Hi all,
Thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39156703
I found this thread about an audio enhancement app which, from the screenshots, looks totally awesome. Has anyone tried this on the N4? And how does it stacks from noozxoide?
Thanks

but that does not mean that it does not work,. coz i'm really enjoying the enhancements on my n4.
Its amazing im currently using it, to install you have to install the cortex A8 driver and not the A9

Are you sure it's A8...? S4/Krait delivers between A9 and A15 performance.
Edit: A9 driver also works.

Dev recommend A8 for N4

I love it. I think that Viper pairs very well with the Nexus 4, and really brings out the potential in the phone.

+1'ing the recommendation to use A8 as well. Not saying that the A9 won't work, just saying that the developer recommended using it for the Nexus 4, so I will continue to use it.

Seems louder but the equalizer thing isn't as nice as the audiophile setting in noozxide, the settings are different so I'll need more time to tweak things.

It's definitely an awesome app, and the convolers you can use make it sound even more awesome.
You have to use the a8 with NEON driver enabled to make it work on your nexus 4. ( thats what i did)
I currently only use the FX app and not the HiFi, since i dont like the HiFi app. It makes the sound quality worse in my opinion.
You should definitely use this app if you want nice audio quality.
I'm using it in conjunction with PowerAmp and it is sounding awesome
The only real fault I find with the N4 is the crummy audio. I'm thinking it is firmware related since it is with the external speaker and the output jack, probably crappy audio driver. Whatever this app does to correct it is totally amazing. It takes some tweaking to get it where you want it because it is nowhere near just a DSP manager. It is worth every bit of rooting and installing if you want to use your N4 as a music player.

I'm really curious to find out the difference between exynos/mail and the adreno/1.5ghz. If anyone had chance to compare them CRITICALLY (since they would both fly imo lol) could you share your opinions? Thnks!

I have both this and a Sprint Galaxy S2 with the same Exynos/Mali is the international, and they seem fairly comparable.
I haven't noticed a big speed difference anywhere in day-to-day use in the few days that I've had both.

I'm pretty sure all Galaxy S2 use the inferior Yamaha DAC. You'll have to go another manufacturer or last-gen to get Wolfson as far as I know.
I can't check for you on stock on language, but my Hercules running Juggernaut has Korean as a language option.

Beats Audio is nothing more than a marketing gimmick. There is nothing better about the audio hardware in the phones that have Beats compared to those that don't. All that Beats is doing is putting an EQ curve in place that emphasizes the low end, giving you more bass. Odds are it is distorting the music rather than enhancing it.

This. Beats in phones is not like it is in things such as laptops, where hardware has also been enhanced.

There was a test on a other Website some time ago, showing Beats Audio for Mobilephones - e.g. HTC Sensation - does nothing...only EQ settings...so DSP Manager works well too.
you can flash glados kernel
and use franco kernel app or glados control app
then goto sound settings
you can imrove sound performance
then buy poweramp & ENJOY !

Because it plays on a device thats made by samsung and it doesnt on a device google is selling.
I TiBu'ed from my Evo 4g LTE which is the adreno version and it works fine on my N7. I suspect texture issues are because ppl might be pulling it from non-adreno devices and trying to use it with the N7

So, after playing the game for a couple days I have to admit I'm not as impressed as I thought I'd be. It's allot like the first one. Same basic two or three missions collect, defend, attack. The graphics are better but it's the same basic premise. Similar guns, similar enemies with a couple variations. The overall game play is still much the same, very boxy, very enclosed. Nothing open world like Left For Dead. I like some of the options but when it comes to all the weapon making and upgrading it just kinda complicates things to get to the same end result from the first game. I dunno. The verdict is still out. :screwy:
