Hi all,
I'm planning on getting some Apple EarPods for my Nexus 4. I can take calls and other things using the remote. I'm not too sure on the fitting though, should be ok.
Part no. MD827ZM/A
But, my main concern is that I might need some buds/covers/tips for them.
Does anyone have a pair of Apple EarPods along with buds/covers/tips what ever you want to call them, usually provided with regular earphones. Picture added below.

I really need to know if the regular buds/covers/tips will fit the Apple EarPod.
Please let me know, many thanks.
not working
I'm using my iphone earphones for my music, but it's not possible to use the volume buttons so you need to change the volume with your mobile phone.
This headset is only compatible with Apple devices, so if you're looking for new earphones, please buy android compatible ones!

I too use my old iPhone 5 earbuds with my new Galaxy S4. I like the fit and feel of them better. It's a drag that the volume doesn't work, but I live with it. Sorry I can not help you with covers for them, I do not use any on mine.

Hey guys,
basically what I would love to find is something to place into my car cupholder that would hold my phone while allowing both the usb power / and 3.5mm audio jack to be plugged in. I don't need a mount as such, anyway to hold it whilst allowing the cables to be plugged in would suffice.
I love to using the audio jack straight into the stereo, it works wonderfully as a makeshift handsfree. Please let me know of any ideas or possible modifications I could make to existing products to make this work. T
Thanks!!!
Would this work? It says you can connect cords through the base.
$6.95
It doesn't show as much of the screen as I would like but it does look like a very good option....I'd give a shot, one problem is no postage to Thailand.
Thanks though

Just search for cell-cup, it's sold everywhere... Amazon has a 2-pack of them for like $11.

I thought about that one too, but he said he didn't want a mount.

Well a mount might work, if it was cheaper. This one is for iPhone so I'd be worried about it fitting. It's not a universal type mount is it?

this is the one i use daily. I use it to stream pandora, and as a hands free.

i've buyed today earpods..and my FIRST tought using them with the uberlicios " BEATS " was what the f-ck????? at volume at max they were killing my ears...so if u want to use them with BeatsActivated nop..don't use them...I think that beats mode are made ONLY to sound ok with headsets like this one

but if u want a cool sound and an relaxing one you have to use them without beats activated..and using another player that has EQU and using it you can put select different profiles(bass, low bass, bass and treble, rock etc)
I'm using Poweramp and ...poweramd kills "beats" at quality...
Just to know if u buy this headset .
you must use fake ones? my homie got one pair and with beats audio they sound FANTASTIC!! i was thinking about buying them as "portable" music playback because i usually only use over ear

As title states, I have a Jawbone Icon HD headset which I really like but I would also like to get a good pair of earbud+mic that doesnt require the adapter. Can anyone who owns the original earbuds the XP came with detail the model # and or a mice alternative?
I have seriously purchased like 3 pairs of earbuds+mic only to be disappointed, mostly because I have to use the adapter or I get the "device not supported" notification.
Any suggestions on alternatives and the model # on the stock earbuds+mic that our phone came with would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance.
Anyone?

Or you could use basically any headphones with this adapter. I bought it myself, and it works with all headphones with a microphone/play-pause button.

Basically OMPT is the type of headphone jack that is in the XPlay. So if you got OMPT headphones, you won't need to use the adapter. Why don't you want to use the adapter? lol. Personally, I haven't owned any OMPT headphones, but I heard from a few friends that the XPlay's stock headphones are pretty decent.
If you still are going to buy standard headphones w/ mic, to use with the adapter, I'd go for these. I've owned them for more than 6 months, and they are probably the best. In terms of sound, mic, and build quality.
Hey guys, i've just bought the Apple Earpods and after trying them on my iPod Touch 4g, I tried them on my phone. They weren't detected. I looked for info about it and in this forum I saw that i had to download soundabout. I did, but Earpods aren't still detected. Does anyone have an idea of this problem ? Thank you all !
It's blindingly obvious. You can't use Apple earphones with Android devices because they were made for Apple devices. These earphones will contain hardware that can only be used with Apple devices. No matter what program you use, you won't get the same experience from it as compared to using it with an Apple device.

Looks like Earpod is not supported by Sony phones, not a software issue. Incompatible headset notification appeared on Sony stock Rom. But, when I tested it on my friend's Samsung Galaxy Note 2, it worked.

It's not an Android's problem because I tried them on my bro's phone and they worked.
Isn't there any solution then ?
I believe Arc uses OMTP audio jack
Will earpods are TSSP (like most other phones)
U can find OMTP to TSSP adapters/converters online

It's not a software thing, it's hardware related.
It's the 3.5mm jack itself. The 2011 xperia phones are made with OMTP standard jacks. But most of the new headsets are made on the CTIA standard.
The difference is the switched ground and microphone place of connection.

As you see it on this picture.
You could buy a adapter or cut the cable and switch the connections yourself (not recommended )
Altough, any headset WITHOUT a microphone will work on both devices
hi. first of all i've read the forum rules about questions but i'm still not sure if i should post here or in q&a since this is both a question and it's related to accessories. if this is the wrong section please move the thread.
anyway i'm going to buy a bluetooth hands free for my car to replace my old headset. since i always listen to music from my phone when in my car i was thinking about buying an hands free that also supports a2dp. i searched for some time both here in xda and on the internet but i'm still not sure what to buy.
firt of all a list of what i'm pretty sure i will or will not need on it:
integrated microphone, possibly with noise cancellation or a mic in connector or something similar, anyway i prefere not to use the phone mic
integrated speaker is not needed at all, i plan to use it only with the car speakers
keys for music control on the receiver are not needed
integrated voice controls or any other integrated function are not needed at all, i prefere to use the phone functions directly
now a list what i'm not sure about.
first of all is bluetooth 4.0 needed? i heard that if both the phone and the receiver have bt 4.0 i will have better audio quality and less battery drain, is it true?
i'm not sure about what i prefere about the internal battery and the cables. i prefere to have less cables as possible, but usually this kind of decives have unified cables only if the cable is built in both in the device and in the car charger. also they usually don't have internal battery. even if i don't think to use it outside my car i don't like the idea to have fixed cables. also an integrated battery will allow me to use it even if the engine is stopped.
i had tons of other questions before starting to write this post but now i forgot most of them, anyway i will update the post as soon as i remember them, in the meantime can you post both suggestions about my doubts and product suggestions?
anyway at the moment my best choices are:
GOgroove SMARTmini AUX
