Now that I finally have Android 4.2.2 I'd like to use Dash Clock but the Sense lock screen really ruins the experience. How can I get the stock lock screen app as an APK? Or is it another way to get a more clean lock screen that works with Dash Clock?
Try to rename htclockscreen.apk to htclockscreen.apk.bak and see if that works.

Will that work without messing up the phone? Don't really want to try it and have to restore.

This gave me a new AOSP-looking lockscreen but I couldn't edit any of the widgets on the lockscreen. And there was only one page on it. Is the Sense launcher to blame here as well?

One page is enough but how do I get dash clock on it now? It doesn't respond to touch input.

You have to go into settings>personalize>lockscreen style>then choose the widget one and click settings and it will bring up the menu of available widgets (it's just like how you configure a live wallpaper).

Problem is it looks like crap on the stock HTC lockscreen since it gets resized to such a small size.
having an issue w/ dashclock 3rd party modules (ie: applauncher module): cant get any of the shortcuts to work. ie: i set up a direct sms or app shortcut but when i extend the widget to press on the desired action, nothing happens. after i press the desired shortcut, unlock the htc l/s, my homescreen is all that shows up...any ideas? tia.

Make sure you have mounted system as read/write and it's not mounted as read only, then it should work.

Thx, man, I was able to rename it. Unfortunately it didn't work out. Switching launcher should do the trick?

I am new to rooting, but am learning a ton. I wanted to see what the RenderFX widget and the RenderFX lock widget did......but every time I start one, I get a FC. Can someone please help.
Also, do I need to download a lock bar in order to get the RenderFX lockbars to work? For example when I switch to rotary, my lock screen doesn't change. I also do not see a way to get more sliders in the options I have.
I hope this all makes sense and Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

You have to rename or delete the htclockscreen.apk from the/system/app folder, before any other lockscreen will work.

OK.....maybe I don't need this widget to work, after searching for it a while....it seems rather useless. However, is there a need for it in MikFroyo 4.5?
And my other question about the sliders......how do I get those to work?
Thanks again!

I'm trying it now....thanks!
So I found the file using the ESfile explorer........but it says it can't be renamed or deleted. Am I going to have to use ADB to do this?
Just go into Titanium Backup or whatever you use and uninstall the Lockscreen settings apk and the force closes will stop.

You have to mount the drive as r/w. I'm not sure where that option is in es, but in root explorer its on the to right of the screen

Go into the personalize part of the settings menu, and go into the widgets and try changing the setting for the widget
Alternatively, you could try a theme that doesn't have the clock as standard?

With out using a launcher?
Hmm?
The launcher is "what you see"
It's like explorer.exe on your windows computer.
You have to have one.

The LauncherPro app gives you that capability. In its preference menu, simply maneuver to the 'advanced' setting and enable the 'use 3D drawer' feature.

It'll change your homescreen and your app drawer.
It won't touch your theme.
Yes, you will not have a rosie anymore because launcher pro will take it's place.

It has been on some themes and rosies mods, but I cant remember for what roms. look in the themes/mods section for whatever rom you are running, and you might get lucky.

Wow, really ? Of course there always has to be somebody to point out the obvious. I doubt the op is that ignorant that he can't figure that out when it asks him. I guess some people just can't help but argue. Yet another useless post in the wonderland that is XDA.
Anyone know how to set the lockscreen wallpaper in MIUI programmatically? I want to do it from tasker, but tasker only has a setting for the desktop wallpaper, and not the lockscreen. Thanks.

Set a transparent .png as your lock wallpaper, and a slideshow LWP as your home. Or since you can change the home via tasker, just set that and make the transparent your lock paper. The transparent lets you see your wallpaper for your home. If that's not what you'd like, then IDK what to tell you. I attached the transparent.png for you

I was wondering about this also. Upon research and a lot of googling, I think we can only use live wallpapers if we don't use HTC Sense but instead use other launcher app like Launcher Pro or Go Launcher EX. Haven't tested it though.

I believe the SuPrimo ROM has a link to an add-on that allows the battery percentage to be displayed on the top right. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1640995

does not have that option... if you want it really bad then you could try an alt lockscreen app like widget locker or golocker
