Hello everyone,
I just test Epic citadel a benchmark powered by Unreal engine and I would like to know your scores
Link to the app
http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.epicgames.EpicCitadel
Here's my results F240L (Thermal throttling disabled):
High performance (very fluid)
42fps
Ultra high quality (laggy)
24fps
if you knew some optimizations to get better results I'm interested

58.1 on high performance.
55.7 on high quality.
29.6 on ultra high quality, 100% rendering.
Thermal throttling has not been touched and I have the cpu control turned on for better battery life.

This is mine
High Performance = 59,5
High Quality = 58,2
Ultra High Quality = 32,4

Why everyone tryes to creat gazillion new threads to fragment the forum instead of posting results in one neat thread? So to results will be easily compared between models and brands of smartphonemakers

Because a thread dedicated here is better I think

Well, before I bought F240 I tryed to find results of HTC Butterfly, Nexus4, Galaxy S4, HTC One, Optimus G to compare them with each other. I bothered to count days and week I spent searching that scattered pieces, frustrated and abandoned

With both settings turned off for thermal throttling, I experience no lag at all on ultra high resolution. It looks so good on this 1080p display. Especially on.Max brightness.

Good to hear! you are on a stock rom I guess
I will try to go back to see the difference

Yeah, I'm on stock rom. Now my scores weren't as good as some of the others posted. But with both thermals off, on ultra high resolution, I can navigate explore mode with no lag. With 100% rendered. Really amazing how good everything looks. Definitely a nice app to showcase performance and 1080p display.

No Exynos or Super Amoled for the Galaxy S4

the bootscreen is fake, and as with leaks specs can faked as well. The GS3 supposedly had a 13MP camera and a 3mp fromt face cam..... but we all know now that isn't the truth

..... just sayin' .....
I think the note2 once the gs4 come available will drop in price and would be a Better buy. My girl friend got the note 2 and I play around with her phone often and it's hard going back to my phone with no s pen and smaller screen I know what I'm getting.

Sammobile usually is spot on with info. Looks interesting to say the least.
Honestly I'm not mad about the gs4 not having an exynos processor. If anyone has looked at the power consumption for the dual core a15 soc in the n10 it's crazy high. So I could see why samsung would have a hard time getting it into a phone without it overheating or draining the battery. But the loss of a samoled screen is a little more I interesting. I don't know how true it is bit it could be a huge blow. And seeing some of the flexible displays were 5 inch 1080p versions I don't think it's far fetched to think they can't make one that can work in the s4
Would be awesome if it has a snapdragon

I'd take any rumor as of now with a grain of salt. I think Samsung's won the heart of many consumers with their Amoled screen. There's not much wrong with the technology, aside from screen burn in. The colors are so much more vibrant on an Amoled screen than any other.
As for the CPU, that's entirely possible since we've already experienced that with our current device. Wonder what's in store for us this time. Hopefully it's another Qualcomm CPU, since it plays nice with CDMA and EvDo.

[Q] Quadrant Standard Edition rating scores

Hi everyone,
Apologies if this is a rehashed question (My thread is two fold... Also to put up my post count!) But I was wondering what kind of 'weight' we can put on a Quadrant score? Is it really a reflection of how good and how fast our smartphone is?
I've used it in the past in trying to determine the best combination between ROM + kernel + OC app, but today by far, I've hit the most I've ever seen on my N7105.
Basically, DN3 v4 (BETA) + AGNi v4.2.1 R3 + 1.9Ghz OC (via AGNi tweaks) = 9211 on quadrant.
I was so happy!
I'm just interested to see what people think about the quadrant rating anyways, and what scores you've achieved.
They dont by any mean reflect the smoothness of the device, this test tests the power of CPU, GPU and ram of the phone. U might have a smooth device and low score and maybe the opposite.
Btw 20K stock

Nice score! I have a friend who said that the Note 3 is a touch over 21st stock as well.
All I know is that the DN3 ROM is butter smooth and my score definitely reflects how good the ROM is. (Quadrant on a stock Note 2 is 6400!) So I'll take those results any day!
Was just wondering how everyone else fared with their scores!

WOW. What ROM and AGNi settings are you using? I'd love to know!

[Q] Barebones ROM

Hi there,
I am running CM12 (Lollipop) on my HTC Desire HD and was very excited to see it on there
But now I feel like the experience is choppy at best. Yes I can overclock and underclock but I have a couple questions:
a) Is there a typical process that can be halted that would improve the performance of the phone when running CM12?
b) As an older guy, I'm a little old school. I want to see my old phone be zippy and light (ie getting the most out of the old hardware while maintaining fluidity). Is there a ROM that would be considered barebones...I really need the basics:
- phone, messaging
- connectivity/tethering
- camera
- performance tools/features
- decent battery life
I do no real gaming on my phone (simple games at most)...nor do I watch movies other than occasionally pulling up a video on youtube and or review a vid just recorded
Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I feel CM12 was cool, but it seems overkill on this dated hardware
Thanks

Overall speed

Would you say that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 / S7 Plus is "fast" in day-to-day use? A higher rating indicates that you think the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 / S7 Plus exhibits fantastic performance. Like, is it as fast as your tears when you watch The Titanic?
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Super fast. No lag even when downloading many application at the same time. Not a gamer though. Blasting fast for during the web and watching movies.
As a general use device, the performance is plenty fast. For productivity, Dex is amazing from an UI standpoint, but the actual performance for productivity tasks is seriously lacking.
Take for example video editing. The prospect of a slim, lightweight device with bright, color accurate screen, great battery life and LTE connectivity, that can help you fill in the gaps (basic edits, shot selection etc) between your shoots and when you get back to your main desktop workstation, is quite appealing.
But this is where iOS is 3-4 generations ahead of anything android has to offer. Not only will my T875 not even play 4k 10bit All-I H.264 files from A7SIII (I tried Adobe Rush, PowerDirector), the usb speeds when connecting a portable SSD is only around 30-40MBps! Meanwhile, people blast iPads for not having proper file management when they give laptop-class performance and full 400-500MBps usb speeds...smh.
Alas, I got played by those Geekbench scores (865+ is not THAT far behind A12z...) and those charming spec sheet readers aka YouTube "reviewers" into thinking the tab s7 will be the portable yet affordable editing solution I was looing for. NOPE! Get the iPad Air 4 if that's your scene...
I take solace in the fact that I have a pretty decent, 11inch android "phone" with pen support that I can also root if I wanted. Also, lightroom mobile/photo editing in general is pretty decent (too bad I'm not a photographer) and you can always remote connect to your desktop on-to-go thanks to LTE and strong WiFi radios (I haven't put any case on it just in case it'll degrade the one strong point of this tablet!).

In the last picture before you there are three numbers under the word "Performance".
These numbers; Max, Avg and Min are the maximum performance and the minimum performance. If these numbers are close to each other that is good.. if there is a big difference that is bad it means the device throttle and you're not getting full performance.
In the picture it's good it says that the max performance and the average performance are really close and the minimum one is only 10% less.. so most of the time you're getting the best performance and when getting the worst it's only 10% worst.

Oh alright, thanks! I see better here. Like on desktop, thermal throttling and voltage throttling, CPU being underclocked if thermal/voltage throttling. Great, it is interesting indeed.
