I cannot get this to finish setting up in the default email app. I'm trying to find something that syncs with my university's email/calendar. But the default email won't even load my account.
Are you sure your server settings are correct?

Had anyone tried this app? I've installed it and it's bloody slooow and crashes all the time. It has a nice UI though. I wish yahoo can make this work properly.

No I don't see the point when samsungs email app does them all anyway
I actually can not setup my yahoo email account on Samsung's email client. There's always an error connecting to the server, or wrong username/password everytime I try to setup my account.

I need to add my email address for my college in CM6 but there isn't an option to do so. I can set it up OWA method but I don't have the options.
I go to Settings, Accounts & Sync, Add account and only see:
Twitter, Exchange, Facebook, Google. Where did the option for "Other" go? Any workaround?
Have you tried k-9 mail app for non gmail accounts? Avail in the marketplace!

Set it up under exchange then for the server use the link you go to to access the email ( without things that come after the / if there is one) and for the domain put the schools website

The domain would be the website I go to check my email correct? I don't think it's the school website.
the domain would most likely be the suffix of your email address.
it is possible that you login with a domain name other than the email suffix. however, if you're looking for the 'other' to set it up, then i'm pretty sure you already have the domain, user, server, etc.
email: [email protected]
domain = mydomain
server = email.mydomain.com
credentials: mydomain\me or it might be mydomain/me /shrug
Thanks I got it to work

Does K-9 have push mail?
You can read the description in the Market. Setting it up exchange worked fine for me as long as you know your login information and the school website.
Hi,
Is it possible to set priority for outgoing mails? I couldn't find it...

There is no way to prioritize outgoing within the gmail app, it also doesn't work with the stock mail client.
Maybe another app like enhanced email or k9 is capable of this?

I haven't tried them yet but it should be. So, does gmail have priority when it is using on web?

I never really thought about whether the gmail web service offers to set an e-mails priority. Just checked though and it appears that you simply can't, there's no option to be found.
Also, gmail appears to delete/disregard incoming mails priorities, an email send via outlook exchange arrived with out any indication for its high priority.
This probably also rules out the possibly to get around it with any other app.
What a strange! Gmail app shows priority mails as a folder but gmail doesn't support to send priority mail

I was wondering if there is any way of making the stock mail app to receive push notifications from any imap server.
If I configure my professional mail account on the stock app it needs polling to check the server, what I guess consumes much more battery. If I use k-9 mail or aquamail it works perfectly (selecting 'never' on server polling), these apps doesn't need polling, the message is delivered (pushed) instantly as received on the server.
I can use any of these apps, but I'd like to use the stock mail app if someone knows how to enable this feature on it.
Thank you.
I didn't found a solution and I finally ended to use a third party app: MailDroid.
It's the best in my opinion and I also use push IMAP with it.
Stefan.

So I send a lot of emails on Craig's List using my Gmail account. For some reason every email address I send an email to get captured by Gmail, and somehow ends up in my contacts list, and gets downloaded on my phone every time I sync after installing a new ROM.
Any Gmail experts know how to prevent this from happening?

I'm def no expert on that but seems like its more likely a setting in your gmail than your phone. Log in with your computer and look through the settings on there.
