Hey. Is there a way to create a duplicate game app so I can manage two profiles? I used to do it on my iPhone all the time, but I haven't figured out how to do it on Android yet. Any help is appreciated.
Btw, rooted and I have a good file Explorer and TiBu. Thanks.

You can do it with TiBu. Long press on the app in TiBu and select "enable multiple profiles". That's the only way I know how.

Hey everyone,
Not sure if this is the place to post this since i guess its more of a general android question but I do have the evo so:
Is there anyway to auto-close folders? So once you open it and get what you want, it automatically closes? I realized it gets annoying to have to manually close the folders as soon as you exit out of an application. I tried searching but couldn't find any threads focused on it.
Thanks!,
Rip
Anyone?

Well after installing the LH9 update, my battery life is horrible like so many others.
I am going to downgrade back to a rooted LG1, and I want to prevent the OS from trying to do the OTA update again.
I've googled and done some searches on here, and read a few ways, but wanted to know if someone can clarify an easy way to do it.
Not to sound cheap, but I'd hate to buy Titanium backup just to freeze one thing, being as I wouldn't use the program for anything else.
I also read about just deleting the AT&T update program. But an not sure the best way to do that.
So I am just seeking an easy way to just stop the update process without having to spend money on apps I wouldn't use for anything else.
Using tibu to freeze an app is the exact same thing as disabling it in application settings. I think what your looking for is device management. I think.

Ok I just looked and it's called "AT&T Software Update" and you can't disable it normally in the phone. The option is grayed out.
Are there any free programs to Freeze apps? I wouldn't mind buying TiBu if I felt I would get more use out it. But for now I only need it to do that one thing, so I just can't justify the cost of it, being as it isn't too cheap.
TiBu is the best $6 I've spent on this hobby.
If your not rooted tibu won't do you any good anyway. But if you are rooted, go into system/app folder and either rename or move the apk in question. OTA no more.

go to system/app and delete wssyncmldm.apk and wssyncmldm.odex that will stop it. I would move them to your sdcard and keep them in case you need them again.

Thanks for the great info you guys.
Is there a free explorer app which will give access to the system/app folder? Or is Root Explorer the only option?
Thanks.
ES File explorer will, just enable root explorer in settings.
When I try to delete the apk and odex through es file explorer it always fails. Anyway to get around this? I'm a n00b.

Make fure you enable root explorer in es explorer settings and make system writable (also in settings).
I'm wondering if anybody has identified how to change the default storage location for downloads. I have spent about an hour searching google this morning and haven't been able to find any solutions. I tried going into the individual browser settings I tried this with the stock browser and with Google Chrome and I cannot find settings within each other to change the default storage location for downloads. I am looking to change from the internal sd card to my external SD card. I'm sure this question has come up for but I have not been able to find anything. Anybody have any thoughts?

That's my problem though, I don't see an option for settings??? I have frozen some stuff in titanium backup so I wonder if I possibly froze something for the settings.
Edit -nevermind, I'm an idiot. I never actually scrolled down once I hit the Menu key. You can actually delete this thread if you want Kenny.
Edit2 - I checked and the selection is already memory card but it is still saving to the internal storage... Any other thoughts??

Did you choose another browser or option once when downloading and that app is now controlling where it goes? Go to every app that you think might cause this and clear defaults in app manager. Then when you download something it should ask what app to use to download. Make sure you choose the stock browser.

I realize they don't take up space with nothing in them, but I would really like to do away with the Movies, Pictures, Playlists, and Podcasts folders that are automatically generated on the SD card.. I've tried deleting them and they just reappear when I reboot, so I'm wondering how I prevent that from happening.. TIA for any help

You cant as they are automatically generated by the system. I am sure there is a way to mod the apk's but I can't say that would be worth it.
Agreed.. It's not that big of a deal at all, I was mainly just curious

hi, think this my first post, and Im not sure if i am in the rite plase..
I just inatall Jedi master 18, custome rom. into my note2 tmobile.
it works great, wonderfull. but I notice, that the stock my files app
is not showing.
and I will like to know, if by any idea, I could get it back..
I really love that particular app. thank you
I do believe there was an option for "myfiles" in aroma installer, but I may be wrong about that. You can just reinstall the Rom on top of itself without losing settings or data. "My files" may not give you access to the root directory, again I'm not sure as I have considered "myfiles" to be bloatware since froyo.
Might I recommend an app in the play store called "root explorer" it is a paid app, but absolutely worth the small charge. "Es file explorer" would be the second runner up, this is a free app but imho not as intuitive as root explorer
