Themes for V20 ROMs? - LG Nitro HD

I see ROMs in the Dev section featuring themes for stock-based LG 4.0.x ROMs; where are these themes to be found? Is there another LG phone with themes that will work on the Nitro? I'm sure the answer is in front of my nose...

Those themes are specifically for the optimus 3.0 launcher not the ROM itself. That being said the launcher themes a lot of the ui and can be downloaded and installed on any ROM. I'm using it with cm10 and wind kernel. There is a ICS and JB version available here on XDA somewhere along with installation instructions and all themes available for the launcher. It runs very well and is lag free plus supports home screen backup and restores. If u need any help let me know.

I don't know if you found it but here is the link for the optimus launcher and associated themes:

See the Original Post... I updated the apk to fix a couple things. I am considering it done as it works and looks just like i want it to.
I do not see a reason why this would not run on any other de-odexed rom (stock or otherwise).
this is for Jelly Bean though, which would be CM10. not sure why you would test this on CM7,that's totally different.

Guess it doesn't work on non-aokp based Roms. There are framework things it looks for.

[ROM][P930] Liquid Nitro V7 [04-10-2013]

Liquid Nitro
Modified AT&T Stock ICS
I love the stock ROM. Mainly because it's just about the most stable ROM I've used. However, there seems to be a ton of useless apps and such that AT&T installs on it. So in Liquid Nitro, I have removed all of the bloatware, fixed a few memory leaks, and made various tweaks for speed, network speed, and better feel. I hope you enjoy.
Please feel free let me know of any issues you find.

FAQ:
Q: Why the incremental updates?
A: I've always hated having to download 100 to 200mb files just for a minor update. So, my updates are just the files that have been updated.
Q: Can I get this ROM for my su640?
A: I'm not quite sure yet.
Q: Can you add {Insert App Name Here} to Liquid Nitro?
A: I can sure give it a try. Post it in the thread and I'll take a look.
Q: Can you add {Insert Paid App Name Here} to Liquid Nitro?
A: No.
Q: Will this void the warranty?
A: Nope. Go here and read about it.
Q: Why does the Optimus LTE logo show at startup?
A: That is a side effect of Wind Kernel. I've mentioned it in the Wind thread and the developer is going to look into it. This is taken care of in V7.
Q: Is there any way to change the AT&T boot animation in a future update?
A: Yes. But, I'm not creative enough to design a new logo for Liquid Nitro. If you want to help, let me know.

No, you have to have CWM or TWRP installed. From what I understand, you have to unbrick to install either of those.

I have CWM but I have never unbricked.
The reason I'm asking is because HONO's flashable stock ICS requires unbricking first..

You would probably have to unbrick with this one too then.
Great job mattman good to see you got it done. I'll be testing this as soon as I get back in town.

I have tried it. Works q uite fast. I wish that you may want to mod Bell v20e also. V20e seems newer than v20c.

i dont think unbrick is needed if you already have custom recovery. i have gone through cm10, both paranoidandroid ics and jb, official cm9, ho!no!'s cm9 and ho!no!'s stock ics with no problem, just by wiping and formating system just in case.

I think HoNo! was asked about that a while back and talked about the framework being incompatible so I don't think it would work. It may have to be written from scratch.

@mattman86
Thanks for your work on this. Just a quick question: I removed the custom recovery partition to have a pure v20c rooted following drumist's guide for some reason it just runs better, don't know why it just does. I like what you have done but don't want to go back and reinstall the custom recovery. Is there a way to find out what files you modified so I can just push them over? For example I found your modified systemUI.apk and pushed that over so I no longer have the AT&T logo. Thanks in advance.

Anyone else want foxhound rom?

Well I was thinking I cant be the only one who loves the look of stock AOSP/CM but the relatively bug free operation of stock roms.
Foxhound seems to be the answer to this but isnt for sprint:
http://android.appstorm.net/reviews/roms/foxhound-rom-for-galaxy-s3-the-best-of-all-worlds/
Wondering if anyone else would be interested in a rom like this? Also wondering if any devs would be interested in a project like this?
From what I could tell it's just a de bloated tw Rom with aosp apps right?
Then why not just do this
Use a tw Rom like blazer
use root explorer to delete the apps you don't like
Find the aosp apps for tw in themes and apps section and flash
Find inverted Google app and flash
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda premium
I guess the part I really liked at least based on the screenshots is how accurate the theme appears to be. I tried ICS theme but it was lacking
I would be all for this.

I'll bump to that!

Can you theme stock rom?

The reason I bought my Nexus 4 is to forget about flashing custom roms and stuff! I like to use stock and rooted, but I notice that all themes are only compatible with cm 10.1 or AOKP roms, so my question is if there is a way to theme the stock rom framework the way u can in cm10.1 or AOKP? Thanks
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Yes, it's possible. You can pull the appropriate files and decompile, theme, recompile, sign, then push it back to the phone (that will require a lot of patience and technical ability). You can also try using ZipThemer, but I haven't found any compatible ZipThemer themes in the N4 forums -- in fact, I'm not even sure tgat ZipThemer is compatible.
But the easiest way would undoubtedly be to flash a ROM with Theme Chooser capabilities and pick from the almost-thousand themes available.
Btw, is it okay if I ask why you don't plan to customise the s**t out of your N4? Personally, the only reason I bought the Nexus is because of the immense dev support, and also to teach myself a bit of programming and modding along the way.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
You could flash a deodexed stock ROM, then you'll have a very theme-able "stock framework".
Yeah but the thing is that when I start flashing roms then it's like an illness that I can't stop, I lost so much time on my galaxy s3 flashing roms tweaking and modding, man it just gets crazy! Also the update to 4.2.2 it's coming soon so I wanna stay on stock rom to get it as soon as it comes out!
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
I'm wanting to flash rasbeanjelly due to its amazing theme but I'm happy on stock so check that ROM out its pretty stock but the theme is really nice

Testers needed - a touch of Xperia for I9300

I'm looking for testers for a small package I created. The package contains Xperia Z launcher, some stock Sony widgets (weather, clock etc) and Xperia T kayboard. I'm currently using it with Temasek CM11 Rom but i'd like to know if it's working fine also on other roms and android versions. If you're interested, here's a link to the package, it's CWM flashable. This is my first attempt to create something, so please drop me a line below with the tested Rom versions and with problems if any.
