Long story short I started off on EK02 and used stfubs methord to root el29. Till this fay I haven't tried ics but I noticed that when I pair my jambox it automatilly connects to the phone as if it's on a call and doesn't stream audio. The only way to get it to work is to make a phone call or just uncheck phone audio under bt settings and just leave media checked. I used thr ek02 no date tar on odin and it unrooted my phone w/o a problem but even on stock el29 the problem remains. I'm on blazer 4.1 and I ttied everything to my knowledge and I still have to use that work around. I also once tried to edit airplane mode to leave bt on but that didn't work and that was a long time ago. Anyway, can anyone please tell me how to reset my phone completely ? Thanks guys
Oh I also tried this “rm -rf /data/misc/bluetoothd/*” but nothing

No problem. Have you tried using sfhubs one click el29 restore? If not give that a try, that's how I go completely back to stock. If you also want to unroot, use sfhubs auto root package. There's an option to unroot in that. All of that can be found with a search. Hope this helps! If u have any questions, feel free to ask!

Okay. I'm real sorry but I dont know how to reset the phone further than that, i'd be surprised if there were. If you dont find how to reset it the way you want, i'd recomend getting it replaced, especially if you have tep.

After using the one click did you do a factory reset? That's about the only thing left to do if you're back to stock. settings/privacy/factory reset
All the system software is reset using that OneClick ODIN pointed to above.
The only other things that might affect your system which you could reset are your Android user data (user installed apps, contacts, calendar, etc.) and NVRAM.
If you want to reset Android user data, do a menu->settings->privacy->factory reset
If you want to reset both Android user data and NVRAM do ##786# reset from the dialer (you'll need your MSL, type getprop ril.MSL in an adb shell)
If you want to reset just the NVRAM do ##72786# reset in dialier, need MSL as above.
These won't reset your /sdcard, but your /sdcard shouldn't be causing issues in this regard. You can just remove the files by hand in the /sdcard if you want to clean that out also.

I've been rooting for the past 4 years, so I'm not a COMPLETE idiot. But I have no idea how I did what I just did. (Well, I do, but I'm in denial
I've used exhange for work email for last year and a half. Over this past weekend, I couldn't get in to email, and kept getting a popup to encrypt. I figured I had to, to get to my email(and probably so). So, I did it. And then realized I couldn't get into Recovery. In full agitation mode, and while in recovery, I fruitlessly tried wiping, and just as fruitlessly, tried to get to my data to try and just flash a new ROM over it(couldn't do either, because of the encrypted data). SOMEHOW, I freaking managed to format system by the time I was done.
SO, in summation- I can get to recovery, can't restore a backup, can't get to my data, and can't get my phone to boot.
What the crap do I do now? From what I've read, it would appear I have to unroot and flash a stock/unrooted image, is that correct? Will I wipe out all data on the phone in the process? Can someone push me in the right direction for the easiest way to do it? (keeping in mind, can't get my frigging data, nor can I mount).
Oy Vey.
Many thanks in advance!
I think you should download a stock image from google at https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images and just install it. I assume you can still get in fastboot mode. Of course you will lose your data, and I don't think you can omit flashing the userdata because I think you will wipe the encryption salt. I think someone with more expertise should answer this.

You could try flashing TWRP through fastboot. I think it has support for decryption. I'd look it up first though.

+1 on TWRP! Back from the dead. GREATLY APPRECIATED!
Now on to to this freaking pesky encryption. What a mistake.
At least now I can copy my data off the phone, then wipe/revert to stock to get rid of the encryption(I hope?) then re-root.
I rooted well before the Galaxy Nexus Toolkit came out. Assuming there's a one click(or multiple clicks ) for unrooting and rooting?

You could just flash the factory images, flash recovery through fast boot afterwards, and flash a superuser zip if you're gonna run stock rooted or just flash ROM of choice.

Hello.
I want to restore my friends galaxy s2 (t989), but no matter what I do it will not restore. I tried odin and I tried flashing a different rom through cwm recovery, but everytime i boot it up after restoring it stays the same way. Meaning that all of the app, settings, photos, etc remain on the phone. As if I didnt even try to restore it. I am guessing it is a virus but I dont know how to remove it Another hint that it is a virus, every time i remove or install a new app from the play store, when I reboot the changes are un-done, meaning that the apps that I removed come back, and the apps that I installed are gone. It is almost as if it is stuck on a state and keeps reverting to it after every reboot. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks
Try doing a factory reset in the phone settings then go into recovery and wipe as if u are about to flash another ROM. Manually put the phone into download mode and try to restore from there

In recovery go to mount and storage section. Then format data, system, and cache. Then factory data reset. This will fix it. The same way you format a sd card and it wipes it clean thats what happens when you format data, system, and cache.

Thank you guys for answering, I tried both methods but neither worked. After some more research I found out what is causing this to happen. Apparently the internal memory of the phone is stuck as read only, I don't know how he did that. While I am searching for a way to make is read and write, I came across this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2025475 but it is for the skyrocket and there was no solution. However, I also came across this http://androidforums.com/incredible-support-troubleshooting/347685-internal-phone-storage-becomes-read-only.html for the HTC Incredible, but to be honest I have no idea what he did and whether or not it will work on this phone. Do you guys have any idea how make the internal memory of his phone read and write instead of read only? Any help is appreciated thank you.

Im bad at explaining stuff so let me try explaining it a different way.
Like I said, I want to change the rom on my friends phone. I have a fair amount of experience in doing this since I also have an s2 running jedi knight 6. As usual, I would reboot into recovery, wipe system/factory reset, wipe cache/dalvik then install rom. This is where it gets weird, after I boot up the phone, it goes back to the way it was, as if I did not wipe anything. I even tried flashing a completely different rom and I even tried restoring it back to stock rom through ODIN nothing happens. Also, the mount toggle in root explorer is only for the root system, not the internel memory of the phone. Thanks for the help though.
Ok use titanium backup. Two options guaranteed to work. Find the wipe all system and data option use that. If that doesn't work find unintegrate system dalvik option and use that. One these should definitely work.

Wipe data/Factory reset. That will format all the data. But not the sdcard.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA Premium HD app
before doing this the adcard was not accessible, hence I read to reset then phone to stock would correct the issue of the sdcard, it doesn't.
The sdcard is still inaccessible.
What I need I think,
format all back to stock with all wipe and reset/restore.
How to accomplish this?

Thanks for all, but I guess I knew that, my situation is I couldn't access the internal storage of the phone and all factory rests and revert back to stock wouldn't give access to the 'internal storage' nor could I mount anything using CWM, TWRP or via adb.
Eventually I used WUGFRESH SW and vola. solved.

Stock recovery doesn't have ADB acess enabled. You need either to sideload stuff ( 'adb sideload' ) or boot a custom recovery.
That said, dont open 2 threads for the same issue. So many threads are essentially the same and its almost impossible to make sense of duplicates. Reported.

I flashed an AOSP Rom (SuperNexus) on my LGOG. Now when I try to flash a Stock (ZVB) based ROM, my phone reboots every time data connects. I tried Stock Rooted and Lifeless. The ROM's will flash onto my phone, but I can't get any data.
I tried installing LGNPST, but every time I connect my phone and open the LGNPST software I get a message that LG USB/Parallel dongle is not detected. I flashed back to Super Nex and my connection is fine.
And I am re-flashing, not restoring a backup. I ran a backup in TWRP before I flashed Super Nex so that I could get back to my Stock setup, but TWRP can't see anything to restore.
Ugh

sounds like you're having similar issues as bmp7777, have you made any changes to your storage? as in the whole sdcard0 stuff? are your backups stored in sdcard0 ? when you flash a aosp rom it changes the way your storage is set up make sure you put your important stuff on sdcard0

Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
This happened to me a couple months ago.
Easy solution:
Go to TWRP -> Wipe -> Advanced -> make sure you wipe all four options data, dalvik, cache, and system.
When you factory reset you only wiped data, dalvik, and cache. You forgot to wipe system, then you can go back to flashing normally.
Dont worry this wont wipe your SDcard.
Well I ****ed up. I formatted the data partition. I am now hard bricked. No recovery, no boot, nothing. glad I purchased that insurance.

Are you actually hard bricked because at this point normally I'm pretty sure you could just LGNPST back to stock? I mean I've wiped everything before to rule out dirty flashing related bugs on ROMs and I don't think TWRP actually touches any of the really critical low-level files.

I had the same issue with LGNPST. The solution is very simple. Uninstall LGNPDT completely from your computer. Go into start-computer-c drive and delete folders labeled LG electronics off of there and inside program files. Then reinstall LGNPST but right click the .exe file and select install as administrator. This will solve your issue and flash back to stock. Make sure you follow the normal process of selecting the .dll and .bin files.
Let me know if this helped.
