I've a at&t note 2 its rooted, I had flashed jexi rom earlier. I screwed up and had to restore the phone. Now after I root I can't flash anything I get the security verification message, even when I toggle it with
clockmodmanager. I'm lost can someone help or at least point me in the right direction?
Ok you flashed Jedi, was it thru Odin,, recovery, what? Did you use CWM, TWRP recovery??
Then after root you can't flash anything, huh??
More info on what you did then maybe we can help point you, in the right direction!!

Yes thru oden. Flashed with twrp. When I try to flash any rom I get signature not valid. I installed clock modrecovery because I read you could toggle the signature, but im still getting errors. It just says bad, with ckockmod twrp says signature not valid.

I would fully wipe the device in recovery. . Then boot into download mode and Odin push a stock image to repair the file structure. ..
Most likely you have a bad Odin recovery flash. ..
But the risk in flashing recovery again is further partition damage. ..
The Odin return to stock will repair any possible damage beyond recovery. ..g

Probably right he needs to download goomanager and install open recovery script, then fully wipe aka wipe cache, dalvik, system, and data then flash rom to phone.

Rooted stock builds are located in the development section. ..
In particular. ..find the thread posted by Mr. Robinson. ..titled root 66 UCAMA4 build. .edit: here it is:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2004650
It is an .img file. ..And is flashed via Odin only. ..
It contains the radio image also. .and is my primary return to stock method. .
The rom is complete and clean. ..And although rooted. .will allow OTA update to UCAMC3 ... (latest build)...if you want that feature. .
As others have eluded to above. ..You must be absolutely sure "what" you are flashing is "correct"...
And the "method" combined with "file type" is appropriate. ..
Otherwise. ..You are in danger of severe file and partition damage which leads to hard brick. ..
Protection of the IMEI and EFS hidden partitions is critical. .otherwise you will kill the device. ..
If you have questions regarding the methods or terminology of any information I've mentioned. ..Please read and understand the steps "before" attempting further flashing. .
We can help you. ..But ultimately. ..You are the master of the flashing domain on your device. ..
Take your time and read read read about every step. .
Then you will own and fully comprehend what is taking place. ..g

its the one for odin, has bootloader, pda, phone, csc, those staff,
The one in the post I gave you should only be placed in the PDA section of Odin and you flash it from there and we will see if that works. Make sure you right click and rename the file by removing the .md5 label leaving only the .tar making it Odin flsshable

Okay go here -http://stockroms.net/file/GalaxyNote2/SPH-L900- and download these 2 files.
One is a Sprint LJ1 stock rom. (Flash through Odin on PC)
The 2nd is the flashable zip of LJ1 to LJC (do it though TWRP or CWM)
Make sure to make a backup of your apps and data because it does a restore.
There you go

wierd that someone would send you to another site to DL files, files that you can get here with actual instructions on how to use them. (really? ODIN one thing, then CWM another? Just to get stock? smh)
and then for a person to send you to do this without mentioning the HFA errors and Chameloen FCs that you get from reverting to an earlier ROM from the LK8 leak, and how to fix that.

If theyve used roms and such on their phone they would know exactly how to do what I described.
Pretty easy stuff.

Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda premium
I am including a version of Billard's TWRP, (original thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2086769) to make it easier for you to revert to LJC. What I do, coming from LK8, is the usual prescribed wipes, before flashing any rom, but I also wipe with the new Carrier button under the wipe menu. When you first boot the new rom, it will rebuild the wiped carrier partition automatically and reboot. Once rebooted, the Handsfree Activation will begin, and the Chameleon errors will no longer be a problem.
This recovery is a godsend.
If you want to go back to any other recovery afterwards, just ODIN your chosen recovery, or flash one, whichever format of recovery you downloaded. I usually just download Goo Manager from the Play store, and install the official TWRP from OpenRecovery Script.
This is a recovery zip file you can flash with the recovery you have now.
Hope this helps, and Billard, I could not find a link to your recovery (found it!! Updated to your original link now). If there's a problem with me sharing your recovery, let me know!
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?a=show&w=files&flid=2472 << chose the one with carrier wipe!
As always, proceed with caution, and I am NOT resposible for any and all problems you may run into.
Thanks so much.

what I did was I flashed the custom recovery by Billard, then I flashed the LJC_Stock_With_Count_Reset[FINAL].zip and that put me in a boot loop. I then booted my phone to download mode and flashed COMBINATION_L900VPALJC_CL434243_HWID04_HW_Rev0406_user.tar.md5. The result was my note 2 back to stock with stock recovery and 4.1.1 ljc! If you were to flash the COMBINATION_L900VPALJC_CL434243_HWID04_HW_Rev0406_user.tar.md5 without first at least installing the custom recovery and wiping the carrier settings I know that the combination tar will fail and you'll be stuck with a kies message. If you follow my steps your phone should also go through with the combination.tar file and put you back to unrooted, stock, ljc. Hope this helps someone.

No all jokes aside is what happens when you revert back to LJC from any of the other builds like LK8 and up. Something breaks which causes hands free activation to start up after every boot and it fails to activate device.

Didn't need to. I got it to work. I unchecked auto-reboot and it worked. All I did was flash the TWRP .tar and flash a rom. Rooting first was not needed.
Agreed...
Root is not needed if a user wishes to:
Make a pure stock backup....or current rom backup...
Flash another rom that already contains root...
Recovery is generally only needed for those functions anyway...(that's 90% of my time spent there)...
Everything else is a bonus....courtesy of our generous development team....g
Anyone know where I can get the most recent stock system and stock recovery tars to flash in Odin or what they're called? I have to go back to full stock.
I cant flash a rom and have it work. I have tried several ROMS like aokp, jedi, smooth, jellybeans, etc and they almost always brick. Jedi worked but google services crashed back to back to back to the point where i couldnt even use the phone. does anyone know of a 4.3 rom that works on att sgh-i317?? i basically went down the list on galaxynote2root.com and tried them all but no success.
I have root, have TWRP installed and flash the rom and it bricks. i factory reset first, then install and nothing.
any ideas?

Then place the files to your SD using a card adapter if no USB connection is possible...
Then fully wipe the device again from within the latest version of TWRP recovery and flash the new downloads ...

I did those exact steps and it did not work. i tried flashing pac man rom the last time and it got stuck in a boot loop too. I think there are some files that are corrupt or some temp files somewhere that are preventing a successful flash. my binary flash count was 9. and that was just on this run, ive tried flashing several times before. each time the only way to recover it is hooking the phone up to a pc and using kies to flash back to stock firmware. this sucks.
What version of twrp are you using? I have never had this issue you are having and I have flashed every rom on this forum for our device.

9 counts ??
Uh....yeh...not right ...
Have you messed with device partitions in ODIN ??
If so...something is definitely wrong ...
At this point ...you may want to consider a full return to stock and allow the PIT to properly restore your partitions..
Just follow the return to stock guide (sticky )...in the general section ..
Once restored to stock with a corrected flash counter you can begin again using CF auto root as your root method..
It sounds as if you have root issues and possible partition damage...
One other step you can try first is to boot into download mode and re-root using CF...
That may help....but certainly won't hurt anything...then attempt a clean flash again..
If it fails ...then the return to stock and rooting again seems prudent ...g

I used the sticky on turning your phone back to stock which used odin. I followed that list perfectly which said to flash stock using odin, root using cf then using triangle away, then super user to fully unroot. Then I installed clockword mod recovery, booted to recovery mode, cleared all cache and davlik and factory reset again, then installed the aokp and it got stuck in a boot loop

Here's what I do with twrp when flashing a rom.
Go to wipe menu and then advanced wipe and select dalvik, cache, data, system and internal(optional). I do it three times to make sure. then flash your rom with gapps (if aosp)
If someone could show me how to post a link that allows you to flash TWRP onto 4.3 then you can kick Samsung's generic version of Ft. Knox to the curb. I have the one click Odin file on my phone..... Just don't know how to get it out to everyone else.

Wow I can't believe no answers yet.

Really? You need a link to TWRP recovery? Or "a link that allows you to flash twrp"? I'm confused. :what: You can flash twrp on 4.3 through odin. But if you flash TWRP that trips Knox, and even if you somehow flash back to 4.1.2, you still have a voided warranty. So why not just flash a touchwiz 4.1.2 rom (not through odin). Unless you found a way to go back and get rid of the bootloader? I'm sorry I'm just confused. But if you need to post a link upload it to a host. Then share the link.
If you need a recovery might I suggest this one:

Good catch. He just created this thread by itself after asking the same question in another thread. The other thread that he posted in was a response to someone hard bricking there phone trying to down grade the bootloader. I assumed he got an old bootloader you work. The way he worded it in this thread does leave it open either way.
