It depends on how much you want to slow down your phone really. The ones posted above are pretty much be best balance between performance and battery life you will get. Much faster than on stock, and uses less battery. But you can disable cores and underclock and play with other governors, but when your running a kernel that already gives better battery life and faster performance than stock, why would you bother changing that?

If I remember right noop puts all in an equal queue whereas row prioritizes accessing info over creating it.

Actually I've been getting a few reboots but I wasn't sure what was causing them
Sent from my SGH-M919 using xda app-developers app

Try loading and applying stock table. Eh but if they're few and far between then personally idc. But that might be the cause. That is if your ROM kernel combo is rock solid, etc. Could be your phone has the chip of a lion and a crappy kernel or ROM is causing reboots

Thanks! I guess i won't change anything since the reboots aren't close together, I have been noticing my apps have been force closing more than usual

Doing -25 across the board instead of -50 might stop the reboots for ya.

Minimum clock freq.

What is a good setting to set my minimum clock frequency.. the highest i put it to is usually the default 1.5 or underclock it just by a bit to 1.4... but what should i set the minimum to?
I know the lowest is best for battery, but that means the phone will be performing at those low frequencies as well and might slow it down a little bit.
The lowest option i have is 384 mhz then 486, 594, 702, 810, 918, 1.026, 1.134, 1.242, 1.35, 1.458, 1.512, 1.556, 1.62, 1.674, 1.728, 1.782, and 1.836.
I keep mine at the lowest setting. No problems.

CPU core spikes

Hey my CPU cores keep going to 1.9ghz making my phone hot. I'm on deviant kernel 7 hypedrive rsl12. I have it on Pegasus and zen I/o scheduler and max set to 1.5 and min to 192mhz please help its killing my battery.

Flash another kernel, change your governors, under volt, underclock.
Have you tried any of those?
Also make sure no other apps are messing with your processor speed, or certain setting applied at boot.

Enable CPU power saving in settings. This would limit max speed to 1.26.

CPU

I don't know the difference between underclocking and undervolting but I set down my CPU to try and increase battery life but I don't know how much to put it down. I the default max was 1512 and the minimum was 300 something. Screen off I have a 500 Mac and 300 min. Other times I have a 100 minimum and 1200 max. Can I lower it?

I don't know about best. That's definitely a question that will generate many different answers. These are my settings and they work well for me but they are also fairly conservative. By no means am I trying to get the highest benchmark scores. And of course the same settings will not produce the same results on every device. I should mention that I don't use sweep2wake or doubletap2wake, They will to some extent lower battery life.
Set CPU core separately = no
Cpu overclock to 1620 MHz
L2 cache and bus bandwidth = ElementalX
Auto Undervolting = 850 min
Thermal setting = run hot. Mine never gets very hot but then I don't do a ton of gaming.
GPU overclock = 450 MHz
GPU governor = ondemand
Cpu governor set to stock ondemand. With ElementalX governor I was seeing a slight stutter running quadrant.
Gboost = I am not using.
Enabled max screen off frequency.
Enabled USB fastcharge.
Disabled magnetic on/off. Tablet is naked, no cover.
Again, those are the settings that I'm using and they are admittedly conservative. Not using any apps like setcpu, kernel tuner or trickster. Don't forget to make a backup first.
Ok thanks, will give it a shot, thanks again

Intel CPU Governor

Could anyone please give me more info about this governor.
I can't seem to find anything on Google. Only that it is a interactive based governor and is optimized for Intel chipsets. I've been using this governor for almost a week now and am pleased with the performance.
I see that it has been included in the latest XOSP and also RR builds.
What do you guys think which governor is better for our device interactive ? Intel ?
Personally, i use interactive and yankactive.
what is the best kernel or rom that has a good battery life? I understand that the mobile network consumes battery but my crossed the line, not enough to last even 3 hours, and is already at 15%...
If you use The Octo kernel, you could under clock to 1.2 and 1.3 and enable alucard Governor to have two or one core active and having Barry_Allen enabled

Hi,
Pls, tell me what does it mean "...under clock to 1.2 and 1.3..."? Min. and Max CPU frequency?
And, what is Barry_Allen and where to find it?

Maximum frequency: 1250 MHz
Minimum frequency: 333 MHz
CPU governor: Barry_Allen
Go to kernel auditor, swipe left, go to CPU and the configurations should be there. Click on CPU governor and scroll down to Barry_Allen and select it. Be careful, it can be really conservative. Enjoy!

Yep, Barry Allen is the faster human alive, but in the series, there is a faster enemy every chapter. Conservative. lol
About Intel governor, I remember I read something about Intel capatibilities to manage voltages more efficiently (undervolting at lower freqs) but I couldn't find any confirmation of this.

Exactly ?
I think the Intel governor takes advantage of the powerclamps for more efficiency. It can be a performance type or Governor, but can be good on battery.

Depends on your usage.
Ssjactive: I would use for multimedia and browsing. It will also act as a conservative governor but will ramp up the frequency with other activity.
Intel: I would use for games and almost for anything. You'll be able to not have to worry about the performance at the cost of battery.
