Hello Everyone,
I seem to have an issue with my 1 month old Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos i9082.
I managed to root the phone a couple of weeks back and all went well, however for the last few days I have had a problem with the icons on the screens, the option to move them (when continuously pressed) is not there, what happens is the app relating to the icon just opens up. eg. if try to move the Gallery icon it just opens it rather then enabling me to move it to the next screen.
I haven't installed a new rom or anything, just the out of the box Samsung stuff. I have also rest the phone to it's orig. settings but still nothing.
I have tried looking on the forum and all over the net but couldn't come up with anything to help me.
Many thanks for your help in advance
I think you are new to android.. Move to icons to where.. To homescreen or apps drawer..

Hi rejocie .. thank you for your reply... to answer your question ... to move any icon to anywhere, e.g. either to delete it or move it to another screen, and that's the same problem even if I try to move any of the apps from the apps menu to the homescreen. it doesnt move .. it just opens the app.
I hope this makes sense.

I was trying to add widgets on my phone's homescreen... Just found out that other 3rd party apps don't work/can't add it on homescreen like Advanced Clock Widget... Is there anyway to fix it?

You haven't by any chance inadvertently locked the desktop (>menu>Lock Desktop), caught me out once or twice.

Thanks d00d, but it seemed unnecessary to do a full wipe just because a certain widget doesn't work. Thanks again.

By default it should be on what? Phone? I think it was set to install in SD... I tried moving it to phone memory, and yeah it's now working. Thanks d00d.

hi,
before a week I think, I intalled my new rom - CM7
and yesterday I discovered that I installed new widgets but they are not in the "widgets list", just the default widgets - like original clock.
I mean that if I install widgets like clockQ, minimalistic text and more I can't added them to home (Go Launcher) and widget locker
what version of cm7 are you on? and how are you trying to add the widgets?

in cm7 stable, the last version file name is "update-cm-7.1.0.1-buzz-signed.zip"
I'm pressing long on a free space and click on "widget"
Make sure they are on installed on the sdcard (external memory).

I am happy with my galaxy nexus. I bought mine a few weeks ago (fairly new) and it is currently running with Jelly Bean. But !!! After installing an app - Image 2 Wallpaper, the phone start giving me a headache .... :crying: A
See attached picture !!! The wallpaper resolution is reduced to 1 / 4 of the original screen and is located on top left corner. Any solutions for that ? Since I did not want to loose the data in my phone, I tried using clockworkmod and back-up / restore the phone. But the problem with wallpaper has not been rectified yet ...
Any suggestion or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot

Go into apps in the settings and go to the all tab. Then find Launcher. Clear data on that. Press the home button and it should be back to normal.

I use the 120 DPI on com.android.settings, modified via App Settings... the text become much smaller so it's a bit harder to see but at least it feels like you really have a five inch phone not a four inch.
is there a note 2 style gallery app for gt-i9082(grand duos) running jb 4.1.2?
i really like the spiral feature and i cant get one on my phone..
