There is no mass storage function in newer android versions.
Use forum search function there is a thread about this.

it's not possible.
it's on the same partition as all apps you've installed, and all data/settings.
you pretty much have only 3 options:
use a custom recovery to access internal storage.
learn to live with mtp(it doesn't require kies, windows vista, 7, and 8 can access mtp devices directly without additional software)
or use ftp to make your internal storage available, this works almost the same as mass storage mode, but over wifi.
It is posssible with sdcard but not with internal storage.

This is killing me... The Tab Pro (SM-T320) isn't recognized by my Mac as a drive. The only USB options are camera and media.
How do I enable mass storage mode?
Unfortunately there is no mass storage mode in android anymore, it is handled through mtp which sadly OSX does not natively support.
You can either use this http://www.android.com/filetransfer/ or one of the many wifi based file transfer options like running an ftp server on the phone which is what I normally do.
Thank you.
Is there some way to set up usb mass storage instead MTP? I found only this but looks like it is device specific.

It works. after you run the script and you connect your phone to pc, your external sd card shows as removable disk on pc. So it works. :good:
Is there a way to enable mass storage mode on the G3 ? even only for the sd card. Thanks!
Enable the USB Debugging in Developer Options?!
You're posting in the wrong section. This should be in the Q&A.
Anyway, what do you mean by "even only for the sd card"? You can enable your so called "mass storage mode" by connecting your phone using an micro usb cable provided with your phone to your computer and selecting Media device (MTP) mode.
This shows up your internal storage and internal sd card (if you have any) on your computer. If you only want to show your SD card you have to pull out your SD card and connect it separately somehow to your computer.
Good luck and next time post this in the corresponding sub-forum please.
lols mtp mode is different from what he's asking , mass storage mode.
google disabled this starting from kitkat.
@TS none of the current apps in play store that enables mass storage doesn't work with G3.
I cant even get my phone to show up on my pc anymore -_-

Connect USB cable, then drag notification bar and choose file transfer.. If still you can't transfer file then turn off USB debugging if it's enabled.
