Hi, anybody knows of an app to turn the screen off and save battery whilst recording, or any way to do this? Thanks.
Bump!
This would useful.

You could just use screen filter in combination with tasker. I created an task witch fires the camera and screenfilter.

If you or someone post your request on XDA then is that called begging ?
And if it gets fulfilled then can't you just take 1KB of your bandwidth and thank someone.

Is it possible to get the Touchwiz gallery app?

I am currently running RootBox as my daily driver. Stock Android is truly amazing, only thing I missed from Touchwiz was the native gif support for the gallery. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the gallery app? Or a really good alternative to the native gallery app with gif support?
Thanks a bunch!

Well bad news is, Since Rootbox is AOSP/CM based, the Gallery App from Touchwiz will never run properly on it. I am looking for other Gallery Apps that do have native gif support.
I cant seem to find anything. That would be something awesome for a developer to create.

Video Preview SnapShot?

On stock ROM when playing a video using stock gallery there was an option where u can pause the video and take a snapshot of the video.
I'm on wicked and it does not do that.
U can do it WHILE recording video but not WATCHING the video.
And I cannot screenshot through home and power cause it locks the video.

Try Here ..I have used it on Deodexed and odexed ROM
Always do a Nandroid Backup before doing any mods or flashing

Are you using any camera or video mods?

What about the camera? If you're using something other than the purely stock, md5 cam, it may not have the ability.
