[Q] Transparent statusbar JS3 + ADW

So I've been searching for a solution to turn my statusbar completely transparent but with no result.
I've edited the statusbar_background.9.png file to completely transparent but all I get is a black statusbar.
On other threads and screenshots they are using other launchers, could this be the problem? Im using ADW launcher.
Btw, The statusbar is transparent when the lockscreen is on but as soon as I unlock and return to the homescreen the statusbar is black.
What I want is my background to go all the way up but still see all icons in the statusbar, so disabling the statusbar is not an option.
Note that I do not mean the draggeddown statusbar.
post your framework-res and i will post a transparent one for you
other launcher use 16 bit resolution. transparent notification bar can only be showed in twlauncher i think
This is my framework-res.apk without the statusbar edits I've done.
Thanks!
It worked now. Thanks anyway lgkahn.
The problem was ADW Launcher as corgar said.
Worked fine with Zeam launcher, lets see if Zeam is worth keeping.
Lol turn off 16 bit mode 'wallpaper hack' option in adw settings. That will give you transparency you wanted.
nvm I found it our
Thanks Merdini!!

[MOD] Transparent Status Bar

OK. Now a lot of us know this that it is possible to change the status bar color in idle for TW Launcher to transparent. This makes it display the entire wall paper in the background rather then just showing an ugly looking black bar in the idle screen. But then is this hack only restricted to TW launcher. Is there no file like "status_bar_background" in the LP or ADW launcher which can be replaced by a transparent one so that it gives one a transparent look just like it does in TW when you replace the above said file?
Q&A forum mate, and its not a MOD
Oops! Sorry for the wrong thread. I was wondering if any themer would reply to this one...

(Q) transparency in statusbar

I tried to get a semitransparent statusbar in the sgs 2. Some launchers like Zeam and TW support transparent statusbar. I modded the framework-res.apk and system ui. But seems there is something else that prevent transparent statusbar. Any ideas?
send a message to the person or post in the thread about their theme as AFAiK they have a transparent notification bar in it

[Ask] Transparent Statusbar

Anyone have transparent statusbar ?
I would love to see that too.
It only looks good on home screen. It horrible wen using apps as it just shows as a black or distorted bar at the top. If u really want it use framework mod here:

With the tweak box plugin to change statusbar transparency without modding apk as its easier to revert back

status bar

Is there any mod that could change the size of the icons in the status bar ie... signal, battery, 3g/4g/ H symbols?
I just got my nexus 4 rooted and very new to this. I am on the original stock 4.3
Not sure about icons itself, but if you wanna make the statusbar and navbar smaller you can always play around with the DPI settings.
/system/build.prop
Edit the "ro.sf.lcd_density=320" to something like 240. Do note that some apps might be broken or misaligned.
To avoid this, use a custom rom with custom DPI capabilities.
