OEM charger - Galaxy S III Accessories

Hello,
My original i9300 charger suddenly stopped working, and I searched in eBay for a replacement one and I saw some chargers that look identical to the original, but also very cheap. My question is, except for the risk of the charger not to work.. can it also ruin my s3? I mean , it looks the same, but are the inner components actually different and dangerous?
Thanks

Can be.
Check for feedback. Lots of knockoffs out there.
This one works great:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005CG2ATQ/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Will even charge a tablet. Up to 2.1A output.
For $9, a real good piece.

Are MHL cables basically the same??

Hi guys
I seen these cables as cheap as 5.00 up to 30.00 and up for this adapter
So did anyone try the cheap ones and do they work just as good as the Samsung adapters???
I find no difference. I bought dealerextreme.
Sorry for my english.
no problem thx
It's a standard connection type, so they should all be the same (although manufacturing quality may not be the same on some of those cheaper ones I guess).
i bought one at monoprice and the screen constantly flickers from the note. ive heard others say the same thing and that the official samsung mhl adapter does not do this. any truth to this?
I have a few HTC chargers at home and a car charger none of them work on the note.so even though the port may look the same there seem to be some differences.the same might apply for MHL cables as well.
On ebay there are some cheap adapters which described as "genuine" (search f.e for item 120834740772). Is it really genuine Samsung?
Has anyone bought and tried it?
I bought this:
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/samsun...-galaxy-s2-i9100-i9188-i9000-more-black-95031
Works fine for me.

chargers are a different entity, they will give a specific amount of current out so i wouldnt expect the mto charge other devices

Don't buy those. They are very bad quality, USB connector broken off. They are either Samsung QA failed item or knock off. The seller trying to trick you into believing it's OEM with packaging. Stay away.

Yes, I also thought there's something wrong there.
Too much to be be truth.
I got a cheap one and the screen does flicker to white noise, for a couple of milliseconds every now and then, so basically works perfect.
I bought a $10 one from amazon (ASIN: B005SV08SK) and it seems to work good. It came with an extra usb cable to power it too.
I'm glad I sold mine that came with the 4 infuses on Ebay back when we bought them. They were going for big bucks and I made out like a bandit

eBay batteries for GSM. May have NFC?

For my Galaxy S Captivate I had a wall charger of the same brand shown there and it works great.
Batteries were also a part of a package I got from eBay and they were perhaps 90% capacity as the battery that came with the device, so not so bad. I have swapped them often rather than hooking up the charger daily.
The ones at the links are shown to have NFC on the batteries, but its not in the description. Anyone ordered these and have tested?
Looks promising....but there's only one way to find out....

Wall chargers - anything special between different kinds?

My chargers are all ripped somewhere and not charging right so I'm going to buy a new one. Besides the amps, are there any difference between chargers? I was told to order an HP 2.1A off Amazon but my gut tells me to get a Samsung one. So if there's any special or good wall chargers that have the usb cable someone let me know, thanks

i'd suggest buying an original samsung one for your device
better safe than sorry
The little samsung brick is 1amp. You can probably get one for $5.
Is getting a bigger amp one better or will it just overheat the phone?

it charges ridiculously faster but will over heat the phone too much
So I might as well just get http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0051ZJA64 ?
I was looking for a good charger with a long cable, this one says the cable is pretty short
My suggestion is to buy chargear and long cable separate. I think 6 feet is the longest microusb cable I have seen
Make sure it has data transfer capabilities. Although most do I have gotten one in the past that was a charge only cable.

I've used generic charging cables for YEARS with many different types of cell phones and have never had a problem. I think I had a charging cable fail once, but never any damage to a phone. I always go with the cheapest ones I can find.

I too use generic chargers and cables. As long as the specs of the stock charger are met (voltage and amps), you should be fine. I usually get my gear from monoprice.com. Their stuff is very cheap and I haven't had a problem with it [yet]!

Could you give me a link for that please? I can't seem to find it for that price anywhere. You're talking about the external samsung charger right?

Yep they are all over amazon, just get from a reputable seller as some are fake. I bought some batteries from this seller in the past and they have it for $5.50 http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Travel-Charger-Detachable-Charge/dp/B006YCORR0/

Ah for some reason I misread that and thought you were referring to an external charger where you insert the batteries into. My mistake but I was looking for an OEM charger cable also though, so this works too lol. Thanks
I had external charger but its not oem just the really cheap black one with the red/blue light. Worked fine for me.

Does it work well for extended batteries? I have a Qcell coming in this weekend and would love to have a good working external charger for it.

3rd party compatible charger

Guys
After having the watch for a while
Any compatible charger recommend?
Not over heat? Works as the original?
Apprieciate your answers
Thx
So, I was able to just toss it on one of my Qi compatible chargers I had and it seemed fine, I didn't notice any overheating or anything, I'm pretty sure all the Qi chargers charge at about the same power level.
Well you're wrong there are qi chargers which are not compatible you need to read some posts about
Please reply after usage only,

I did use it... Would you like a picture?
It is possible that some of them don't work, I didn't try all of them... I can always post what worked for me, I'll have to look it up, got it a long time ago through ebay since I used it for my nexus 5.
That said, the 'approved' chargers aren't really that expensive anyway and can be purchased from any best buy.
Ok so what charger you used? Not expensive??? 40$?

The one I have is a no-name brand one I got back in June 2013.. This one looks like it:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Qi-Wireless...l_Phone_PDA_Chargers&var=&hash=item2a44915bdb
I also noticed though, if you feel more comfortable with a product that they advertise works with moto 360 (again, I'm not sure why one wouldn't and I hadn't heard of certain ones not working), if you search ebay for 'moto 360 qi charger', you'll get a number of chargers in the $20 range, like this one:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Qi-Wireless...l_Phone_PDA_Chargers&var=&hash=item3398079e15
I can say that the Nokia D900 and the Choe Wireless one from Amazon work just fine.
Just get this. Works great.

Loose magnetic cable

Hi.. i recently bought a magnetic cable from an local online store for $5.5. It said to be original from sony.
But the magnet is not so strong, so it's easily loose whenever i pick up the phone.
Does the original one fits and tights properly? I think mine is not.
How to differentiate the original or not?
Thanks. Please share your experience. Or maybe if you have 3rd party cable, can you recommend me a good brand which is not so expensive?

A cable with "Fifa World Cup Brasil" - themed box and when you open it, there's only a cable inside and nothing else? It's a fake.
There's no original magnetic cable, especially from Sony, every single one advertised as original... just isn't.
Magnetic port was originally designed ONLY for a charging dock, like Sony DK48, if we talk about the one compatible with Z3/Z3C.
I have one, recently bought it and I'm pretty satisfied. But the charging itself is slower, compared to the "traditional" - through microUSB. But, well, I just wanted not to open these frustrating flaps and I only charge the phone at night so I don't give a damn.
But if you still want a magnetic cable, there are a plenty of reviews of magnetic cables on YT.
I personally dropped the idea of buying magnetic cable only because not all of them are sure, so I bought magnetic charging dock.
@romcio47. Ah okay.. exactly like that..
How do you think about non original charging dock? It costs $9 in that store, much cheaper than original. Do you recommend this?
I'm thinking about, whether cable or dock, it's just a copper wire to distribute electricity..lol. can it be dangerous to use non ori one?
Not in case with charge adapters, the non ori one seems not stable.

I don't even know if I have an original one. It has Sony logo, it looks like an original one, works perfectly good, fits well but I bought it without the original box, it was sold -40% of original price!
The charging dock deliveres different voltage and amps than the charger itself due to a little circuit inside. It deliveres 5-9V DC and AFAIK 1.8A. There might be a danger if you use non-original one but as I told - I'm not even sure if I have original one but it works flawlessly

As it has been said, there is no original cable. Just the DK48 dock for about 18€
I also bought a cable connector and the magnet fell out after 10 minutes.
I suggest you get your money back or have it replaced by a working one. Better get money and buy a dock.
The fake dock i bought works flawlessly.
I think that Magnector-X-202 could be a Good cable
