Introduction post

Hey all figured i would introduce myself, my name is Dennis i am new to android's and have been delving into mine first smartphones guts with the help of XDA, as i am usualy stick to tearing apart harleys and trucks this forum has been of great help to me in customizing my lg optimus one. so thanks to everyone at XDA who post helpful threads and work towards more useful mos of our phones.
i have started putting together a v-twin boot animation and once i get past the 10 post limitations will put it up in the developer/themes section for everyone to enjoy.

[Q] [Request] Hyundai's BlueLink App Modification for GN/ICS

Hello everyone, I'm having issues trying to get the BlueLink app working on ICS, i was hoping someone here might be up for the task. It installs, and works until you enter any character in the password field then it FC's. Any takers? Let me know. Thanks.

Basically, it does remote door unlock, and (soon) remote car start, etc. it is part of a built in paid service. Kind of like Onstar, except made by Hyundai

Think you can make banners like how team kang and cm has? Like one that says "downloads" "features" "credits" etc... If not, its cool. These look really nice and I think you can do it. We can use them in our op's.

About the banners, I think it would be easier for you to make on set that we can use for everyone of our ROMs. But if you want to make one for each ROM, then I would say unicef to be red and black . Thanks for all your doing. We're actually in need of agraphic designer, would you like to join all star devs?

No worries Tmogalaxys2, it's not hard for me to make individual banners. I think it would help differentiate each ROM and it would look visually better aesthetic wise. And sure, black/red unicef coming right up (I'll have to figure out how the black on black will work though, I'll surprise you).
It would be my privilege to be a part of the team. I've had experience being in a team within the Samsung Captivate section (working with the teams that made the old yet notable Apex and Pinnacle Roms). By the way, this is my second XDA account, if I haven't made it obvious already.
I strive for visual perfection when it comes to the whole image of the team, I will definitely not let you guys down!

It's cool that you're working on the team's site, never knew they decided upon that, ahaha. If you need help creating the site, let me know! For the banner, it should be okay to use for the site, just recheck with the boss's of the team. But as a heads up, I'll be making an individual one for each ROM. Cheers!
Edit: If you would like to make any necessary adjustments with the official banner, let me know as I have the raw files. It would be much more easier if I were to modify it for you and the image will retain it's integrity.

Would you know how to link a process from an app to a button to cause an event?
I.e.
User clicks 'turn phone screenvoff after MMS is sent?'
Yes=turn off after message is sent
No=do not turn off screen
When the MMS is sent, the phone turns the screen off. How hard is that to do?

Well, actually i don't know how to implement it because i don't know so much the android sdk nor its source code. After the first search on google i've found a post from stack overflow and i can tell it should be pretty simple, or at least shutting down the screen. For the sending of the mms part i think you need a listener or a notifying system (probably are already present), i need another research... Ok i've found it...
Definitively not so much hard... Sorry for my poor english..

I still use this app for every phone I ever get I I currently use the HTC desire 626s and it's worked fine on it
