Porting ROMs from Qualcomm SoC to Qualcomm SoCs are relatively easy. But porting from there to Tegra is a whole different thing, so don't get your hopes too high. Even One S has working Sense 5 port.

No not really. It is working very good at the moment and I think they are using the n7 image anyway. Which should be better, considering it also has a tegra3 processor

true, just thought that maybe some phone images rather than tablet might help. on 005 trip right now and its flying.

I don't think your supposed to post this here, but there is a post somewhere in the general section for One V talking about it.
On a side note: A lot of people, I believe at least, are waiting for it to be port to a device with a "not so different" screen then ours or more similar hardware.

HTC wont be releasing an official JB rom for the OneV but eventually, they will release something similar enough that we can port. We have no hardware limits, like the wildfire S does/did so the sky is totally our limit
The one x+ shipped with sense jellybean I will try to learn ROM porting this Christmas after I learn kernels

I hate sense - it looks ugly and old fashioned! But the camera would be welcome.. I miss it.. the one on PA ( and I guess all JB roms) sucks..

can somebody get a full dump for it? some apps like camera, calculator, phone etc. works but iida home doesnt work. it's based on sense so i think we can port it.

Its not Htc. A phone company named KDDI made a cooperation with HTC and they used sense. And its really nice. If you need lib files I can get it from EVO section.

this is NOT the new htc ui. this is a carrier-specific ui from a japanese provider. the new htc ui (sense 5) will be the ui auf the m7 (if it will be called like that)
Still, if people like it, someone can try to port it to older HTC devices.

Its hideous why would you even want that on such a beautiful device, when you have all these different roms in the original- android dev sections ?
If I could do it myself, I'd have it done already. And someone taught me that you should never settle enough

Probably. This is just my opinion here but why put all the time and effort into porting it from a completely different device when HTC are working on bringing sense 5 to our one x.
What would make sense to me is that devs will wait for a leaked sense 5 base for our device then work from that

That's the theme obviously. Don't know if there are any Sense based roms, seems unlikely.
Well most of the non-HTC phones don't have custom HTC Sense UI...i think that they don't share the sources and codes...

Ha ha. I was wondering how long it would be before this thread popped up. Ever single device that doesn't ship with HTC Sense must have one. I'm not sure why people don't just buy HTC phones if they want sense so badly. I'd be the first one to admit that sense is the slickest ui overlay out there but it's just not feasible to go porting it to other devices. It's closed source and just too Damn hard to do.
