I remember there used to be an app called Voodoo that worked but I guess it isn't compatible with the GS4. Is there anything similar? The headphone output volume isn't loud enough when I plug it into my car's aux cable. The GS2 was much louder.
Bumpppppp.
I'm still looking for something.
Try volume +

Viper4android is a real highend audio setup
Theres some threads about it, it basically is the premier to have setup for custom audio enhancements on android
Theres a thread and info I believe in the note 2 forum
Here's a link.

When I connect my Bluetooth headset my audio level is not very high. Anyway to boost this? The few apps I did try just put in a slider volume control and didn't really boost the level.

No ideas?

I haven't noticed volume issues with a bluetooth headset... could it be a problem specific to the headset you're using?
I have an app called Volume+ from the market, the free version works with bluetooth and boosts it slightly. Also this latest rom I'm on Wicked Sensations seems to have louder output all around than a stock rom.
I used Semaphore on my captivate and it had settings to boost the volume, I use the phone for work purpose and I am already struggling to find a headset ( over the head + wired with mic ) but I need a kernel which will bump the volume
Please suggest

Just use volume+ app. Itll work wonders. No root needed either. Allows you to adjust external speakers, headphones, bkuetooth, and in-call. You can boost volumes on all of them. It works very well. I use it on all my mobile devices.
V + doesn't work on mine for headphones.. level never does up

Same thing for me, Volume + doesn't work with headphone volume, but works ok for speaker.
I really need to find a solution, even Dice Player 's volume boost doesn' t work on my Bell SG3 (I747M)
Try an older cm10 build, the earpiece volume was deafening... Lol

Hi guys,
How does everyone find the volume level with headphones? I find the galaxy s3 is far too loud on volume 1 to listen to. On my s2 I use fine volume control, but I hear it doesn't work on the s3 on jelly bean. Does it work on the note 2? Does siyah kernel work? As can reduce the volume in ex tweaks. Trying to work out which phone to buy, but they all seem too loud! Have tried different headphones too, and same issue. Thanks a lot guys

well of course kernel is neat, however I wouldn suggest volume boost. That comes with speaker buzzes. Anyway, stock is pretty loud tho.
if you're trying to reduce the volume, user poweramp for your music, then go into the equaliser, and drop the master volume amplifier (the adjustable bar on the far left) to the lowest setting to reduce the volume further.
alternatively, download any equaliser app and drop the master volume or drop all the eq frequencies to reduce the overall volume.
Thanks, power amp is indeed quieter. Just wish that it would work with dsp manager...

Why would you use dsp manager when poweramp has the best equalizer out there
Dafuq u r buying a phone just for a smaller volume level?

No but it's a big factor for me. Power amp is ok, but to my ear dsp manager is noticeably better. I've bought some new headphones, not inner ear and this has helped with my issue greatly. Seems inner ears may just be too sensitive for android. Neutron with my new black box headphones seems perfect. Still looking at the note 2. Thanks for the help everyone, that Perseus kernel is really handy, as I still need to be Able to reduce the volume level in extweaks or something similar to minimum.

I read that perseus kernel has some audio tweaks but I'm running saber kernel.... So I am looking for something that increases the db output like Voodoo used to for the s2...Thanks for reading
Ps beats and ac!d mod aren't as potent as voodoo... Looking for a punchy bass as oppose to the deep hum

Hey I just wanted to add that if anyone goes this route for me personally running on Skynote 8.1 the 60 dbm tweak kept on messing with my music player. I don't know how to explain it properly but when is be playing music through my car aux port and I'd crank the volume the player or 8 tracks would pause shortly after and when I'd hot play again the volume would be at mid level again.
This didn't happen when I replaced the configuration with the 58 dbm file.
Everything is working great now and although I have no equalizer this little tweak here has made everything a ton better!

My top speaker is blown and the bottom speaker doesn't play the full songs it leaves stuff out and Idk how to switch to mono I've been searching for like 2 hours and the closest I got is boella sound control but I don't know if the nexus 7 supports those kernels and power amp but I don't have any cash to buy it any suggestions? Please and thanks

Maybe the only way to fix it is take it apart?

Wow my question is the only one that got unanswered wtf

You need some sort of sound mod that supports mono. The old Voodoo sound app is an example of a sound mod that had an option for Mono output. I don't recall seeing a mono option in any sound mod that was not a root needed app since they typically need to be supported by the kernel.
If you are on 4.3 you could check if viper4android has a mono option for speakers. I think I vaguely remember saying they added it. And I don't know the status of viper4android on 4.4 except i didn't see it in the most current 'new features'.
