I've heard that someone from Desire X forum (I think it was our lovely ckpv5, but I may be wrong) found fix for too small boot partition - he had flashed Android 4.2 kernel to recovery partition

Yeah I think he used recovery partition to flash the kernel, but it's not a noob friendly thing. Let's just use fastboot boot for the moment, it's better

I can move libs out of the boot.img and add them to the system or data partition to save space in the boot.img but I'll check him out to see what he came up with.

May I suggest adding FIOPS and SIOPlus Schedulers?
Recent development on similarly spec i9000 brought these and they have been a great improvement over ROW.
Uploaded a kernel that can be flashed corrrectly and also edited the link in the op to view the Ironman kernel folder on box.

I extracted Team Franco's ROW scheduler tunables from osm0sis' script and set on boot, made a nice improvement compared to stock.
Beware if you just put the whole script in init.d you might be stuck at boot!

The post somehow failed, so the timestamp (time when the post was posted) has had 0 for value... And as the timestamp is the numbers of seconds spent from the 1st January 1970 01:00, xda app thought it was posted this day
Anyway, great thanks eoghan for your work ! And thanks to crossfire77 too... Will you add YouTube fix for a next version of your kernel ?

:good:
(@OP, it might be a good idea to add this to the first post) There IS ROOT access. To enable root access, go to "settings>about phone" tap "build number" around 10 times. Then go back to settings, and tap on "developer options" and enable root access. BUT for TiBu, you will need to flash the superuser zip from a few posts above mine.
Edit: I will quote the post for less confusion.

My next suggestion is to increase the max clock frequency to 1.5.
That would be awseome

Yes wifi problem is fixed. I think ramdisk swap is require to make it work on dual. Btw someone created a cwm for dual.

Yeah i'd tried them but the wi-fi is error, so I flash fw single and your kernel.
No bugs so far, and it's awesome

Hmm are u saying this is working in 4.2.2?
Sent from my C1904 using Tapatalk 4
.config file missing in the source.. try updating that first
Nope, fw single is the 4.1.2 one
I haven't tried in 4.2.2

KTT is a kernel meant for Xperia M Single Sim variant(STOCK), with Overclock,Under volt, and Lz4 compression.
Lz4 compression isn't basically a compression meant for lower sizes, hence the decompression rates are bit faster than other compression methods, hence the initial boot is fast.

F.A.Q
Q: Do I need unlocked bootloader for this?
A: Yes, you can't do any custom sh*t without unlocking the bootloader.
Q: Is it necessary to Overclock?
A: Depends on your needs, if you want more perfomance while gaming and stuff, you can Overlclock
Note: Kernel is already running on Intellidemand gov, whose max. frequency by default has been set to 1.3Ghz and min. to 918Mhz
Q:How do I overclock/Underclock or change the governor?
A: There are various apps in the Playstore for that, for example CPU-Controll etc.
Q: The kernel is s****g my battery, what do I do?
A: It will only S**k when it is overclocked, underclock it using some cpu controller app.
Q: Which firmware is required for the kernel?
A: 4.1.x
Q: Where do I download this thing!??
A: You can download it from the Post 4 of this thread.
Q: This thing is crappy, how do you even made this Sh*t??
A: IDC I'm doing all this on an old P4 machine, with very limited resources(except my net, which is fast).
So, this can be crappy, because it takes me 40 Minutes to compile one working image. Right?
How do I get this thing working/installing??
Download the ZIP, boot into the recovery and flash it, all the best!

You haz released a kernel too... And im just sitting here waiting for mod to move my thread to orig android developmemt cause I accidentally posted it in general section... Just a question... Does your OC Have weird capping bug??? My max freq gets apped at 972 if I OC above 1.2ghz on my kernel, usually happens when I run a benchmark... Anyway ill give your kernel a try after work and give some feedback as well

Lol, yeah . Co incidence.
That happens because of voltage problem and bus frequencies. Check my OC commit you'll know the issue.

Great kernel.. Noticed the boot time difference of lz4 vs xz compression... Tested it while waiting for my kernel to finish building :sly:

Awesome kernel mate, Really impressed.
But one problem after flashing this kernel I am not able to boot into recovery mode.
is it common? or is there any solution for this?

Not possible, it has recovery too. Doesn't the led light blink with red on phone start press volume up and it will turn to cyan.
Or adb reboot recovery.

Just flashed the Kernel via the CWM Recovery Elixer Kernel had installed (6.0.4.4 if I remember correctly),rebooted and something weird happened.
All my stock ROM s apps (which I had uninstalled using Titanium Backup) were restored as if I had never got rid of them.I had to uninstall them again
and reboot just to see everything is ok.How is this possible? Also right after reboot one of my cores was reaching 1.3GHz while the other was limited
to 1.1Ghz.Using SysTune I lowered the limit to 1.1Ghz for both.UV seemed to work ok,at least according to SysTune.

Decontinued because i retired from development.
I present to you my own kernel which has been built with many optimizations and tweaks. This kernel will work ONLY on Marshmallow roms(Not for stock roms) only. The main aim is to provide a stable kernel with optimizations.I Had started this project initially for condor, As otus and condor are using same sources thats why i decided to post it here as it will work otus too
I hope you all will like it
Kernel Features :
- Updated to latest Samsung Sources
- Compiled With Custom Uber 4.9 Toolchain
- Using Latest Kernel 3.4.5
- Additional many optimization flags
- Tuned governers
- Compiled With Cortex A15-A7 Tweaks
- ARM v7 Optimizations
- Optimized Arm FLags
- LMK tweaks
- Enabled pipe flag
- Added Conservative
- Added Alucard
- Added Zzmoove
- Permissive Selinux (some apps need it)
- Kernel Adiutor Support
- MultiCore Power Savings

F.A.Q. - Read this before complaining!
1. My phone exploded, HELP!
A: I don't answer to problems without a log. The log file is in /proc/last_kmsg. Paste it on hastebin.com and link it on your post. Logcats are useless for Kernel purposes, don't bother posting them.
2. This kernel works on Y or X rom?
A: Works on all Lollipop Samsung Based Roms!
3. OMG BATTERY SUCKZ, ITZ DEAD IN 45 MINUTES, HELP!
A: As you can imagine I don't build kernels to decrease battery life. All the battery life problems come from your apps, either Facebook, or Maps, or some Location Service being enabled etc etc. Check your wakelocks and fix them, the kernel is not responsible for them.
4. How do I flash this?
A: Read the OP, theres a reason why I added instructions on it.
Anyone that can help me add Synapse support to this baby PM me
i will test ,just need to flash in recovery and nothing more ?

IMO heat increasing while charging is not important as long as device stays cool when NOT charging.
And wolfson sound control would be very nice to have in this kernel. Like voltaqe did. It had a hardware equalizer in Synapse app.
I use my device daily and stability is very important for me. If it is stable enaugh to use daily I can try it and report. I'm using latest Octane rom.
Thx for awesome work. Keep it up!
