No mms - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I recently installed avatar rom on my note II and have since then noticed I can't send mms or receive them. I've tried numerous things to try and fix it but get nowhere. I was told it was the apn I went reset and nothing. I really like this rom and would hate to have to change it. Any suggestions??

[Q] After rooting, MMS not working

I rooted and used the [ROM][JB 4.2.1] XenonHD RC2.1 (30.11.12) download. Everything is working awesome, fast, etc etc. Except my MMS. Since the new ROM I can't send or receive any.
Does anyone have a fix or idea for this? I was going to ask in the thread for the ROM but I am a noob and don't have enough posts yet.
Thanks!

I went and checked that out. I am not having problems with my SMS. Those are working just fine. My internet and everything else is working fine too. Only the MMS isn't working which from what I've found means I need to edit the APN settings.
Same problem here can't send mms using T-Mobile with unlimited data

I changed some of my APN settings and am getting intermittent MMS's sending and receiving. But it's still messed up.

[Q] MMS for Sprint Gs3 on Straighttalk

I recently had my sprint s3 switched to straighttalk. So far I'm happy with my choice. But when all was said and done I was told to download gosms to recieve SMS messages. I hate using aftermarket messaging apps. I have tried editing the APN but nothing works. I am running stock JB. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, the consensus is to use Go SMS.
Ok thank you

Wow....gotta revive an old thread. I also did this, but can't even get goSMS or handcent to work. I actually like those 3rd party apps. I know that apn can be changed within both of those, I just don't know what they are. I also am very happy that I switched

[Q] Can not send mms pictures

So I updated to jellybam 6.7 after having 6.5 already installed and now my mms will not send pictures. Text will send just fine. I tried to stop the program and clear data/cache, then I tried to reboot into recovery and fix permissions. Both did not work. It is on android 4.2.2 please help:crying:
I had what sounds to be the same issue when I had the original evo. No matter what rom I had flashed I could not send a picture message. I had even unrooted it and still couldn't send them. I downloaded go messenger or some other messenger and had no issue. I ended up taking it to the sprint store to get it checked. I found out something went bad and the phone could no longer send an mms with the stock messenger. They ended up replacing my phone. My suggestion is take it to a sprint store and have them check it. Your phone could be doing what my evo was doing.

It might have to do with your APN settings. You can try the FIX I posted a while ago. Here ifs the link:

Hope it works for you, it seems to be a hit or miss for some people.

Mines doesn't send them but so far I can receive thru 4G. And mine shows no error. It just constantly sits and says "Sending" by the msg.

MMS not working
Hi, I received my device a few weeks ago, direct from T-Mobile as a replacement, and immediately used the motochopper method on my mac to gain root on my SIII with LTE. I am not running any custom roms. Yet I cannot send a MMS message. It just spins forever; trying to send. I have verified that my micro SIM card works properly and my device has the correct APN settings according to T-Mobile USA (I have tried both fast.t-mobile.com and epc.tmobile.com without any luck). I have uninstalled AdAway and turned off CPU Tuner, LBE Privacy Guard, and Lookout. The only other rooted apps I have installed are BusyBox, SuperSU, Greenify, AutoKiller Memory Optimizer, Mobile ODIN, ROM Manager, SystemHelper, Titanium Backup, Delayed Lock, and Voodoo OTA RootKeeper. Is there an app that can assess my configurations to determine what is causing the MMS failure? I do not believe the device is faulty. I tried using Go SMS Pro and Handcent SMS with out any luck as well. Thanks in advance!
I would start over. Back up your important data and factory reset (you wont lose root). I have a feeling it may have something to do with one or more of the apps you just listed, like LBE, auto killer, etc or possibly a combination of them. Start completely clean and test if you can send/receive normally. If so, install one app at a time testing each one.
If it continues w/o any apps installed, then call T-Mobile and ask them to reset your account. See if they have any ideas if that doesnt work. Id also replace the sim at a T-Mobile store. Theyll swap for free if yours could be faulty.

Unable to use mms

I have a Sprint gs3, running CM 11 Monthly snapshot 3.
At first, everything worked as expected. For some reason now, I am unable to send mms. I've been trying to change my apn, tried other mms apps, all to no avail. Anyone know of a solution to this?
Ask questions in the questions forum, and update profile and prl. Sprint is doing a lot of work lately.

Download 8sms... Stock message app doesn't automatically send mms over wi-fi at least on sprint.
