Hi evryone,
I have a SERIOUS PROBLEM !
I have installed a wrong file in my galaxy note 2 N7100 as resauld I can't past the boot screen.
The only things I can do is enter recovery mode and download mode.
I always been on the stock rom and was rooted by the framaroot methode.
The only file that was messed up is system/etc/media_profiles.xml
If I can get the original stock files back I can finaly use my note again.
I browse the internet and found nothing.
I just want a flashable zip for my Galaxy Note 2 N7100 with the stock system/etc/media_profiles.xml so I can flash my Note 2 via recovery mode so I can use finaly use it again.
I won't loose any data.
Please help.

What do you want actually? Only the .xml file? Or the stock rom in zip?

hiya, my build is a xxdlk7, does this mean i can only install roms wich that has that in title? i had some rom earlier wich i cant remember the name of, think i used odin to install it, installed CWM 10.1 but it dosnt support multiview for my Note 2 so want to pick another, tried to install some aroma dll7 but it dosnt want to be installed with rom manager...
You can install any rom you want. ..of it is made for your phone .... you need to flash using Odin on pc or by going into recovery. ..cwm or twrp.... not using rom manager

thx, think i know what i did wrong, downloaded a wrong version.. like dll4 instead of a dlk7
no problem you can flash any rom you like of your phone if you have clockworkmod or a other recovery.

What matters is whether it is GT-N7100 or N7105.

Need some help again,,, ive downloaded N7105XXDLK7 rom, but i have no way of getting it to the phone since i cant start it and transfer it to the sdcard... ive been trying to push it to the phone using adb for the last 30 min... dosnt work, i have no clue what im doing here
Also checked odin but dont understand it.,,, cause the N7105XXDLK7 ive downloaded is a zip and cant mount that in odin...
So my question is, how do i transfer files from pc to phone in recovery,,, have also tried the sideload command with no luch :/

Up date to the newest version dll7...it has fixed security features. ..do you have custom recovery installed? ...cwm or twrp?
You need to put the file on your sd card and then use the custom recovery to flash it

i've got a note 2 N7100 and it never pass the (samsung) word. i know that knox is voided from the download mode. i have no more infos. i guess it was on 4.2.1 and his owner tried to flash the new one 4.3!
any help the make it boot normally!!?

Best to flash the official stock rom since you don't have much info on what was flashed on this note 2 before you bought it.
If you're interested in stock kitkat rom then get it from here Here extract the zip file you'll find the .tar.md5 file place it in the pda/ap option in odin ,put your phone into download mode ,connect it to odin ,make sure you've installed all the samsung drivers and such and then hit start and let odin do it's job should take around 25 mins or so.Good luck.

Most (not all) of the time, you can just pull the battery out while the phone is trying to load and stuck at the screen. Sometimes this fixes bootlop and non-booting issues. If it does not, then you'll want to follow the procedure above and flash another ROM accordingly.

This just isn't true, sorry.
Most of the time boot issues are rom/kernel/data issues. So wiping data, aflashing roms or flashing a kernels are the most common fixes.
Typically the first two.
i recently got bootloop because of an app delayed lock.
fixed by using aroma file manager to delete 2 files
/data/system/locksettings.db
/data/system/locksettings.db-shm

hello everyone, i have a rooted Samsung Galaxy Note II(GT-N7102 Daul sim) that i got from a friend of
mine. im not sure if its a clone or not but im having hard time putting in a custom recovery. the odin
method will not work nor will it go into odin mode and yes ive tried several different ways and it simply
will not work. ive been at this for about a week now.
so my question(s) at this point is:
1. Is there a flash-able recovery zip file that i can install via stock recovery?
2. Is it safe flash a custom recovery using the skipsoft tool kit via sideloader in the stock recovery(ADB)?
or
3. is it safe to install a custom recovery through the Rom Installer App?
morale of the story here folks is i just want put in a custom english rom but i cant do that without a custom recovery. and if anything i just want Gapps to work on my current rom(for now anayways)
also this probably off topic but i would like to know if theres a way to tell if i have a clone or not
your help and wisdom will be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance!!

You must flash first custom recovery from Odin Other you can flash via recovery.
Also the newest I think 2.7.1.0

turns out my device is a clone(MT6577) but can i still flash CWM in the stock recovery?

Hi Everyone,
I need help rooting my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100. Consider me a noob. I've been seeing youtube videos on how to do it... been reading forums... have tried everything I could... but this phone just doesn't root. I have tried rooting and i have failed miserably. I then had to flash the stock firmware... I am running android 4.4.2.. You can see the attached image.
I would like to root this phone and flash android lollipop or some other custom rom onto it. YOUR HELP WILL BE DEFINITELY APPRECIATED. Thank you ahead of time.

Go to twrp ( power +volume up+home key)
Install update file
Ur phone is now rooted

Hello Everyone!
I'm stuck!!! If anyone can help, it is so appreciated!
I attempted to root my subject named device using ODIN following these directions:

Everything seems to go as planned until restart.. the tablet continuously reboots, over and over, but fails to load.
I have no clue what to do from here, so this is my only option... ask those who have much more knowledge than me!

That's called a bootloop. Something went wrong with flashing. What is a subject named device? That autoroot method only works for smp600 that is already running stock 5.1 or 4.4.2 . Boot into downloadmode using the appropriate buttons, then Download stock firmarwe from sammobile.Com and flash via Odin to get back a working device.
Which build are you on? If it is 5.1.1, that method will result in a bootloop if you try to root.

The tablet is a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) Model SM-P600.
Not sure about the build.... but I will most definitely checkout the link you provided - thanks!
Question, can I flash a different rom rather than stock?
Also, I was just able to flash TWRP via ODIN and was able to get TWRP to load on the device. I'm hoping to flash a custom rom from the external SD via TWRP. I don't care which one at this point.. just need to get the tablet functional again and get a backup saved lol.

Here is "how to" instruction by me - post #225 for upgrade to the latest 5.1.1 and root your device. Once done and you want custom rom, just boot into twrp and flash any custom rom that you like. Let me know if you have issue.
