Does anyone know if there is a Gingerbread rom for the Epic that supports audio out with the official car dock? I have tried the CM rom with and without the SGS Dock Audio Fix, but it did not work. This is the single issue that is keeping me on Froyo roms right now! Hahaha.
Hello all,
I have a Rogers l747 on which I've tried CM10. The only make-or-break feature for me it's missing is USB dock audio support, so I went back to stock.
Right now I'm running the Bell Ll3 leak which has dock audio support, but stability leaves a little to be desired. It also seems to have camera issues with the newer KT747 kernels (9.18 and 9.23 TW JB). This makes me wonder: are there any other Jellybean ROMs out there for the l747 with dock audio support?
I'm not certain, but I think that filters out any CM10-based ROMs. Any help with this is much appreciated, thanks!
HI all - it seems as if every time I'm at a live music performance and want to record a video, the audio is absolutely atrocious. I saw that there may have been some sort of bitrate mod for the Epic Touch to address this, is there anything for the Epic?
Running CM 10.0, FWIW. Generally using Camera ICS+. No custom kernels.

Run a custom kernel Anything with Voodoo Sound will provide vastly superior audio playback and recording! I unfortunately have no suggestions for which to run though, since you're still rocking CM 10.0, but there are a few if you check the Developers section. I run the AOKP ROM with Nitest Kernel and have zero issues, but you have to run some other kernel then what comes packaged with the ROM because AOKP doesn't include Voodoo Sound code (plus, Nitest makes things much more responsive). One small additional caveat though, the thread for Nitest is Didhy's version and it doesn't natively include BigMem code for 720p video and requires you to flash an additional package, but Effsi's version comes with it included. This is Effsi's version of Nitest if you're interested. It's from March 8 but I had been running it up until two days ago, so don't let it's age deter you, but he's working on an update
Let me rephrase that, no custom kernels yet
I don't want to go to 4.2.2 due to the Bluetooth issues...

What issues? I don't use my Epic as a phone, not that I'd use a BT headset anyways, but BT has worked just fine for me to do a device-to-device file transfer. So either it isn't affecting that portion of BT's abilities, or AOKP have resolved whatever it is...
At any rate. I'm not sure what Radio you use (Epic or Nexus), but here is Effsi's last Nitest for JB v4.1 (Epic Radio).
I haven't been back in the forums for a few months, and immediately noticed that the number of new ROMS in the "Original Development" forum has exploded!
Does anybody know which JB ROM supports usb/dock audio? I currently run my audio in my car through a GROM unit with ICS.
TIA!
I guess the answer is "Nil"?
On CM 11 M11 Galaxy S3 ATT I have having trouble with Bluetooth when listening to music on my receiver. The pitch and tempo changes when playing a song. This is both in streaming media and content on my phone.
~UPDATE~
I switched to a touch based rom: S3Rx 4.0 TouchWiz 4.4.2 UCUFNE4 (10-6-14)(AROMA), and the issue with blue tooth pitch shifting went away. I thought I would try some other CM bases roms to see if issue continued. I tried pacman and carbon, the issue persisted. Does anyone know if CM bases roms use a different blue tooth codec then touch wiz based roms? There are some beautiful CM based roms out there. That I would love to use.
CM11 M9 was the last stable D2ATT release for Bluetooth. I have not moved off of it because of this. M12 came out today but I have no desire to try it till someone else does. I already went through the fun with trying M10 and M11 so I am waiting for someone else.
