain in the carpet in my living room. I've tried and tried for hours to remove it, using everything from the cheap cleaner that I got at the local grocery store all the way up to using pure ammonia, which made me really sick. Do you think you could come over and clean it for me? If not, maybe you could stop in Dalton (it's local, only about 100 miles north of my house) and pick me up some new carpet. Also, by the time you get here, I'll probably be pretty hungry. Think you could stop and pick up some dinner? I like Mexican food. Three beef soft tacos and a plate of cheese nachos would be great! I know that's a lot to ask, but I really do want all this stuff, thanks.
OK, just got the LG OPTIMUS LTE (3rd day) and I have to say that I knew about the battery issue but didn't think it was that bad. I seem to need to recharge it 3 times during the day.
Do any of you have a magic configuration? What settings do you have configured.
My wifi is on when I am in the house. When I leave should I turn it off? Bluetooth is always on as I use it in the house an car. Screen at 50% brightness. Sleeptimer 1 minute.
Also read that with time the battery gets better. Any validaty to this?
Thanks in advance for your help
Yeah man, its not the greatest.. i try and turn brightness down alot while I'm inside. And a Gladi cut diem on game play unless you're beat a charger. Only place i have wifi on its at home. Also, I've heard that I've cream sandwich improves battery life, which Canadians are getting in q2.. So I'm suspecting it to come very soon.

Yes, ICS will improve battery life but until them I'm be purchase a 1.8amp power adaptor and a wall car adaptor at Best Buy. When MugenBattery finally do a battery that is over 3000 mamp I will buy it.
I really am loving my new phone a part for battery life just need to change old habits (had a blackberry that I charged once every 2 days)
Literally same here, i had a bold 9780 before this and i didn't use it much it would last days on end.

yeah agreed, this is the best phone i have ever used, but the battery is a bit anoying, what i did was i bought 2x replacement batteries on ebay, which came with a wall charger for them, so i bring 3 batteries to work every day, the only anoying thing is charging them at the end of the day because i only hvae 1 wall charger, if i got 2 i coulda charged all 3 at once. the other thing is when doing this its smart to calibrate batteries more often since changing batteries in and out of phone i calibrate them all on the weekend.

Go here and download the FAST DORMANCY app: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2021248
After you download and install it open the app, select disable and reboot. It will make a dramatic difference in standby battery life. Only thing is it will only work if you are on stock and not on any of the CM 9/10 variants. Since I downloaded the app I can go all day on a single charge. Good news though you don't have to be rooted.

By right a fat battery is not recommended for continued usage because it is at higher risk of acid leakage which could damage your battery contacts on your phone, as well as pose a risk of potentially exploding although chances of that is highly unlikely. Just get a battery from ebay or local-ebay-like websites (like malaysia we have lelong.com) and order a cheap battery. While waiting for it to arrive u can still use your puffy battery haha

As far I know there is no acid in Li-Ion batteries. But if it´s already puffing and looking like pregnant, do not use it at all. Even not if the phone is all the time connected to the carger. Because it will charge and discharge often, which will make this all even worse by heating up the battery.
The battery is already building gases in it and when it explodes you man not only loose your phone but your fingers too. This happened already to a few people in the past, so this is not just hypothetical. But don´t ask me now to which phones this was related. I just know it were cheap Li-Ion batteries from a yard sale.
Litium is also high reactive with moisture, so it can even burn into you transpirating skin.
So better replace it with a new one. They don´t cost that much.

Actually,I've bought the new one. But, I just wanna use that puffing battery only for wifi or usb tethering, not for daily use. Maybe only used for 3-4 hours. Is it harmful too?. Anyway, thanks for the comment guys.

As has been mentioned before.....DO NOT continue to use that battery......the "puffiness" is a sign of a build up of gasses....eventually this build up of gasses will reach a critical point, and the battery seals will fail. This might mean that the liquid inside the battery begins to leak out, or as honeyx says, it might mean that the battery explodes. In one case the phone will be damaged through corrosion, in the other case, the phone suffers major damage along with your hand. Continued use (charging/discharging) will only speed this process up......so stop using it NOW and throw it away......

If it's visibly bulging, honestly the risk is totally not worth it.
It's a time bomb if you keep using it.

Huh, seems like I must throw it far far away Haha. Thanks guys, it's blowing me up.

Yes do it. The sooner the better.
Btw the battery is stressed more if its charged and discharged at the same time than in daily use. So by using it for wifi thethering by keeping it connected to the charger, will stress this defective battery more than just by only charging it or discharging.
There is nothing to argue about. It´s like pepoluan and keith already said. Not worth the risk, so do it now.
You can´t replace the phone or your fingers for just $10-20 like the battery.
Hey guys. Im just wan to know how much battery use other phones with screen on and using 4g data conection (no wifi). Mines use 1% per 3 minutes of constantly use. A remember b4 it used 1% per 5-6 minutes. Can someone help me knowing others results ro compare?
Is thath consiume of battery is normal?

I can generally browse for "a few" hours on 4G without needing to plug in. I don't pay much attention to specifics as unlike the Note 1, the Note 2 isn't very limiting for me. The Note 1 was awful for needing a micro-reactor in your pocket almost. Do you keep your battery over 90% charge often? It's possible it's getting weaker as it gets older. You can order a replacement battery cheap enough and see. They also usually come with an external charger so you could just swap batteries and go. I do that on long road trips.
Is true the replacement battery maybe hurt the phone bcse they have diferent voltage? I heard that from some guy in yhe shop.

If you get a real Samsung battery I'd think not. Make sure the voltage matches. I can't remember, is the S3 3.7V or 3.8V? I got an Anker extended battery and it improved the battery life immensely.

Here is the stock replacement http://www.amazon.com/GT-N7100-SCH-I605-SCH-R950-Replacement-EB595675LA/dp/B005KEYCNW/ref=pd_cp_cps_2
Here is the extended http://www.amazon.com/Anker-Extended-GT-N7100-Cellular-SCH-R950/dp/B00A0FGQPS
and here is the granddaddy of extended batteries http://www.amazon.com/warranty-ZeroLemon-Protection-Guarantee-Compatible/dp/B00BYEMNA6/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1366142228&sr=8-5&keywords=zero+lemon
It depends on many different factors not just screen on and 4g on. 1% per 3 minutes equates to 300 minutes or 5 hours. I have drained my battery completely in 4 +/- hours time. It's completely normal as I have other phones to compare it with. I have another note 2, 2 galaxy s3, iPhone 4s,5s that I have tested against and they provide worse battery life in same situation.
Not all these phones are mine. I just swap it with family/friend members to test out for a day or two.
For batteries I recommend Anker. I have 2 Ankers for my note 2 and 3 Ankers for my galaxy s3.

Since I use my N2 as my laptop replacement and am on it all day, battery life was a problem for me from the beginning. I found Battery Drain Analyzer helpful. I kept it running for a couple of months and was able to determine which apps consume the most power (widgets, by far). But, after having spent hours trying different underclocking configurations without much success as far as saving a lot of power, I ended up buying three extra OEM batteries. It's really awesome to not have to worry about it. I just keep them in my pocket and swap them out as needed. It's not a very technologically advanced solution, but, it sure is effective. I also picked up this, and, obviously, now, I am never without power. Also, I use this Charger for the spares. It takes a long time to charge the batteries, but charges them fully to 100%, whereas, charging the battery in the phone doesn't seem to work as well.

MobileTechReview does a review of the Zero Lemon. The back case is the only thing that keeps me from getting it. Not that it sticks out, but that it's like a soft rubber. The whole back. The video shows it better than I can explain it.

Think that was the original case they reviewed? They changed it a little bit (better fit) before the release a week or two ago. They are also coming out with a rugged case in about a month.
