I recently flashed aokp android 4.2.2 on my galaxy s3 i747 successfully. I just have a few question that I just can't find the answer to. First, I can't figure out how to change the desktop grid on the stock launcher. Is this possible in aokp? I would also like to no how to use the menu capacitive button (bottom right of phone) as a shortcut to google now. If aokp does not include this, is there another app that might? My last question is how can I delete home screens in aokp? I am so sorry for being such a newb and sorry if this is the wrong thread. Not sure where else to look.

I wish I could help more. I am running AOKP on my nexus 7 but not on my SGS3. You are probably better off using another launcher from the market like apex or nova, instead of the stock launcher. They run a lot smoother and have many more options.

I really love the ICS style folders where you can see what's in them while they're closed.
Is there any way of getting this functionality in a custom launcher?
And while you're at it, what custom launcher would people recommend I've had a look at ADW, but the lag (even though it was slight) frustrated me to no end.
I love how the default launcher is so smooth, but I really want to get rid of the google search bar (without using the method that disables google search).
There's a version of the SE Xperia launcher that works on non-SE devices and has the same folders as ICS. I just don't have a link right now, sorry. Maybe search for Xperia launcher 2.3.4. There's also an older version of that launcher with different folder where you can't see whats inside, so be careful to pick the right one.

Is it no longer possible to reduce the number of homescreens on ICS? I had a Captivate and was able to, but I'm having an insanely difficult time finding the option on the Galaxy Nexus.
I don't have a good answer for you, unfortunately, but just so you're not alone I couldn't figure it out either.
I ended up just installing ADW Launcher EX and editing them that way...
I really wish the default launcher had a vertical app drawer option

Hi Guys.
The stock ICS launcher is superb. However with all the great widgets and folders, its a shame that we have only 5 home screens.
Is it possible to add two more home screens and make it 7 as I think thats the perfect amount.
Im rooted so any tips on how to do this myself and push it to my device or even better if someone has made the adjustments themselves and can share the file.
NOTE: I don't want any other changes to the launcher. I like the constant Google search bar integration and I don't want to remove anything. I just want 7 screens.

Not on stock. You'll have to try a 3rd party launcher. The cyanogen team put out Trebuchet launcher in another xda forum for testing. You can add home screens, even remove the search if you want. Personally it has been running smooth with no issues, but I've read of some people with issues (probably don't have a nexus)

I wonder if it is possible to use Launcher Pro for your homescreens in combination with the stock app drawer?
I looked around and most people said it wasnt possible.

try it and find out. Also he was on 2.3 which may be different results. Would be cool because I'm missing custom launchers and but I like the stock drawer.
I've tried the custom ICS Nova launcher and its ok. I don't like having to flash it to get it running right.

the only reason why that works is because motorola added a shortcut to the app drawer, and because of how they coded it.
most likely this will be impossible with the stock launcher because there is no shortcut to launch it.
Hey all, running rooted on the sourcery jb rom. Very happy with it, but there is a customization I had in the past that I cannot find, don't know if its a ROM option or a launcher customization. When I hit the Recents button, I get the normal list of tiles with recent apps. At one point I had an option to change that interface to a Sense version which gave me a "coverflow" style, and one or two other options. Can anybody tell me where this is? Was it a ICS thing that I can't get yet in JB, or did I just forget which launcher it is in (I dabble with many of them). Thank you so much for your help.

To the best of my knowledge that wasn't a feature that was removed between ICS and JB. Do you happen to know if you were using a custom launcher before, perhaps Apex or Nova?
I have Go, Apex, Nova, and ADW installed right now and I can't find the feature. I know the first time I found it I just kind of stumbled upon it. The more I search the more I think it is a lost ROM feature from some other ROM i've run in the past. I just hope I'm wrong.

You are correct. It is a mod that is available in, and for, certain roms. It is not a feature of any of those launchers.
Thank you....but dammit. Now I have to hope that the sourcery team likes it enough to incorporate it. I really liked that sense version.
