Best battery for this phone? - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

So I'm looking for an extended battery. I came across this battery and wanted to know if anyone has tried it?
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B006ZQL6EW/ref=mp_s_a_1_72?qid=1374197486&sr=8-72&pi=AC_SX110_SY190
If not can someone direct me to an extended battery cover like it. I currently have a 3800mah very similar to this one

I found the best reviews have been Qcell and Trexcell for extended batteries. I just ordered myself a 4100Mah QCell on Ebay. Also make sure to follow proper conditioning.
Full discharge and full recharge 6 times. Leave the charger connected 2 hours after it has hit 100 if charging in the phone
Every other time after the conditioning don't let the battery die out.
Charge the battery around 20% don't let it drop that low and it'll extend it's life and will hold it charge
I have that same chinese generic extended battery. I got 4 with 4 covers for 20$ and they are garbage lol. I have had them for almost a year and they can't even give me 6 hours with 2 hours of screen time and thats after a 10 hour charge on them. My stock samsung 1800mah battery outperforms them already so i just tossed them out and I'm waiting on QCell.
Edit: Hyperion and Gorilla are good as well.

Yea I have a Qcell its boss.

[Q]Legit 3500 mAh battery?

I want to extend my battery life. Wondering if anyone's tried anything but the stock 1850 mAh battery? If you have, please provide a place to purchase it. Thanks
JUST GOT ONE IN FROM CHINA...WILL REVIEW IN A COUPLE DAY...IT DOESNT SEEM TO READ THE TEMP RIGHT...trying to kill it now ( i know it doesnt matter but i like to see how quick i can kill it off)
Those batteries are a scam..why bother getting a bigger one anyway, not only do you lose Nfc, the stock battery already lasts a whole day easy
I don't get the problem with the battery, I can watch shows and movies all day at work and still come home with at the worst 40% battery life

I dont use NFC anyway, and its 18 bucks big deal...stock battery might last you a whole day but it only last 7-9, 10 at the most for me.

Innocell 3800mAh Super Extended Life Battery
I have used Seido Cells with G1's before and they were still running just like new after 18 months of heavy usage, twice the battery life over stock. The case looked better on the G1 as the back was flush. On one of the phones the case did crack and break after a 3 ft fall. It was a cheap and quick replacement from Amazon, under ten bucks if I remember right.
The one offered is a 3800mah at 69.99 and shipping now.

I really want a better battery too, I'm waiting for ANKER to make one for the t989. I have no idea how people manage to squeeze so many hours from there phones on this stock battery, but I usually go 5-7 hours before it dies. I'm not a heavy user but I do have my screen to 100% all the time. I don't mind carrying spare batteries.

LOL - what a job
If people are really concerned about hte battery life etc, just get one of those mobile chargers. They will charge everything from laptops to cell phones...they are called power packs.
first link on google...came up with this. http://www.amazon.com/Energizer-XP4000-Universal-Rechargeable-Power/dp/B0029U2WTG
There is a lot of fraud on these extended battery
Yeah i agree, there is a lot of fraud with the battery packs. Someone should regulate them and make sure that what they advertise is true.

Trexcell 3800 battery AND Mugen or Seidio

I have read where many would buy the TREXCELL 3800 battery for their Epic Touch if it were not for the awkward, black, ultra glossy extended door that comes with it...For anyone's info...I bought a Trexcell 3800 battery on Amazon for $18.00 AND a Mugen Epic Touch 3500 Battery DOOR ONLY for $14.00 on EBAY....Got both today and the MUGEN DOOR fits perfectly with the TREXCELL battery !....Also the SEIDIO 3200 battery door also fits perfectly with the TREXCELL extended battery, but I habven't seen the SEIDIO DOOR on EBAY
The TREXCELL extended battery for the Epic Touch has gotten good reviews in other forums...comparable, if not better, performance than SEIDIO. Mugen---$90.00....SEIDIO --$70...TREXCELL--($18 for battery & $14 for door) $32
If someone has previously discovered this, excuse this post !
How's the Trexcell battery performance? Are you getting close to 2x use over the OEM battery? I've heard some of these high cap batteries don't necessarily perform as you would expect for the rated specifications...
Where did you get the battery door on eBay? I don't see one listed. Also, what are people using for a case when you fatten up the phone with an extended battery.
Sorry, XDA won't let me print the link, but here is the header for the EBAY add...but hurry...might not be there long....

TREXCELL came yesterday...here's performance so far...
I was really impressed ..right out of the package, Trexcell gives very detailed conditioning instructions, unlike generic high yields...I let what power it shipped with drain last night, ..charged it to full, and like the instructions said...I'm now trying to drain it dry !...after "1 day 0h 23s" still at 47% after using it mildly, setting everything on that I can (screen, radios, background apps, full sync, GPS ect.) (like the instructions say)..even ran a full length movie on Crackle (that I didn't watch just to drain it)...but it doesn't seem to want to drain fully
The conditioning instructions say to charge and drain 5 times before it reaches its prime...If this is indication of the batteries potential, it will be amazing !!

great info thx.i was wondering tho.are you getting a bad battery life with your original battery cuz i am a heavy user and still get around 10 to 16 hour days compare to my evo which would need charging every 4 to 6 hours or so.
i love the thinness and lightness of this phone.i bought acesoft double battery(1950 mah) deal with charger from ebay the day i bought the phone thinking i would need it but hardly ever used them.
again thank you for the great info and i am not trying to change or bash the subject...
acasalin, are you running off any roms or stock? Also, could you tell us your on screen time with that 1 day, 47% marker?
Sorry...I'm too much of a rookie to post a screen shot, but here are my stats:
1 it's been almost 3 hours since my last post when I had 47% left...now 37%
2 Screen time on : 4:27:18 ...........50%
3 OS................... 1:51:36............19%
4 CRACKLE......... 1:08:57..............9% (movie used to drain battery)
5 System............. 29:42................8%
Total time Since Charge.....01:02:14:43
Also...pure EL29 STOCK... I want to wait till the dust clears to root
Thanks acasalin, looks like the Trexcell is performing to rated spec.
Had Epic S1....and always had an extended battery...When I got the Touch there was no question about getting an extended battery...it was automatic.. The origional battery lasted about 14 hours...nothing wrong with it, but I am use to an extended battery in my phones. The only gripe I had was the thickness of the MUGEN battery and case I had for my old EPIC. Part of that was the keyboard. Honestly, though, the Epic Touch's super thin body makes having an extended battery very comfortable..much more so than the old S1 Epic !!
ok...finally died...got 1 day, 6 hours, 8 minutes and 50 seconds at 1% left right out of the box on the first charge:
Display : 7h:0m:18s......53%
OS 2h:5m:29s......14%
CRACKLE 1h:52m:30s (downloaded 1movie and got through half of another to drain the battery on purpose)..........9%
Couldn't get the other stats...phone died !
Seems like the Trexcell 3800 may be a great battery! I'll now follow the directions and continue to condition the battery by charging and draining 4 more times
well order mine on amazon so i should be getting it monday

Best battery upgrade

Hi,
I would like to know what is the best battery upgrade. Sometimes i need to use my phone for geocashing for more than two days and it is very boring trying to find time for waiting for charging. So I'm looking for best solution like extended battery or something like that. Size is not important for me, but i want something quality. Can you help me please ?
Thanks
Since size isnt a problem, id say.. get the Mugen 3200mah battery.
The quality is good and it has almost twice the capacity of the original.
Official samsung 2000 mah is pretty good. I get about 30% more usage on a full charge.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1649119
I bought a 9.99 3000mah battery from Ebay. Cut a hole in the back of my cover so it would fit. Anyway I'm getting over 36 hours between charge with moderate use. Atm I'm on 55% battery and I'm on 18 hours 16min. Data on. Sync on. half brightness

I run ICS with the samsung 2000Amh battery .. I get up to almost 3 days with 1 single charge and about 30% usage (calls and msg and whatsapp)
ICS alone is worth alot in getting the battery juice up..
I have just bought this 2600 mAh battery, has anyone had this, or one similar? any good or bad comment on it?

well maybe not so radical about the exploision, everythink can explode, check out this anker battery thread, haha

but what is true and so far my experience is that cheap batteries never performed the advertised capacity, i am talking about few dozens i have purchased...
i have only a suggestion: don't use batteries that gives you with the dock of sgs2

I'm using Dragon ICS with Siyah kernel and I'm now on 32% with 28 hours normal use.
What seemed to help is enable and disable airplane mode 3 times in a row. Read that somewhere on XDA and I dont know why but I'm having a better batterylife since
asysa commanded
Custom Rom and kernel and your battery will last you the whole day, and use sreen brightness at 30%

Hyperion extended battery for Galaxy s3
I have purchased a Hyperion 4000mah extended battery for the GSIII and I justed received it today. It is the second I purchase with the original being for my Droid Charge and I never had trouble including for the charge the longest it lasted me was 26hrs on a single charge it's the longest I remember and it was the second charge. The important thing is you must follow the instructions, when you first receive it put it on and use it with the charge the battery already has until it completely drains and then charge it for a full 12 hours. For five consecutive times use it til it completely drains and unplug when it reaches a hundred percent and it will last you for a very long time. So far for my extended battery received today it had 67% right out of the package and it has been in use for 8hrs with my wifi on and used moderately and still has 31% power. One more thing, they come with a back cover for the battery and the battery is actually 4200mah 19.99 plus 5.58 shipping and it ships free if you spend and extra 5 bucks on something else. Good luck.

My Review after 6 months of the 3800mah extended battery with cover

In the beginning it gave me around 2-2.5 days worth of battery per charge which was fantastic. The extended battery weighed about 3x the stock battery for outputting almost 2x. I liked the fact that it lifted the phone up so it wouldn't damage the camera lense (since the lense does stick out past the back cover). It was the same plastic as the rest of the phone so it made the phone look stock.
But after about 5 months, the battery capacity greatly decreased to the point where I was getting about 7 hours until I received the 20% battery warning. This battery was preforming worst than the stock battery.
So in the end I went back to the stock battery. What was everyone else's experience with these extended batteries?
Thanks. I was just shopping for an extended battery this morning. My stock battery is still doing okay after 14 months, but I wanted something to counter the effect ICS has had. I saw Seido's on sale at Newegg and was about to pull the trigger, I'll hold off until I hear more.
you might as well give it a try. I bought mine for around 10usd

Would you mind indicating exactly which 3800mAh battery you are reviewing?
Cell phone batteries and memory cards both suffer from a large amount of poor-product masquerading as quality. Reviews of this type of product are not actually helpful unless they identify the specific product, brand, and even seller.
I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if I purchased an extended battery for $10 and it started to go bad after 5-6 months. As comparison, my stock battery went bad after about 13 months. While paying more doesn't guarantee that you'll get something great, it is generally true in my experience that you get what you pay for.

Sent from my SPH-D710 using Xparent Skyblue Tapatalk 2
Yeah, after three trexcells, two that need to be thrown out because of bulging, I just got a qcell 4100. I know the number means nothing. It said to do 6 full charge and discharge cycles in the beginning, and let the first one charge for nine hours. I'm on my second charge so far. Don't know if it's true but I read somewhere to charge with the phone off. The first charge ran reaaaly long before dying. Don't know if it was bad batteries or bad external chargers, but both my Samsung externals would only charge the trexcells to 95%, even if it was a 12+ hour charge.
Here I am about 4-5 months in on my 3800 batteries. 1 trexcell and 2 generic. Far as comparing to stock? Stock batteries make me sick now. They drain so much faster. The big ones amaze me how long they last. I do rotate the stockers in so they dont sit and go bad. So ill have a few days of extended then stock then extended ect. The performace of extended is so good I now see the big lump as sexy! I did find a great use for my stockers. (have 4) I was in my best friends wedding the other day and with no case and slim battery the phone slid in tux pocket easy lol. +1 but half way through reception I had to drunken walk way out to car and get spare -1. Right now as I set im about to hit 2 days on Trexcell on the newest Jellyverse sitting at 37% +20.
